At lunch time, when I wait for a plate meal at a Chinese restaurant and a person whose seat is next to me, get out a cigarette, I come to feel that

"Oh my gosh, It is unlucky today"

Since I had been smoking for about 7 months at the age of 20, I know the taste of "after-meal cigarette".

At the same time, all other periods in my life has been quit smoking, I also know the sadness that ruins meals by "after-meal cigarette".

-----

However, smoking itself is nothing wrong in smoking area.

So, I have very few feelings of "hate smokers".

Rather, I feel a sharp and violent anger towards a tobacco company that does not develop tobacco that is not smoke or smell.

(So, we recently praised the development and popularization of electronic cigarettes (this is another opportunity))

-----

People who can not put up with tobacco smoke, do not have to go to that restaurant ...however,

There are few restaurant that can offer meals of Chinese cuisine (and is reasonable), and many of that few restaurant are unfortunately smoking enabled.

So, what I do before entering a restaurant is just to pray.

"Please someone who smoke will not be nearby"

"Please, someone who smokes will not come near me"

(Continuation from yesterday)

I am afraid that it is difficult for smokers to understand that this violence smell of tobacco smoke to destroy my joyful meal. And I give myself up on explaining about it.

I think that many smokers think "I have a good smoking manner", and I can agree with them from the view point of "passive smoking".

However, according to "smell of smoke", it is a different story.

"Smell of smoke" is --- I don't know the mechanism --- terrible intense.

For example, I cannot run away from the smell through all commute walking, by just an existence of leading smoking person, 200 meters apart from me.

This case might occur because of "good smoking manner", in another respect.

-----

The other day, I read an article that the restaurant that deal with separation of smoking areas, loses sales.

I can understand it.

For me, I don't get a seat near a smoking corner, because I cannot stand for the smell.

If no seat apart from the corner, I leave the restaurant.

The article said that younger cannot keep working in that restaurant.

Sweeping a smoking corner is likely to be a "torture in gas chamber" for them.

(Continuation from yesterday)

This time, I want to propose "Ramadan".

"Ramadan" is a event for Moslem, they don't drink and eat anything from sunrise to sunset for a month.

This is a kind of case study of a sympathy for starving people. Some people might think that this event is full of hypocrisy, however, I believe,

This is a better wish than moralist who criticize and move off.

-----

My propose is "smoking free period, based on Ramadan style".

But it is difficult to find out a moral standpoint, so let it be enacted into law.

The purposes will be for health and anti-smoking.

Contents of implementation include totally non-smoking in Japan for about two weeks, and stopping of tobacco sales(There is criminal penalty provision). We may enter a subsidy system for informants.

-----

The media continues to watch politicians, entertainers, presidents of companies, etc. during that period. If there is an illegal act, I think that we can broadcast it extensively. It is good to lower the brand value exceptionally.

"President who can not even smoke for only two weeks ... Does this company have a future?"

"Law maker themselves are illegal?" This is really shit stick."

-----

However, what I want is difference from that.

Only anti-smoking for only two weeks makes it possible for smokers to fully understand the "violent smell of tobacco smoke".

I can tell you that, as an experienced person both in smoking and non-smoking.

I have died sickly in Delhi in India on my journey when I was young. At that time, I remember the emotions got up, however, I could not understand that.

"If it is the nearest from here, is Okinawa?"

-----

"So what? "

Some people think that, however, this has been a big problem for me.

I can understand if there is a feeling of "I do not want to die" or "Where will I go if I die?"

I can also understand various thoughts about "religion".

If it is "family" or "lover", it would be even easier to understand.

-----

I know that I am not a "patriot", and I do not like the idea of "nationalism". In addition, I hate that word "nationalism".

If you ask me about "Japanese as a national character", I think that I will respond "I am not interested". I understand "local love" and "neighborhood love" as just knowledges.

I dare to speak of my ideology, "individualism" and "selfishness". I think that they are fit for me.

-----

But what made me fall into the darkness of doubt,

In that moment of whether we live or die,

the concept of "birth country"

happened, and it surprised and upset me about my own existential significance.

(Continuation from yesterday)

On the 27th of the last month, I received a call from my wife, that my father in law, in Kagoshima fell into a critical condition.

She received notification from her uncle, "his blood pressure becomes less than 50, so today is the last day to be in at the finish". And she and senior daughter went on board a plane at Hanada airport soon.

Waiting my wife's message by my smart-phone at the office, I was really surprised to get the phone call from her.

"Just after the time when they arrived at the room, the blood pressure of father-in-law went up more than 130"

He has lost consciousness, and could not eat any food. At that time. Drips had already been stopped, and they were just watching his die.

