Last year, I installed Search engine (Google Custom Search) that searches through my homepage,in the top right corner of the homepage.

It is very handy.

I can quickly examine the contents of your column and diary, check my post of the same content, and make me easy to reuse the contents of the old diary.

-----

In my family,

In late night I brought my daughter to the hospital,

and,

I got stuck in the back when I was homecoming

we were trying to remember things at an end of the year, but I could not remember it.

However, with this search engine, I was able to call the diary describing it immediately, Just entering "hurry" "year end" "hospital".

-----

My second daughter said,

"It is amazing, it looks like a diary that it is being recorded properly"

"Undoubtedly, it's a diary"

Last year, I watched an animation called "Bunraku Stray Dogs".

It was quite different from what I expected. and I did not understand well what it was.

------

I had an image of the virtual world of "to argue literary opinions among literary writers together"

That is just my fault, in additon, it is out of question to criticize or condemn the work for a human being.

------

Last year, I think that some people read the column written by the weekend writer "Tomoichi Ebata." .

Some of them must think that it was quite different from what I expected. and I did not understand well what it was.

I'm reading the TL (Timeline) of other people on Twitter as a holiday in the New Year holidays (though the definition is now fluctuating in me).

I can see that a lot of people, really continue to criticize, against the whole world of the world, like "never be careless"

However, those criticism seems be "elimination" with "one shot".

-----

Understanding that criticism is the basis of a democratic society,

in addition, knowing well that it is really "it's none of MY business", however,

"Why don't you try to dig deep and continue only one criticism (with being patient with other things) for a year ?" "It will become "good""

I think that you can lead to the real bottom of the problem (or, you can feel like that), if continuing it for a year,

"Good" is not only for the person, but also it become "good" for us.

Criticism that I continue to consider many times over for a long time in myself - is strong.

-----

Any subject is good for us.

Even if it "diet", "one under", while continuing criticism (including surveys and interviews) from various aspects,

I can feel changing the view of mine, and

I'm really surprised by myself.

I hate disrespectful comments against my works, and

Even if you think "absolutely unforgivable", I will specify the person and fight thoroughly with that person, not only on the net,but also to draw the person to the real world.

Although it is rare, there is a disrespectful comment that makes me happy.

-----

Last year, I wrote a column whose title is "We don't need the AI that plays GO and looks for pictures of cats."

For this column, there was a person who gave a comment,

"This column is a plot of "dog faction" in "anti-cat faction"

I will present you "Best Dis Comment Award" in 2016.

The other day, I told you a story that I abandoned my policy of "I don't buy souvenir after seasonal home leave.

So I tried to buy a snack box as a souvenir for my section members, however,

I thought deeply that I should not have not tried something unfamiliar.

"lacking the count of snacks for the numbers of my section"

I confirmed that there was the snack box on my desk, that had not been round about the members.

This, I was not interested in checking snack's counts, means that I also have not been interested in the event until now.

-----

Now, for this new years holiday, the Ebatas made two teams of "senior daughter and wife" and "junior daughter and me" and went back to each country home.

Now, "two are in care facilities", "one is in a hospital" and "one is in the house with assistant" of four our parents.

These are "scramble" by all members of the Ebatas, called "homecoming".

Therefore,in many cases, all are completely exhausted after homecoming.

-----

The team of "senior daughter and wife" is going to come back home tomorrow. So I will ask my wife to purchase additional souvenir in her country area.

I cannot feel something is wrong with different souvenir, so

I think that I am a typical soapy, maybe.

As is clear from the diary of yesterday, during the New Year's holidays, I was busier than the days except year-end and new year,

In addition ,there were troubles of the printer and an error mistake of updating the address book at the end of the year.

"At last, I have just started to create New Year 's cards."

-----

To be honest, I cannot check the New Year 's cards and mourning postcards of the last year, and I am afraid that I cannot operate to send this New Year 's cards based on the correct procedure.

If you would receive my card or not, I hope that you will not be care of it.

