Many people would agree that "JIN" is one of Japan's greatest TV dramas.

The basic concept that runs through this series can be summed up in this phrase.

"God only gives us trials that we can overcome"

It is no exaggeration to say that this is a moving drama that shows the insatiable potential of human technology and depicts the potential of human beings and human love.

-----

Based on the background, with reasonable potential and commitment to technology, a trivial human being, almost nothing love, I, Ebata, would like to say a few words.

NOT "God only gives us trials that we can overcome"

BUT "If you're God, don't give me a trial"

I've had a lukewarm life, I had no ambitions and I just want to live my life easily.

"JIN" should just be a "person of admiration" for me.

With the lifting of the state of emergency, customers seem to be returning to the downtown area at night, too

However, along with this, there are signs that the number of people infected with the new coronavirus is increasing.

-----

I am not a "representative of male public opinion" separately.

"Do men really want to play in the downtown at night?"

My family questions me, however I want to tell them not to ask me.

I do not qualify as a "representative of the male public opinion" on this subject.

I've read the book "Sun Tzu's Art of War" several times in several translations and commentaries.

"I mean, I haven't read the original text."

My motto is that I'm willing to make the effort to cut corners.

Aside from that.

Sun Tzu's Art of War is a book with a lot to learn, but I've never thought of applying it to my work or my life.

Why?

Because this book, thoroughly "management perspective".

The book treats our underlings as "tools" all the way through, and even the love they show for that "tool" is one of your winning strategies. I am uncomfortable with the ideas.

In particular, the phrase "put the soldiers in a corner and let them use their strength to the best of his ability" pisses me off.

-----

When I see a blog or something like that, quoting "Sun Tzu's Art of War" and discussing new corona countermeasures, I laugh -- it's a huge laugh.

"If you know your enemies and allies well, you'll have little to worry about breaking into any battle"

He quotes this phrase and talks about how the people and the government should be, arrogantly.

I think that "he is really happy".

(Continuation from yesterday)

In Sun Tzu's Art of War, "knowing the enemy" means...

Learn about viruses, identify their general properties, and understand the properties specific to COVID-19.

Understand the mechanism of infection and tackle the mathematical theories of experts

Examine the process of making a vaccine

Of course, each person has his or her own background, but I don't think the above efforts, whatever their background, will prevent them from "knowing their enemy".

I am an amateur in infectious diseases, pharmacy, and many other things, but I am studying hard as an amateur.

And even if it's my own understanding, I'm going to disclose it to others and hopefully that will help someone else if they're lucky enough to do so.

At least, I think I'm more serious about practicing "Sun Tzu's Art of War" than the writer of this blog.

-----

If he/she have time to criticize the people and the government, looking from the top.

The essence of "Sun Tzu's teachings are that even if they're not good at it, even if they're out of your field, they study this disaster head-on, even for a millimeter or a second, and strive to help others, aren't it?

I think that.

Well, if they're saying, "the experts should be in charge of the technicalities" or "the politicians should be in charge of the politics", well, it's not up to me to say.

But I'm not going to participate in that.

There is a partition between the living room and the kitchen in our house.

The large window in the wall is designed to pass food through, so it is difficult to have a conversation between the living room and the kitchen.

The distance from the TV at the back of the living room to the kitchen sink is about 5 meters, so when I'm cooking in the kitchen or washing up, I can see the TV, but not hear the audio.

In the kitchen, in order to hear the sound of the TV, I have to be in a maximum volume situation, but of course, this is too loud in the living room and can be a nuisance to the neighbors.

So, we use an FM transmitter to broadcast the TV sound to the FM radio.

-----

In our house, we have been using the very affordable FM transmitter TR-10RDX for more than 10 years.

In the meantime, several FM radios kept breaking down.

It was not a good idea to operate the radio with wet hands in a watering hole like a sink.

I recently purchased "Bountiful Harvest Radio" as my fourth generation radio.

