EBATA Tomoichi <ebata@sdl.hitachi.co.jp>

At the first work day of the New Year, I found a dead raccoon on the way to the station.

It was a perfect adult raccoon, and the student who went to school also watched the dead raccoon with suspicious frown.

I estimated the cause of dead seemed to be a shock disease by car confliction, because I could not see any blood and external injury.

-----

I wanted to bring to the dead raccoon body to my house,

not to dedicate him or her.

I thought it must be delicious to cook the raccoon.

It should be in good preservation in the coldest morning in this winter.

If the dead body leaves on the road, I was going to bring it to house.

-----

The problem is when, where, and how to cut the body.

It might be good to do it after my whole family go to bed.

I want to make raccoon soup as soon as possible.

"A raccoon soup at midnight". It is absolutely a kind of male roman.

As long as I have investigated, there seems two opinions "delicious" and "awful" simultaneously.

So, I have to try it, because I am a research engineer.

-----

But it will be awful if my family find that I am cutting the raccoon dead body.

At Midnight, with desperate bloody expression, their husband or father is cutting brutal dead body.

I can bet they give a scream and fall unconscious.

This New Year holiday, I tried to make a controller program for DI/DO control with cooking for my father at my parent's house.

I used a middleware API that a product maker has provided, but I could not make the program start up well, I have been annoying in front of my PC.

"I should give up it now."

I make the thorough report that I wrote all my trials about the program, and sent it to the maker. After that, I suspended the PC.

I thought

"The calling will come at the first day of work after New Year's"

But a mail came to me from a salesperson of the maker on the day.

=======================

Thank you for your help.

I am John Smith, the salesperson of my company.

According to today’s your mail, we are very sorry, but our first work day is going to at the fifty.

Unfortunately, I am going to contact you at the day. Please wait for a while.

We are terribly sorry for your inconvenience.

Best regards,

John Smith, the salesperson of the company.

=======================

For just this short mail, the favorable impression of this company became growing exponentially.

Even it was the period of the New Year's holiday, giving me the mail made me happy.

But I was afraid that this typical Japanese service will make companies, so called "black", as a remote cause.

(Continuation from yesterday)

As soon as I get on the train, I open my note PC and start to write the diary of the day( for this blog).

Almost every second day, I buy an expensive beer (e.g.craft beer series of Suntry Co.).

After working, I write a column enjoying drinking a beer in the train running in the darkness.

For me, it is true that "If a friend doesn't come from far, my life is happy as-is".

-----

Coming to the office early morning, leaving the office at regular time.

I believe that these activities are very significant.

I think that the multidimensional life activities is one of the effective methods for good life.

Resource distribution for both private and public is very important, and the above methods are one good way, I think.

I hope you have it in the back of your head that on the other hand, a certain person who are trying to make his life rich by the opposite method has existed.

Whenever I watch a entertainer in s TV variety show who has said "I always lend a hand around the house" boastfully

I feel badly

"This pitiful person cannot understand what he/she is saying "

"Household affairs" is an affairs of household in the literature, so, the subject is always "I".

Therefore, "Household affairs" is "doing it by myseld" not "lending a hand"

-----

I don't think "cooking", "washing", "cleaning" and "child care" are special skills, even they are skills.

Therefore, the phrase of "I cannot do housework" is not acceptable for me, if you can use PC or smart-phone, except for the persons with impaired mobility by an accident or aging.

So I think the person who who has said "I always lend a hand around the house" is just to push housework on the others and to try another way".

After using a personal computer when I was a sophomore in college,

I was enforced to change many OS, MS-DOS, Windows3.1 Windows95,WindowsNT, Windows2000 WindowsXP,Windows7 (omitting the UNIX system).

However, still, the change of the OS is like "moving".

I think that moving three times in life (about the time of enrollment, employment, marriage) is enough.

However, performances of PC has been promoting dynamically, (it is actually 4,700 trillion times by my calculation). So I also think that it is unavoidable to change the operating system frequently.

-----

Well, even if I move (change OS), the problem is that you have to "replace furniture".