And I will apologize in advance to you who resentfully say "Ebata is rude"

Anyway, I am bad.

I am planning to complete the status rollback at New year's cards of the next year (maybe).

-----

Ah, about the recent status report of mine ... I think you do not need this.

I guess there are not any people who are reporting on one's recent status report frequently besides me - toward "the world" everyday.

Whenever I watch a entertainer in s TV variety show who has said "I always lend a hand around the house" boastfully

I feel badly

"This pitiful person cannot understand what he/she is saying "

"Household affairs" is an affairs of household in the literature, so, the subject is always "I".

Therefore, "Household affairs" is "doing it by myseld" not "lending a hand"

-----

I don't think "cooking", "washing", "cleaning" and "child care" are special skills, even they are skills.

Therefore, the phrase of "I cannot do housework" is not acceptable for me, if you can use PC or smart-phone, except for the persons with impaired mobility by an accident or aging.

So I think the person who who has said "I always lend a hand around the house" is just to push housework on the others and to try another way".

(Continuation from yesterday)

On the other hand, I have no intentions to argue "we have to realize the perfect quality and quantity fairness of housework" that is really nonsense opinions.

On the ground that the situation of each member of the family (time in house, sleeping time, fatigue and others), and on the original way of the family,

I think that it is enough to

"do their best for their situations voluntarily"

- You can continue to use the underwear for a few days.

- You can continue to have a instant noodle everyday, even if you don't care of your health,

- You don't have to do the sweeping, even if you don't care of moted house and nasty smell

- It is also O.K. to escape from child cares, if you don't want to go a battle of "child care". I think it is one of the best strategy.

-----

"Do nothing until the others cannot tolerate the terrible situations and starts something"

I think that this chicken-race is "the new generation concept of housework"

When using e-mail at work, e-mails of various products and lectures and events will come in.

I feel that it is the lowest honorific to describe my office mail address in the questionnaire etc., I guess there is no choice that such e-mails are coming in.

It is natural that I feel good to find my full-name on the mail header, even it is advertisement mail.

However, there is no reason to write out each of the hundreds of e-mails by hand, so the mail will be sent by the system automatically, that adds the name of recipient from the customer database.

-----

About once a month, a maker company has sent me an advertisement mail of the company's product, however, the mail starts with "Mr." only at the top, as a follow.

=========

Mr.

The other day, thank you for taking part in the ◯◯ seminar.

Well, this time, our company released a new product ...

I understood that, "Well, this company failed to create the script of inserting customer name", however I do not have the obligation to tell them about it.

I was watching this "Mr-mail" for a while, and after all the mail continued for half of a year.

One day, an apology email came and this accident seems to have ended.

-----

For the person in charge, I wonder if it was more painful,

that the fact that no customer pointed out about the wrong mail

than continuing to send the "Mr-mail" for about half of year.

I have always relied on "Nikkei" magazine series, like "Nikkei business" and "Nikkei communication".

I sometimes read "Nikkei woman" and "Nikkei entertainment" in my company library.

However, even there are a lot of serise of "Nikkei" magazines, I am afraid that

"Nikkei cooking" have not come out until now.

Probably, I think that there is strategic judgment that it can not enter the market of "cooking" now.

"Orange page" on the shelf next to the cash register at the supermarket, and recently, CookPad also issues a magazine.

However, I think that "Nikkei Cooking" has a different market from the target of these cooking magazines.

(1)Single male or female, couple with a hard working duty

The concept of housewives and professionals is already close to completion of collapse.

(2)Dishes without cooking utensils at all

For example, new cooking method without using knives and frying pan,

However, in these fields, of course, they conflicts with "convenience store lunch" and "retort ingredients".

"Convenience box lunches" etc. are accompanied by the problem of "nutritional balance" without exception however, Unfortunately, "nutritional balance" will not lead to differentiation.

Many people (especially men) don't come to be serious about these problems.

It is not a broad concept such as "smart home appliances", but a technology specialized for cooking utensils, for example, a microwave oven which completes heating just in 2 seconds.