It is "hard to break" and "No stereo sound source is required. The monaural sound source is enough".

Although I can't use AC power and have to use batteries, I can move the radio easily anywhere (such as on the table in the living room) and it has become convenient.

Even with batteries, it seems to last a light six months or more.

-----

I don't like, or rather "hate", sitting on the couch and watching TV.

Because it feels like I waste my resources.

For me, I enjoy watching N-Spe (NHK special) the most while cooking and washing dishes.

Thus, I was enjoying comfortable cooking and washing work while watching TV with "TR-10RDX" and "Harvest Radio".

-----

However, the other day, my wife told me that she couldn't hear any sound from the radio.

I stopped all the work and started to take immediate measures.

For me, the "no TV sound from the radio" was as important an incident as the "Internet" or "Ebata family LAN" communication failure.

(Continuation from yesterday)

However, I could not find the cause of the failure in any way.

"I was able to confirm that the TR-10RDX was transmitting an FM carrier wave, but the audio was not riding the wave.

So I changed cables, sound sources, and various experiments, but I couldn't identify the cause of the problem.

I decided to dispose of the "TR-10RDX" and began to look into purchasing a replacement machine.

However, the TR-10RDX has already been discontinued. The "TR-10RDX" was exchanged at Yahoo! Auctions for a higher price than the list price.

Domestically, I couldn't find a similar product, and I also tried my hand at mail order in China, but I was hesitant when I saw the "one month delivery time" sign.

_ -----

To begin with, our house has a wireless WiFi signal in every corner of the house.

The fact that I can't use this is also very uncomfortable.

I wondered if it was possible to make an audio transmission device that uses a smartphone as a receiver, and I thought about designing a Raspi.

However, when I thought about the cost of designing a Raspi and developing an app for my phone, I couldn't do it because it was ridiculous.

Besides, I rejected this idea because it seemed certain that there would be a time lag between the image display and the audio.

-----

I thought I should give up FM transmission and wire the signal cable directly under the floor (I have done it before).

At that time, I found the second "TR-10RDX" that had been set up in my room.

I thought "Okay, I solved the problem", and I installed the second machine. However I confirmed that the exact same problem of the first machine occurred.

"The probability of two identical devices failing with exactly the same symptoms is so small in the real world as to be considered zero"

This is the usual way of systems studies.

After thoroughly inspecting the area around the device, it was discovered that there was a problem with the signal cable connections.

(However, I have also done follow-up testing with three signal cables, and to be honest, I can't explain this phenomenon, but I decided to forget about it.)

Anyway, I was be able to get it back in working order before.

This saved me from discarding the "TR-10RDX", which has a premium value.

-----

Speaking of which, during this process, I asked my wife how much she could budget to rebuild this system.

She said one word, "I'll leave it up to you" and she threw it to me.

Well, I'm a cheapskate, and I'm the type of person who delights in making my own products cheaply.

It's all DIY, from the installation of the LAN to the cupboards, bookcases and bike garage.

-----

Anyway, my wife's attitude of 'not speaking out about anything she cannot understand' is refreshing and beautiful.

When you're angry at they guy who cannot make anything, but feels like they are doing their job by meddling in my creations, even more so, I confirms my deep respect for my wife.

Yesterday, I received a package(box) from Amazon.

In the box, there are a new comic book I've been waiting a long time, and an audio cable.

Without hesitation, I began laying down the audio cables, and I think

Maybe there's something broken in me.

During a family dinner, we was watching a show on Amazon Prime and the term "Buraku discrimination" came up in a show.

I asked two daughters "You know this issue don't you?" and the senior daughter said "Yes" and the junior daughter said "No".

The way this issue is addressed depends in part on school policies and the attitudes of teachers in the field.

In my case, it was "No" too.

But in my case, when I was in the dormitory in college, I had the rare opportunity to hear from a person who was continuing to campaign for discrimination.

There was some education at the company using actual incidents that took place within the company (I don't know what's going on now).