In this case "furniture" is "application software".

Even though I have to use Microsoft's office series,

A lot of useful tools (Copipe tool, Image size change tool, Draw tool, many, etc.) can not be used at the moving destination with a high probability.

Many of these useful tools are released with good intentions of developers, and most are free (free) and distributed with unlimited (free) distribution.

I have told that I dislike television dramas, however this is not correct.

Though I dislike Japanese TV dramas, I have reserved three overseas TV dramas in the HDD recorder in my house.

I cannot explain the reason well by myself.

Even for the overseas TV dramas, they are translated into Japanese.

I cannot understand the story of original dramas in English.

About the category, they are detective stories, SF stories and action stories. No special speciality.

-----

Even if I dare to pick up the differences, I like the dramas,

- which deal with physics, chemistry, math and IT

- the hero/heroin works crisply and the story is rapidly and logically going on

somewhere about there.

Of course, I know that there are some Japanese dramas in the same category.

Well, I cannot explain the reason well by myself.

-----

However, about animations, I like Japanese works.

However, I dislike the animation that includes little-beauty, erotic scenes, magic and combat-humanoid.

The animations whose theme are "time travel", are welcome without condition.

On the other hand, I regard "Disney 3D animation" with abhorrence.

In addition, the costumes of hero/heroin look ugly, and "American sense of justice" is unpleasantness for me.

I like the hero/heroin who says "Where and what is a justice?"

Anyway I cannot explain the reason well either.

-----

You can say just one phrase "That is preference of Ebata"

I don't think I'm a non-discriminator.

Because there is a case which I realize that I am doing gender discrimination.

It is a barber.

I am careless about my hairstyle. So a barber is

"a place to cut off long and annoying hair"

I don't expect anything more than that.

So the recent barber shop called "1000 Yen Barber" is useful for me.

My expectations are very simple,

"I want my hair to be as short as possible and as short as possible."

However, many of the female barbers who work at the 1000-yen barber do not understand my needs.

She cuts weakly, takes a long time, pays too much attention to detail, and does not reach the hair length I expect.

No matter how "shorter" I ask, she does not cut it off boldly.

And the mood is getting worse.

So, when I am in a row of 1000 yen barber, I hope that "Please don't hit women."

-----

If you ask if this is the case in all cases,

"100%" for female barbers.

On the other hand, about 20% of male barbers are also frustrated.

After all, this is more a matter of probability than gender discrimination.

-----

I know.

This is my fault.

Many people in the world come to a barber shop for "coolness" or "cleanliness."

In particular, women come to the barber from the viewpoint of beauty.

(Because there is a phrase such as "Hair is a woman's soul").

In other words, "My needs (only time and hair are short) are special", so people like me should not use barber shops.

-----

Of course, I have tried hairdressing on my own, however, as a result, I just said to you,

"It was so bad that I couldn't get it back for 1,000 yen"

So now I am thinking about a patent application about

"Automatic barber that shorts hair just by sticking his head"

Today, the number of "new" cases of the new corona in Tokyo has reached 2,447.

Since yesterday, the number of newly infected people has increased by about 1,000 in one day.

It took us 300 days from April to the end of December to reach 1,000 people/day.

Today, in one day, we achieved the same increase in the number of people (*).

(*) Incidentally, this is not a valid comparison in the strict sense (statistical perspective).

-----

This kind of phenomenon is often seen in computer simulations (called "exponential growth").

Of course, it has been seen in the real world from time to time, but most often it has occurred in distant, impoverished small countries where we seldom look, and the infection has been contained through the efforts of someone else in the world.

To be frank, it's someone else's problem.

I don't believe .

"I'd experience an "infection explosion" in my own living space"

I was stunned by the sense of unreality.

-----

When this news came out, I sent the following message on the Ebata family's LINE.

====================

- The probability of household infection is proportional to the number of infected people (always).

- In our family, the risk is now 20 times higher than it was in July (*).

(*) A news report on July 4 states that "the number of newly infected people in Tokyo has 'risen' to 107.