In addition, I think that "diet using engineering method" is something good.

I will cooperate when the plan of "Nikkei Cooking" comes out.

My writings are made in the train as much as saying "My study is in the train."

Of course, I have to use a note-PC, so if I cannot get the seat, I can do nothing.

So, I will choose a local train that I can sit down easily, not a crowded express train.

I feel that the time when writing is overwhelmingly felt for a short time (and sometimes I get over the destination).

-----

However, recently, I have felt bad for this writing work in a train.

Especially, the virus checker in my PC that keeps updating automatically every day, seems to deprive my note-PC performance, and it is annoying very much.

Recently note-PCs are getting cheaper, so there is no problem to purchase the latest machine, however, not only for circumstances of my households, but also "I can not throw away good things to work".

Even clothes and shoes become completely usable -- underwear or socks that have holes, shoes that water will enter on the rainy day until I can not tolerate that discomfort -- I continue to use them.

My wife seems to give up so much about me.

"I will never throw away my beloved wife, even if she becomes bedridden"

My wife says "extreme polemics", against my opinions.

Junior Daughter(JD):"Is it possible to make human clone ?"

Ebata:"Absolutely possible"

JD:"So, why does someone doesn't try to make it?"

Ebata:"Because, it is against the law at the present moment"

JD:"Even if so, is it possible to try itself?"

Ebata:"I agree with you. Conversely I think that it is hard to think "not to put it into operation"

JD:"Um... is it safe ?"

Ebata:"Clone beef" is not genetically modified. It is perfect gene copy.If the source beef is safe, the clone beef is also safe."

I have argued that the mechanism of nuclear power-generating plants of both heavy water reactor and light water reactor lone before.

I think that we should give children to "clone" information, too.

Some people are afraid that the fact of "self-production possibility" is going to destroy something in children mind.

Leaving the logic aside, I can understand the emotional hang-ups.

However, in contrast I think that we might get a new approach about moral, human rights and equality by a thought of "clone mechanism", for example "what a life is" and "Why life is important"

I told you before, people who do not like mathematics really dislike "mathematics". It seems be more intense than dislike of other subjects.

A common phrase is "Mathematics accepts only one answer".

The mathmatics worlds are only two "0%" and "100%" in the inflexible world ", so they dislike math.

So-called "science hatred", including physical and chemical dislike, is based on the above reasons.

Initially, it is clear that Japanese are not good at mathematics and science, from the ratio of "Science of Science" and "Faculty of Arts and Sciences" in Japan is 35:65 (Ebata's survey result)

It means, human beings are not compatible with mathematics perhaps.

-----

This philosophy of "0% / 100% is a misunderstanding to mathematics (or "mathematical education defects").

Mathematics is "practical" and useful as "recipe of cooking".

There are people who are "intellectuals" who do not know the circumstances at all.

They are "harmful" objects to our country to the extent possible.

Apart from the above,

There is one fundamental solution that solves "person who dislikes mathematics".

We can let the opportunity to meet "mathematics" be lost - In other words, it is only necessary to push the above-mentioned "intellectuals" claim to the ultimate.

Without "encounter", nobody can "dislike" or "like".

I understand that this is a nonsense polar theory, however, I also think that it is a kind of truth.

(Continuation from yesterday)

Well, I know about computer programming has been included in compulsory education curriculum.

However, I am worried to death, that

In this curriculum, many children will decide

"I will never do programming for my life"

"Programming" is never allowed to exist ambiguity in their own.

We should understand the target for programming perfectly. when there is an ambiguity in the target, we should describe it even if it might be far-fetched hypothesis.

It is different from "misunderstood" mathematics, and it is really unfeeling and cruel world, where is except for 0 or 100.

-----

Of course, I can understand that programming is a good method to develop a logical thinking.

However, programming is not coming into existence with an ambiguous attitude like "desirably logical response"

Programming needs,

- perfect logical thinking,

- diseased wariness

- repeating the huge number of tests that are absolutely impossible.

If there is no such consideration, the program is going "not to move at all" or "to output an insignificant answer".