For me, this pressure rise of him, was likely to be a "miracle against laws of nature".

After that, while my wife and others talked each other "He might keep this condition for a few days", however, he passed peacefully away at 10 in the next morning, in everyone was working busy.

It seemed to be calm and peaceful, nobody noticed his loss until a nurse noted it.

-----

After the message from my wife, I started to prepare for a flight and a rental car. At that time, I saw the Line message of the previous day from my wife.

"Daddy might pick spirit by hearing our voices"

At the moment, I found myself crying out "that's it!".

(Continuation from yesterday)

At that time, I thought that I could resolve my longstanding problem

"Language is not a simple means of communicating information, but a means that can deliver human thoughts to people"

I was in a state of dying at the Indian Delhi at that time, I thought

"I wanted to die among those who can understand my words and those who will speak to me."

I do not think that my father-in-law who was in critical condition in Kagoshima was able to understand the voice of her daughter and granddaughter as "message".

However, even then, he received their "voice" as "love"

and responded to that "love" with "intention to live (rising blood pressure)", and

while listening to the "voice" of many loved people,

he quietly passed away.

That's it.

"You are great aren't you ?, my father". I could not keep the tears from my eyes, and left the office.

-----

After that, I went to the company's office to prepare for the move to Kagoshima from the next day, to get pollen allergy and insomnia medicine medicine,

The doctor who consulted my eyelids said, "Can you show me your eyes?", and

He said, "this is really terrible hyperemia," and prescribed large amounts of medicine (for 3 months) at one time.

You may not feel it, but the clock of PC loses time easily.

これは、

The reasons are that

- the accuracy of the oscillator installed in the personal computer is bad (instead of cheap)

- most PCs can acquire the correct time from the time server when connecting to the Internet,

so it is difficult for to notice it.

I studied about a personal computer to realize handling time of 0.000000001 seconds (quite incredible), so I am familiar with the time accuracy of this personal computer.

-----

In most companies, when accessing an external server from a personal computer, strict security processes run.

So, my personal computer was also in trouble because I could not set the time synchronization with the external server quite well.

Leaving it out, the time goes loses time more than five minutes in a week, so I tried it a lot

for example, tunnel a hole in the firewall or design of a module that receives radio waves of domestic radio clock.

-----

However, one day I noticed

"If I set it manually, is it soon?"

It took me less than 20 seconds to manually set the time of the computer while watching the time of the watch of my favorite radio clock.

Engineers want to "automate" everything.

Their motivation for "automation" is not wrong.

"Automation" "Lightening" "Simplification" "Speeding up" is justice no matter what anyone says.

However, it is also an engineer who tends to lose sight of "cost with the justice".

When I saw the notice of the animation "Violet Evergarden" with the theme of "Auto secretary - doll",

I thought "Is this about artificial intelligence, android", but, The theme was the opposite(the details are omitted).

It is an animation of really beautiful images (of course, it is a very wonderful story too)

From the start to the end of the program, it makes me feel like I am in an art museum where beautiful pictures are displayed.

When I visited "Orsay (× Louvre) Art Museum", I remember the time when I was overwhelmed by its beauty and lost my energy ---- as a good memories of overseas business trips that gave me a lot of unpleasant feelings.

It is rare for me, but I sometimes stop a picture and I am looking at it ---- to stop the movie and watch it as a picture.

Well, aside from that.

-----

I read three articles only today, stating that "It will be the era when artificial intelligence will do if it is a simple task."

If I were an artificial intelligence with personality, I think probably saying like this.

(Continuation from yesterday)

In order to obtain "only" a resident card and family register certificate that the government office can issue,

(1)Operating with a personal computer

(2)Going to the office,

If asked which better is, I also choose the (2).

Considering how many times a citizen's voucher or family register must be copied during the lifetime, "fighting with a PC" is not an optimal strategy.

-----

So, "the government office is okay for the time being" --- I don't think so.

Probably, the administration will shrinking or abolishing the office, and it is supposed to try to force people to "PC + convenience store".

If someone asks the administration for truncating the digital divide people?" Well, they will naturally truncate.

Compared with welfare for the elderly and measures against declining birthrate, this line is easy to say easily.

"You are bad aren't you ? Because you have not used a personal computer"

People who can not use 'PC + convenience store' will be asked by a merchant who pays high money and acts on it.

In the end, the job of the administration is cheaply paid to the private sector.

-----

In yesterday's diary I wrote "Dark future for people who can not use PC".

For such a future prediction, some people try to argue in the story that "interactive AI should be needed...".

Of course I also expect "interactive AI".

"Google Home"

I think that "Google Home" etc. is a big step toward this future.