- When talking with other family members, keep the conversation at a certain distance, do not shout, and keep it to about five minutes.

- The risk of long conversations can be considerably improved by partitioning the table.

====================

-----

Looking at the partition, which I decided to buy half seriously and half with a story.

From now on, instead of toilet paper and masks,

"there might be a "buyout" of household partitions"

I thought.

Tokyo is a city that is vulnerable to snow, especially in the South Tama area,

"Snowfall in South Tama area = Snowfall in Tokyo 23 wards X 10"

This is a solid rule of thumb.

To put it simply, "if there is 3cm of snow in the city center, the area around our house will get 30cm of snow.

So when I left my house, I had to go out through the snow, fully equipped with boots and cold weather gear, and as a result, I would be conspicuous at Shinjuku Station, which was the fate of residents in the Tama area.

-----

However, this reversal seems to have occurred with regard to yesterday afternoon's snowfall.

Yesterday's snowfall and today's icy roads have caused many traffic disasters in the 23 wards of Tokyo.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway has been congested for more than several hours, traffic accidents have been frequent, many pedestrians have fallen, and many people seem to have been injured.

All day today, the news programs have been reporting on the chaos in the city center.

In contrast, there is not much snow in the South Tama area, and although there is some snow damage and freezing, the situation is not as dire as in the city center.

This is a really rare case.

The Tama area is not well known not only among Tokyo residents but also throughout Japan.

The name "Tokyo Metropolitan Government" in poor taste makes the explanation cumbersome and uncomfortable.

Many people have never heard of the name of the nearest station, or even the name of the train line.

As a resident of the South Tama area, I, who have had a lot of bad experiences with snowfall,

watched the current video of 'the city center is in chaos' and said, "I am truly sorry for their loss" with sitting on a chair in the living room, a cup of coffee in hand,

In particular, I would like to express my sincere regret for the video clips of Shinjuku and Shibuya.

While the news reporter was reporting on the snow scene in the city center, saying "It's beautiful",

People in the city center don't know that we are out of breath with wading through deep snow to open up a trail.

I will not 'listen to the opinions of those who do not specify their name (x handle name) and source (email address, etc.).

Hence, all comment sections, both on the website and on YouTube, are turned off (no writing).

-----

Recently, however, I have been seeing something like this on the Wordpress admin (not user) screen, and it is beyond annoying.

I thought it must be some kind of spam, but I don't understand how this kind of screen comes up.

To begin with, my page does not have a comments section.

It made me sick to think, 'Somewhere, someone might have planted a back door'.

So I did a little digging and found this in the "Edit Post" screen.

I immediately unchecked the box.

It is a tricky business.

I was talking to my wife the other day, and it seems I have slightly different values than the rest of the world.

(1) I've never considered women taller or shorter than me.

As I have said before, my value criterion for first impressions in a relationship is "the face I like."

However, it seems this is not the same as the "beauty" recognized by most of the public.

(2)Accidental properties (e.g., houses that have had suicides or murders) are not a criterion for acceptance or rejection.

I do not deny the existence of so-called spirits or ghosts. Instead, I am one who 'wants them to exist.

I want to confirm them with my senses, and if possible, I would like to be allowed to observe the "place." Quite seriously.

From the point of view of the law of conservation of energy, I think it would be pretty difficult for things without mass to interfere with our daily lives because their impact on the real world would be minimal.

To begin with, there are plenty of "things that exist even if you can't see them" in the world. These include gravitational fields, electromagnetic fields, etc.

I am more afraid of quantum mechanics than I am of spirits and ghosts (really).

On the other hand, I hear that accidental properties can be rented at a discount, which is gospel to me.

(3) Lack of interest in interior and exterior design

I am a thorough functionalist, so I am not interested in beauty, ugliness, or design.

I don't feel a millimeter of value in a luxury car that runs quietly, fast, and smartly.

I prefer older, broken-down cars where I can hear unusual noises and feel abnormal vibrations from where the engine is installed.

This is because I can experience the structure of an automobile.

However, I know that "function" loses out to "design" in the marketplace.

I remembered it, so I wrote them down.