For example, it is said that "only 3 lines" among hundreds of thousands of lines of program code, caused the major accident that was a breakdown around one third of of the U.S region.

Many people may not believe it, however, this is "normal" in our programmer's world.

If the contents of programming education for compulsory education

will skip the diseased wariness and the repeating the huge number of tests that are absolutely impossible, conveniently

and

I can already see the "big failure" of programming education in the compulsory education process at this stage, even if not seen by others.

-----

Talking away, I want to talk about computer-aided education, not programming education.

コンピュータ支援教育とは、コンピュータを用いて行う教育のことで、CAI(computer-assisted instruction)と呼ばれています。

It is called, CAI(computer-assisted instruction),which is education by computer.

I think "e-learning" is also one of CAI, however, I think that it is slightly different from CAI, because it is just likely to be reviewing PowerPoint.

CAI is to actually educate computers as a teacher's agent, talking with students.

CAI appears every few years, as it we remembered,

As far as I can know - there is no success case.

Especially for use in compulsory education, I have not seen a report on the success report.

(If there are success stories, it is a huge spreading long ago. In addition recently, the personal computer is also inexpensive, and you can get it for free if you are second hand).

Even when the second daughter wanted painting practice software for a game machine (such as Nintend DS etc), only I opposed the purchase.

And after that, I have never seen the second daughter using that software.

In general, it seems that both computer and human beings are not compatible about CAI (education for children in particular).

(Continuation from yesterday)

Well, let me return to the board.

This time, I examined the guidelines for programming education of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, however, I am afraid that a lot of things that support my concern have been found.

In other words, it is a method of disgusting parts of programming thoroughly and taking out only the convenient part only.

I will judge it is absolutely "Failure is fixed", if

- Something having a GUI such that "cute character" "talking to a children"

とか、

or

- Programming that can be done simply by connecting rectangles and arrows,

appears.

(Continuation from yesterday)

"Programming" can not be "fun". The words of "penance" or "guilt" is better than it.

Programming is a concrete mean of trying "dialogue with a machine (computer)" for the first time in human history,

Moreover, we have to speak by new types of languages (programming languages) that human beings have never used before.

Besides, the programming language does not allow grammar error at all. It is too hard to compare with English grammar, (Even in English, conversation is established with only word sequence)

Historically, humans have tried communicating either "love" or "violence", however neither of these can be applied to computers. So, someone gets angry with computer, and throws a computer out of the window.

For both human beings and computers, "programming languages" are only tools to mutually understand at the last minute, and

While both sides feel pain (or inefficiency), nevertheless, mutual cooperation between the two sides is indispensable, and "it really can not be helped", "programming" should be worked.

(Continuation from yesterday)

However, one contradiction happens.

"Why does Ebata try to make a program that nobody will use whenever he release a new column?"

"I enjoy programming at any time" is not true.

- When I make a certain hypothesis,

- Even though I can not "validate" that hypothesis in the real world,

- I can make a simulation in the virtual world

- To convince yourself,

There is no means other than programming.

If I can "hit the calculator about 1 million times per second" or ""track hundred million virtual agents at the same time", I have no reason to do it.

Thus. the reason why the engineers who are troubled continue to program with suffering is that there is a reasonable "reason".

-----

(1) For "fun programming", they I could not approach 1 mm to the essence of programming, on the contrary, conversely there is a possibility of mass-producing children who do not understand the fear of programming.

(2) however, "painful programming" will also produce "programming dislikes" like "mathematics dislikes".

And above all, I am not "opposed" to the programming education that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is conducting.

(Continuation from yesterday)

To nurture a child with a programming skill, not for Japan, but for children themselves, I think that it is a technology of "good job for food".

Anyway, I think that programming does not require special tools (at least PC), and it is an efficient work because of small initial investment.

-----

I have one proposal.

I am afraid that the framework of "programming education" will be on the same path as CAI at this stage.

So, why do not we focus on "spreadsheet education"?

Spreadsheet is, in short, spreadsheet software such as "Excel".