I am serializing the column of "AI's dark future", however I believe that future persons will read my column and make me laugh as "stupid pessimist" after ten and twenty years.

That is the most wonderful future.

-----

However, I think that there is a big lie in this "why, interactive AI ...".

Initially, AI technology is a mass of logic.

AI technology can not do anything for things or humans of "logic failure" (e.g extralogical complainer) that can not be logically matched.

I can understand the feeling "That is a significance of existence of AI isn't it ?"

But, in that case - you see, here is very important -

AI technologies must logically analyze the logic of that "logic failure"

(Continuation from yesterday)

In other words, AI technologies try to ask the complainer about the following questions,

- Why is this complainer angry?

- What is the cause of the occurrence?

- What is the intelligent level of this complainer ?

- Is there a mental illness in this complainer?

- Is there a person who has an explosive personality in this complainer's relatives?

- Has he/she made similar claims in the past?

The complainer might to be asked "Do you know the multiplication tables? "Do you know why the object falls".

If I asked such a thing, I think that "I will destroy that AI's device with a fist."

-----

The crucial difference between AI technology and humans is something about "consideration", "treating" or "reading the air".

This is a big issue that current AI technology can not overcome human being.

For the person who will say "Nevertheless, for those you have said, I think there is something to do ...", I have no more words to say.

私は

I come to think that

"PC is better than AI, because PC doesn't say something disagreeable"

Recently, PC story continues now. Today, I tell another one.

I'm doing work at a neighborhood association, but now "keeping a person with PC literacy" is a ten times bigger problem than an ordinal problem.

There are few people who can use word, excel, and powerpoint in the neighborhood association. It is not used at all, such as a scheduler, conference reservation / notification system, which can be used free of charge on personal computers and smartphones. To tell you the truth, even no sign appears.

Some person don't have even their own mail address.

If they can use a PC or the Internet, it is obvious that we will dramatically alleviate the burden of neighborhood association events, and I don't need the trial calculation.

One officer said (with off the record) "If there are human beings who can use a personal computer, we can reduce four people in charge to one person"

-----

"At the meeting of the neighborhood association, the saying "I cannot use PC at all" is allowed"

I wonder if this saying is proper at the meeting.

This means, that the neighborhood association has accepted the logic of "I can not use a personal computer" -> "" Therefore, I can not do this work ".

-----

However, from my point of view, personal computers (and applications) are

"tools that are difficult to use, in the history of human beings"

I agree to the point completely.

I will tell you that the application interfaces of the personal computer are new and unusual, which we have never experiment in the history of one million years of humanity.

(Continuation from yesterday)

The reason why PCs have become "uncomfortable tool" is the interface. If you want to know the reason, the nearest way to make an PC application by yourself.

If I want to make applications for PC easily in as short a time as possible, I will design as that interface("Open", "Close" or "Overwrite Save").

-----

By the way,

You might think that the current GUI based interface is "difficult to use".

However, when that GUI interface appeared, our world (such as engineers and researchers) fell into a big mess.

I can never forget that shock when I used the GUI of "Macintosh SE 30" for the first time.

One of researchers had been rushing to "GUI will be disappeared soon" disrespectfully.

(There was a group of net news called "fj", and he always responded unpleasantly. So even now I remember his full name (I can say it)).

"The interface of the current GUI was a miracle technique combining a human (an ordinary person) and a computer"

At the same time, the "excessive respect" of the public to specified persons (like, engineers and researchers) who can handle computers at the command line, has also been lost.

Before the GUI interface appeared, there was a time when they proud of their son or boyfriend could use "computer" (with distance look)

(Continuation from yesterday)

Sorry but may I change the topic now.

I will return to the story of "Neighborhood Association's PC literacy".

After all, it is not an exaggerated story so far, it is actually a simpler story.

- People who use personal computer on a daily basis (business) can use a personal computer

- People who are not, can not use a personal computer

It just is the thing.

"PC" is the same as "English"

This is not a problem of "good or bad".

Even if you try to raise literacy in a PC (or English) classroom, it will fail in most cases .

What we need to do to raise literacy on a PC (or English) is

- to "Make everyday life that requires a personal computer (or English)"

And, furthermore, speaking out of

- to "make a crisis state that you can not eat tomorrow's rice" if you can not use PC (or English) "

You choose yourself the situation of (or it is chosen by someone's order) and, we have to reach where we can not return.

(Continuation from yesterday)

It can be said that this is paradoxically defining the "neighborhood association".

In other words,

"Even if the neighborhood association disappears, the situation that "the meal of tomorrow can not be eaten" does not occur"

The "neighborhood association" that is allowed the saying "I cannot use PC at all", is something of that level.