This issue is also linked to the Privacy Act.

-----

"She can choose to remain ignorant"

So I thought and asked her

"If you want to hear it, I can wrap it up in 10 minutes or so. Which one do you want?"

My second daughter wanted to, so I started the story from the history.

As I began to speak, my wife switched off the TV.

With the lifting of the state of emergency declaration, school classes are back in session.

The instructors and teachers in the classroom seem to be wearing face masks, made of clear acrylic plates.

I heard that students who has watched

"A splattering of spit on the teacher's facemask"

are experiencing the horror of droplet infection.

-----

"This is a really fieldwork class in't is?"

And I am deeply impressed.

After the state of emergency was lifted, I know that the morning rush in Tokyo has begun again, according to news reports.

I'm more than a little shocked.

I had assumed that a significant portion of the workforce would shift to telework.

I thought that at least "staggered work hours would be the norm", but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case.

-----

I was wondering how widespread the state of telework was prior to the outbreak of this disaster.

"I got a hit in a column I had written."

At that time, I was estimating "13% of the workforce".

In particular, this graph shows that the only work that can seriously adopt telework is the "service field".

Watching NHK news, we get the illusion that telework is being introduced everywhere.

In fact, I guess the news about those things are just rare cases.

Two months of declaring a state of emergency may not have been enough time to create communications literacy for all of the Japanese workers.

-----

However, my daughters are taking classes, conducting job interviews, and talking to their friends in a light-hearted way at "home".

So changes in the way people work through telework, triggered by the corona disaster, may emerge in the next 10 to 20 years.

If that is the case, then we may have to evaluate the "morning rush" in 10 years' time, not "now".

I'm having trouble with "the Book,

In addition, I have a habit of littering books, and sometimes I don't even know if the books really exist in the house.

As a result, I may end up buying the same book over and over again.

However, the only difference is that this is an e-book.

Up until now, I've always insisted that paper books are the only thing of value, so my daughter has scorned me for saying, 'Dad, it's so easy to change your opinion.

But I don't care because I believe that my value is in this "sobriety apostasy" or "light-hearted turnaround".

It's a rule of thumb in my life, that "Gone from the guy who has a policy of "stubbornness""

-----

This time I purchased "Japan Sinks" by the late Mr.Sakyo Komatsu.

I really wanted to reread a scene in this novel, and I bought it as an e-book -- and I'm really glad I did.

This is because the search function of the e-reader alone allows me to jump to the scene at once.

By the way, when I reread, I usually only repeat certain scenes that I like.

In "Japan Sinks", the scene of

"Right after the massive earthquake, air traffic controllers did not give a stop order to a passenger plane, and let it take off and go into the air"

is the best.

This part of the book makes me cry, no matter how many times I read it.

I read the book again, and I kept being overwhelmed by the tremendous amount of simulations.

I was appalled.

At my age, when I re-read this book, I am struck by the people who are fighting to rescue the Japanese.

The struggles of politicians and academics, in particular, almost bring me to tears.

In this corona disaster, these people continue to fight in a way that we can't see.

And I thought that we who don't even know it must be throwing out fawning, mindless comments from a safe distance.

I wonder how much of that money was spent on "greed for money to play"?

I think it.

This will depend on what they "play" with.

However, people who appear with the phrase "greed for money to play" are usually tied to theft, robbery and other crimes.

I have not able to hear the following phrases.

I am "salaryman" for a greed for money to play.

I am a management of the company for a greed for money to play.

The "greed for money to play" seems to be much lower than the amount of money for theft and robbery.

It's cheaper than most technical books and, sometimes cheaper than a beef bowl at Yoshinoya.

-----

I'd rather have "new eyes" than such things.

That sight "eye", that are, with the naked eye, I could solder an electronic kit, and I've been a steadfast "2.0" for 40 years of my life.

If a new coronavirus drug/vaccine is developed, will the world go completely back to the time before the new coronavirus disaster?