You can use "Libre Office" in Linux distributions, and "Google spreadsheet" for free.

And, for the first time using a spreadsheet, any child should be surprised.

They can see that numerical values including the process, appears on the display and the values can be graphed in a moment.

And, just by changing the number in the column, the values of all the columns are also going to be changed at once, and the shape of the graph is also going to be moved instantly.

This tool is much more entertaining than the "programming development environment", which pretty characters appears and the child gets tired of in less than three minutes.

Above all, the spreadsheet has the biggest advantage in that "programming is unnecessary".

In any case, it is enough to simply put a calculation formula in the column and repeat copy and paste as necessary.

-----

Of course, I do not think Excel is sufficient for calculations that I need (for 100 million people or 100 years) however, I think there are no subject that Excel can not handle for everyday calculations,

(Above all, I tried simple logical calculation of global warming with Excel)

Especially, I think that Excel will show its power in fields of mathematics and physics.

The result of differentiation and integration can be tried even with real numbers, and the accuracy of the outgoing solution also changes with one parameter difference, are going to tell children about the risk of calculating by a computer.

(Continuation from yesterday)

However, I think that education using this spreadsheet is still inadequate.

First of all, they should not come up with the power to "go to the PC."

I do not even think of it that, nobody can make children who think a PC is SNS and game terminals open the unfriendly spreadsheet.

Before starting learning, it becomes an decisive unfairness whether there are experienced PC users around themselves(e.g. parents or teachers)

In order to avoid these problems, we will give the children "intense motivation" for trying to use the spreadsheet like Excel.

If they can make full use of "Excel", I believe that we make no never mind of programming.

Because, most of the calculations in the world are going to be finished.

On the other hand, there are another purpose of programming, for example, "communication", "database access" and "Web I/F" and so on,

however, Excel can has their function with MACRO scripts.

If they come to use the MACRO scripts, it is easier for them to change Excel with programming.

When they start to feel "Excel is too poor to solve the problem",

we will give them a lot of know-hows of serious programming as "pragmatic learning".

It is me, a computer engineer.

The purpose of abacus school is to make a electric calculator in their brain

My daughters, at the time, could do multiplication of triple digits in their head (however, they can not do it now)

Even if the enormous homework books of number work in summer vacation, they were be no match for my daughters.

For the junior daughter, I remember that she was introduced as a junior abacus master by a paper with her picture, and I also used her as a useful calculator with interactive mode function, indeed.

Anyway, I think that my first purpose of that

-----

I am going to make a wrap-up of this thread.

"Numbers", "Math" and "Programming" are basically independence.

However I think that if these three things are packed, they become effective synergy in the education process, adversely.

What we should do is just to provide the concrete example with children.

For example,

If they use "ACOM" or "PROMIS" easily, what type of "debt hell" is coming to them.

If they try a gamble simulation like pachinko or horse race, they can understand the absolute principle is going to be "Not doing any type of gamble".

If they calculate the time of radioactive wastes become safe, they will know that it is not enough that ten times of the period from mammoth's life to the present.

If they calculate the possibility of meeting an ideal girlfriend / boyfriend (meeting a person of destiny), they will know that it is doubtful whether the "one time" can be expected, even if we repeat our life more than 1000 times,

If they calculate the probability of hitting the lottery, they will know that it is the same probability to grasp "a product B of a specific A company maker" in one shot, while blindfolded and walking in a supermarket for the first time,

Instead of sermons from superiors,

Expanding them to calculation form yourself,

As a means of "looking down the real world calmly"

Finally, I compile my recommendations.

(1) I support programming education in the compulsory education process.

(2) However, programming education starts from subjects based on a spreadsheet.

(3) The educational site will guide the children to demonstrate intense motivation to use the spreadsheet.

(4) After that, children who feel insufficient in spreadsheets will be able to receive programming education using programming languages.

(5) We strongly encourage employment of Tomoichi Ebata as a teacher at the site of formulation, planning, and programming education of (1) to (4) above.

That's all.