-----

In addition, one more step, paradoxically speaking,

Neighborhood association, after all, is something of the level, so even if you are appointed as an officer or group leader, you don't have to take care seriously.

I said that.

I think that it is probably okay (experienced story)

If you are "able to use a personal computer", it is a wild card for you against the "neighborhood association.

In the program, I am only one among hundreds of thousands of passengers generated, and I am just a parameter of even 0.01% in the whole.

Ebata:"First of all, I doubt if "it" was a really "the dream they had accomplished". If it was true, they can open the evidences. It must be very easy. However I have never seen such the evidences before"

Ebata:"So, about the present state of theirs, that is difficult for others to accomplish, they called it "my future dream", I think"

SD:"So?"

Ebata:"In addition, they overwrote all their archives in their mind, as their conventional history, I think"

Today, new my column is released, so I take a day off.

"Over the AI(11) ---- beyond a reach of our imagination of AI"

Continuing guessing artificial intelligence -- like a "politician" who submit to authority

-----

In this column, I talked that I was doing the coding of Reinforcement Learning in the mind for a game of "Fifth Eye".

When was it done?

"sutra chanting" in the middle of this funeral of father in law.

-----

Is it "unscrupulous"? - It will be "unscrupulous".

However, is it "unfaithful" to let the participants listen to unintelligible unacceptable sutra?

I think that it is an important service to properly translate the contents of that sutra into meaningful messages and bring to them.

-----

"You ... are you still edgy ?"

That's right.

My edgy diseases is incurable.

-----

だから

So, I had to say

"I am sorry, my father"

However, I listened to the monk's thankful(?) sermon properly.

(Continuation from yesterday)

SD:"Well, how do you live your life?"

Ebata:"I am just running about to finish the job before me. I don't have any special "future dream".

SD:"Purposes of life are not indispensable, are they?"

Ebata:"Unnecessary is O.K. Such purposes are going to make you suffer"

SD:"I think you are doing many works actively at the same time."

Ebata:"I just involve a lot"

SD:"Why do you want to do such difficulties so much?"

Ebata:"Certainly, "burden" gives me keen pains, however, "off hour" is also painful.

Ebata:"Of course, it differs greatly in individuals. So we have to control "off hour" by ourselves."

-----

SD:"I don't want to do much. If I do something, I have to be involved by others. If I am involved by others, I may be hurt by the others.

Ebata:"It might be good. However, I think there are a pile of way of "living alone"."

SD:"Really?"

Ebata:"I think that my life is an example."

SD:"REALLY?"

Ebata:"For me, both a company and a neighborhood association are just "systems", and the persons who involve the system, are just "system elements. In addition, this is the most important point..."

SD:"?"

Ebata:"I have never thought that I can control the "systems" and "elements" and I want to control them."

SD:"Uh-huh"

Ebata:"I can tell you that it is "you" I have contacted sincerely and seriously."

Ebata:"However, sometimes, the "systems" and "elements" becomes my obstacles against resolving my problems. In that case..."

SD:"In that case?"

Run away from it" or "destroy it" ".

This morning, I felt hungry. I got off at the interchange station, and I bought an onigiri(rice ball) and tried to get a tea bottle. At that time, I found a vending machine with hanging up a signboard. The ad message was

"Your purchase will help athletes by JOC Olympic support vending machine"

-----

"Close"

I thought.

However, this message doesn't arrive at me, because I was the slowest on my feet (including all girls) when I was a junior school student(It will be the opposite effect).

-----

I propose the following message from the viewpoint of marketing for users of a vending machine at the station.

"Your purchase will prevent our head office from overwork death by JOC Olympic support vending machine"

I have a slight pain in my lower back because of moving work of the departure.

The works are just to pack up in the same building, however the problem is PCs.

In my case, I am linking PC with geeky setting, so the system is difficult not only to disassemble but also re-build them.

Enough of that.

-----

At the time of change, I feel in a quiet.

"It is better to stop using name of newcomers and youth without an honorific title, and slighting them.

The reason is here. Please read through it.

In corporate laboratories, we may charge works to university laboratories or external outsourcing (software outsourcing etc.).

When I charge them, there are two evaluation criteria.

"make it or not" "work it or not"

That's all.

I am not moved at all, if a number of concept diagrams written on PowerPoint were printed, or if more than 1000 pieces of design drawings without operation certificates.

I really think that "the papers might be useful as making fire firewoods".

-----

However, for employees who are gears for a company,

"Bring moving software or hardware. Let's listen to the concept you say after that. "

There are people and organizations that can not be faced in the face.

-----

In my case, I have a consciousness that the point that "I say a thing like that" will be a problem.