I've been thinking about that lately.

Of course, I sincerely hope that a special medicine/vaccine is developed.

The quality of television variety shows these days has improved even performers make a remote appearnace.

Such a system was proposed more than 20 years ago, however, during this corona disaster, the TV companies built their systems in just two months.

What's very interesting is that the quality is improving day by day from the initially poorly displayed images.

これは、

This means,

"continuing to refurbish the system with actual broadcasts."

In that industry, keeping old-fashioned system with senior engineers, they have not tried to install any new systems, however, now, The "online system overhaul" is going around. This is pretty amazing.

If this goes ahead, the very existence of a "TV studio" may become unnecessary.

And I think a sub-system of the "TV studio" system will be installed in the performer's home.

I have a feeling that the "single-person recording system for the home (microphone, camera, tripod, blue sheet, white board, soundproof panel, etc.)" is going to be a big seller.

-----

Considering the need to control the subtle "pauses" in conversations on variety shows, Internet broadcasts may leave you uneasy.

Particularly in a non-guaranteed quality network such as the Internet, "transmission fluctuation" is a common and unpredictable occurrence.

So,

"A renewed focus on quality assurance type inter-organizational networks"

-----

... Yeah, well, "no".

The world will get used to an audio delay of 1ms or so,

With that level of delay, it would be far less expensive to softly correct for video and audio synchronization.

-----

If the coronal disaster was an inevitable fate, another 20 years ago...

Oh, no, not even that.

The term "drug addiction" is used, but I suppose I could be called a "cslsin(*) addiction" for now.

(*)It is a kind of tranquilizer, and you can get a prescription for 20 tablets for about 700 yen.

However, I don't know if I can call it an "addiction" because I only take it every couple of days or so when I wake up early in the morning.

Incidentally, according to the FHLB's definition, addiction is described as "a state of mind that is so fascinated by something in particular that even if you want to stop, you can't.

I "feel safer" when I have cslsin under my pillow.

However, I don't think it's quite as "mind-blowing" as it sounds.

-----

One thing is for sure, people with addictions commonly say

"I'm not an addict"

Sometimes I have to write a sentence in English, however I have trouble converting infrequently used Japanese into English.

"Koudou Henyou","Sontaku" "Nemawashi" I think it would be great if someone could translate these Japanese words into English in one shot.

In my case, this is how it translates (I'll use "Nemawashi" as an example)

(Step 1) First, look up several English words on a translation site.

例えば、"digging round root", "behind‐the‐scenes negotiations","lay the groundwork" が出てきます。

For example, "digging round root", "behind‐the‐scenes negotiations","lay the groundwork".

(Step.2) Check the number of hits on Google search by phrase.

In this case, there were 82 cases, 253,000 cases, and 9,340,000 cases, resulting in "lay the The "groundwork" will be the winner.

This is the so-called "Google Ruling".

"behavior change", "behavior modification" came up.

("behavior therapy" also comes up, but even I can dismiss this one.)

In this case, the number of hits could be the same digit, 7,480,000, 4,480,000. I'm honestly baffled when these happens

In those cases, I have to read through all the papers and reports where the terms are used, and it's very cumbersome.

Well, "Google Ruling is not a panacea either".

Anyway, I don't get upset when a native speaker tells me that my chosen term is odd to use that way.

I would argue to the contrary.

"Don't get cocky, you who are a native speaker of a language spoken by about 10% of the world's population"

2020-06-18 Let me see... It's "Scent of a woman" (セント・オブ・ウーマン(邦名「夢の香り」) [長年日記]

I think I've written about this somewhere before, but I couldn't find it in my homepage, so I'm going to state this again, at the risk of spoiling the story.

I was assigned to Fort Collins, Colorado, as an engineer for two years, starting in 2000.

(ESL:English as a Second Language)も受講していました。

Every week, I had taken classes in English as a Second Language (ESL) at Colorado State University.

I had the opportunity to give a speech to that class, that was "Tell us about the movie you enjoyed the most".

The men in my class were saying things like "Star Wars" and "Back to the Future", and in my turn, when I said

Let me see... It's "Scent of a woman"

All the women in the class looked up in unison and looked at me.

"That was a great movie!" The class suddenly got very noisy with their voices and I also felt the respectful look in his eyes for me.

The men had a look on their faces like they didn't know what was going on.

I happened to see this movie in a movie theater without thought when I was on a date with my wife. (Not a great reputation before).

In hindsight, I feel like this movie was an important landmark in my marriage to my wife, and it's still a memory that we both will never forget.

So, as the next movie of "Schindler's List, we decided to watch this movie on Amazon Prime.

"This is the only movie that will never be dubbed in Japanese" I insisted, and I decided on my own to watch the subtitled version.

-----

After watching...

I've been impressed with the movie for a while now, and my senior daughter, on her first visit, said and said, "Cool~! in the living room.

At a great rate, she was putting "alpacino" in the search key on my phone and looking them up.

I won't go into the content here, but I can assure you that you'll be at the mercy of three major waves of emotion in "Tango," "Ferrari," and "Speech,

And the emotions I didn't feel before I was married. I was old enough to realize the deep despair of Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade.

-----

I wonder why they don't broadcast such a masterpiece on terrestrial television, but you'll understand the reason soon.

It's not possible to broadcast on terrestrial television.

It wasn't a problem in 1992, but it can't be done now in 2020.

It's the right thing to do, however. still, it would be a real "waste" to miss out on such a masterpiece just because "right".

Recently, I deployed misinformation about the new Coronavirus Contact Confirmation App (COCOA) and (I clarified the error in the original article).

Here's what I've found out after (which I believe to be correct)

(1) The source code seems to be here.

(2) Licensed under the Mozilla Public License Version 2.0

(3) Is it developed in C#?

I was quite surprised to see that they are developing a smartphone app in the "C" language system. Of course, for me, C is a welcome addition.

The server system... is notreally. COCOA is a native smartphone app, to begin with.

(4) It's unlikely to register as a malicious (prank) infected person.

If you don't put in the ID number given by the health department, you will not be registered as an infected person.

Even if you put in a bullshit number, it will say "registered", but it won't actually register.

(5) After 14 days, the information on the infected person's registration will disappear.

After 14 days, you will no longer be treated as an infected person. It is a reality.

(6) Infection information is not tied to the solid number of the device (smartphone).

The app hack will not be able to identify the infected people.

I might be able to hack the Public Address (like Ethernet MAC address), however, I think that it's impossible to find a model and get to a personal identification.

How impossible can it be? It requires a lot of annoying works, like, asking each person on your side of the line, and saying "Excuse me, can I borrow your phone?" and work on the analysis with the radio analyzer.

Even if you were to force it, I don't think it would be possible to read a fixed Public Address, because it would normally use the Random Address that your phone automatically generates.

It's not "full security," but "no worth to hack it"

(Continuation from yesterday)

If I am worried about COCOA's security and the release of your personal information, I came up with the idea that I might as well go to Contributor.

Well, even if I can't do source code development, it might be useful, at least for testers.

However, it's already released, and unless it's an upgrade in the future, there may not be a situation where I'm going to be stuck with it.

I haven't read the source code properly yet, but I am tired of checking for "personal information being pulled out" or "government surveillance" just because it's published as open source.

This is similar to a peace of mind of "just getting a copy of someone's notes before a test".

To begin with, I can believe (not in theory) that open source developers are believable.

And, as far as the heads of government are concerned, that hopeless IT literacy, I have a tremendous amount of trust in the government that

"The current government lacks the intelligence and nerve to pull off an IT conspiracy"

According to the election fraud case of a former minister, their handling of IT information (destruction of evidence) is terrible.

"The district attorney's office can have evidence recovered from your computer"、If I were him, I would be so embarrassed with crying.

-----

Installing COCOA is a personal choice, but I would recommend that you install it.

Particularly for those in the hospitality industry, I believe that the ability to visualize the risk of infection will increase motivation to devise new ways of working.

Also, people who use trains and buses to commute to work or school can be afraid of riding at rush hour. This may lead you to consider staggered work, telecommuting, or even biking or biking to work.

In addition, the use of many people over a long period of time may make it clear that "this is bad" or "this is not bad".

The best part is that it's not as cumbersome as PCR or antibody testing (just install it).

If I get a positive reaction from me, I will register it immediately.

Of course, there is also the perspective of "civic duty and contribution".

In addition, there is a feeling of "duty and interest as an engineer".

During the two weeks I'm locked in my room, I will continue to hack the communication messages coming out of my phone.

My family takes what they want out of it and eats it. Due to the nature of preserved foods, they are retort foods.

Speaking of retorts, curry and rice would be the best.

When I make a curry from a curry roux, it's a very hot curry that no other family member can eat except me.

However, for me, the retort curry is not "spicy" at all.

-----

And, well, I have my own take on retort curry.

In a frying pan, lightly fry the chilies and chopped garlic, then add about 100g of Cut the chicken and eggplant into bite-sized pieces and throw them in.

After the chicken is cooked, pour the retort curry on it and mix it with the ingredients, cut the spinach into strips by hand and fry it until it becomes soft, and finally, throw in the Bavarone sauce.

Well, still, it's never out of the range of retort curry -- it's pretty good.

If you work at home and are in a lunch rut, give it a try.

Recently, there have been a number of articles and comments criticizing those who have advocated and implemented a specific response to the new virus.

In response to these articles and comments,

A person who ran away from a burning house, says "difficulty with firefighting procedures" during a subsequent site inspection. I feel that it's tremendously vulgar.

"Shooting someone who has fought back from a safe distance, after everything is done"

This is exactly it.

-----

Well, in my experiments, I was once forced out in front of a burning house. And I've had the same experience of "I've managed to put out the fire, and after that I've had a difficult time with it".

I am determined to never forgive these "shoot me in the back" people for the rest of my life.

Of course, I'm a working man (and I was a theatergoer in my youth),so in daily life, "Fair face, foul heart" is a thoroughgoing practice.

-----

However, it's also true that even if these are "shots in the back" acts, you can't make things better if you stop all the criticism.

According to my columns, I think criticism of others makes up half of the content.

In other words, it is me who "shoots people in the back who have been fighting".

But I don't believe at all that "those who are criticizing others (me) must indulge in criticism from others".

(To be continued)

(Continuation from yesterday)

My basic stance is "If you get hit, hit back", "I will take on the enemies of Edo, not only in Nagasaki, but anywhere in the world", and "I will shoot him in the back after he shoots me in the back".

This lousy policy may seem to only lead to an "endless chain of retaliation," but it's actually quite a bit of "restraint on myself" as well.

(1) There must be more than a few people who think like me.

(2) If I criticize people in a way that causes resentment, I don't know where I am going to get retribution.

(3) Therefore, I should explore the circumstances and social conventions of the time and the mental picture of the other person, as much as I can. criticize people with the utmost care, logically and with evidence (numbers, etc.).

In other words, I can create motivation to be a good (and cunning) critic by using the "demon" in you well.

-----

I'm a pretty "lousy person", whenever I'm criticized I feel uncomfortable and immediately go into combat mode even if the criticism is right.

However, there is something to be gained by getting to the bottom of that "minimum".

I'm not going to force myself to be a good person -- To begin with, I can't make the effort like that.

I will continue to be a clever, logical, cool "lousy person" and continue to "shoot the guy in the back who shot me in the back some".

I talked about the "realistic sensations presence system" before -- but it was already in the works ("#Loud Cheer")

by not a professional engineer but an amateur.

However, this system is not a "realistic sensations presence system" in the proper sense of the word.

The system is not bidirectional or real time, but simply synchronizes and composes the cheering video.

Still, the cheering video will be displayed on an electronic billboard at the baseball stadium, which will be held in an unattended audience.

-----

The impact this system has had on me has been tremendous.

What shocked me was not the "technology" but the "inspiration".

I could only think of a two-way, real time, neatly closed system, and I could not come up with the idea of "delivering a one-way cheer" at all.

Of course, I could have created the same level of systems and content, but that's not a big deal.

I couldn't have noticed that both the desire of baseball fans to "deliver a one-sided cheer song", and the thought of the team receiving it with gratitude.

This is a fatal flaw for researchers who have to think about social systems.

-----

I don't think the company would have been able to develop this system on a business basis (because it wouldn't pay).

I also don't think I would have been an development contributor in weekend engineer mode (Because I'm not interested in professional baseball).

But for this case, I am completely defeated because I couldn't have the idea of a "gratuitous act".

At the weekend, I went to the public swimming pool with my wife after checking the website for opening times and hours.

However, I was told at the facility's office that they are closed on weekends.

Knowing it was useless, I complained, "we came to check the website" and then we were forced to go home.

In fact, I had already sent an email to City Hall protesting the change in the pool's hours of operation, as it hadn't been updated previously.

I was "dumb" for believing that "City Hall has already handled it.

-----

The city hall must be busy with measures to deal with the corona epidemic, and I can understand the difficult situation that they have not been able to update their website.

However, I think there is a problem with not taking advantage of the occasional "citizen's notice".

But I know the reason for this.

It would take me 3 minutes to update the home page (or one line of link that takes people to the anti-corona page).

As a matter of fact, City Hall employees have to go through a professional contractor to update their website.

To be exact,

(1) The staff does not have the authority to create the website due to a request for approval (or contractual issues).

(2) Staff do not have the skills to create a website.

Either or both.

-----

I'm terribly worried about it.

From now on, if a typhoon, flood, or earthquake occurs, disaster and evacuation information on the city hall's website will be the last line of defense for the citizens.

The latest information on the website needs to be updated on a minute-by-minute basis, by the field personnel at their discretion.

But will City Hall be able to respond properly to real-time website updates?

-----

Honestly, I wish the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) would include "creating html files (or text files)" and "uploading to the server" in the educational guidelines rather than "programming education".

I don't expect City Hall employees to improve their web site development skills in any way.

At the very least, I hope that they should be able to send out text-based information.

This is not the time to be cool.

I will not be able to even cry with the administration's poor disclosure literacy by a lack of information, disaster, death, etc.

-----

Well, I, I emailed the above complaint to city hall today and added, "please email me when you're done responding".

Now, how many days does it take to respond to this response? Or will they ignore me?

The results will be announced soon.

Last Sunday, I went with my wife and senior daughter to a city facility to vote before the deadline.

We decided to walk 30 minutes each way to get some exercise.

The location and time were correct, but the date was wrong.

Voting day was July 5, and pre-voting began on June 30.

I was wrong to decide "from 10 days ago" unilaterally, however, was it such a short time?

I feel uncomfortable with this time period because I have pre-voted every time.

-----

I searched a little.

There is a replacement of Article 39 in Article 48-2, Paragraph 6, Item 6 of the Public Offices Election Law, anyway,

Only the city hall must start from the day after the announcement, however, regarding other polling stations, it seems that it is up to municipal election committee that means, "the period decided by the municipal election committee".

I wondered if they shortened the period due to the corona disaster. As a result of further investigation, it seems that the administrative districts have different responses.

For example, Adachi Ward has decided to open all ten locations for the full period of time this time, whereas the previous time, only one location accepted applications for the full period of time (in order to reduce the risk of transmission of corona virus).

-----

Well, this event was for my family to walk for less than an hour.

I was frustrated, so I went to a supermarket on the way and bought some mackerel fillets and natto (fermented soybeans) that I didn't need. And then we went home.
