I attended a meeting. That's official language is English after a long interval, and I got a shock.

As for my hearing skill, I know that it has been beyond redemption. But, the speaking also has been broken perfectly, that someone told me that "it is very awful".

I was confident in myself to speak "sort of English" even if nobody could understand what I said at all. What I could do is to keep speaking the English endlessly.

What's the validation of my worth without using such disorganized English?

-----

For this the above reasons, I am going to start the Ebanglish (that means Ebata's English) rebirth project, as any port in a storm.

So, what I do is what you see.

Though I can't tell you clearly that when I finish this project, the main purpose is to regain my Ebanglish.

There is a subordinate purpose. I would like you to build self-confidence for you.

No problem. I have walked around the world with such ruined English.

-----

Evangelische(German), that is not "Ebanglish", has a mean of Protestant Christianity.

I have graduated from the university of Protestant School. It is just a coincidence.

Wife:"Objection! It is not enjoyable."

Ebata:"Argument. Have you had experimented delightful Kanji dictation?"

Wife:"The communication is the main purpose of studying English isn't it?"

Ebata:"Did you use the following Kanji "Banshuu","Kika", Sokyu" in your conversation?"

Ebata:""refrigerator","ladle","eraser", "stationery”, “athletic meet". If they could bring the words to mind immediately, and,

They could pick them up within one second at their graduation ceremony,

The paradigm of Japanese English conversation is going to change dynamically."

-----

Thanks to this program "learning only English words by heart", all of junior students might be going to act like RuuOshiba-san, and they should annoy us, around them.

"She is a beautiful flower in a high mountain for me. (She is an unattainable object for me)"

If I find a boy who speaks the above phase, I suppose to knock him over.

However this process is inevitable toward Japanese globalization, I think I put up with his foolish act.

There is a saying "God dwells in the details".

I heard that it came from a field of architecture design.

Above all, any architecture cannot ignore theory of structures.

The basic concept is that any architecture should include the theory, and amalgamate its detailed aspects, in order to make them valuably and beautifully.

This concept commons to any creations in any field. "System" is also same, I think.

According to the social system like electricity, water, gas, train, and transportation, especially, they are no longer a mere "saying".

If we cannot apply the "God" to the social systems, they are going to change "killing system" easily.

(I want to omit this story this time, because I often have already shown before.)

-----

"Diet dwells in the details".

The other day, I confirmed that I could lose weight of 12kg, through the first and second diet plans in the Ebata's for one year.

However, I was heavy by nature, and I could not have reached the first target yet (BMI=22.0).

But I think that it is a mistake to understand the "12kg" as just "12kg".

For one year, I have sticked to detail parts, that means that there were 120 objects by each 0.1kg unit.

Previously, I had written about a certain control LAN protocol.

From the President's Japanese subsidiary that handled the product, I was invited to technology meeting, and in additon, to the social gatherings.

When I was taking a sushi on small plates, with beer cup in other hand, I was called to one person, who were in charge of sales management of EtherCAT products in the company.

-----

"When I go to a customer in the business, I take hard copies of your columns"

"May I ask you "why" ?"

"Well, asking our customer to read the Ebata-san's colum is better than explaining the technical issue of mine. They can understand EtherCAT easiler, and moreover it cracks them up."

-----

The story was literally an eye-opener to me.

"Well, my column is usable like that"

"Column" becomes soon forgotten, after it is read.

So, I can feel happy whenever hearing the story like the above.

(Continuation from yesterday)

For one more topic, I think that one reason why my family members can keep conversation, in each individual task, is

"Wireless LAN access point(WiFi)"

In my house, I have installed the WiFi by myself, using existing fiber cable Internet.

So, all can use volumetric and fast network environment easily in my house.

This means that the Ebatas house is a "Hot Spot"

Our living room is a "Hot Spot" and "Community Area", so it not special but natural that we gather in the living room, and work individually.

At the bookshelf of a convenience store in my company, I can see a book whose title is

"The book when you think "I am sunk!""

I get on my nerves about whether this book "is left" or "continues to be ordered".

I also get on my nerves about the reason why the book is chosen.

-----

Anyway, if you leave this book on your desk in the office, and show the book title to your co-workers, this action will have something to make an appeal.

I don't know what a kind of effect will be coming.

For your original technology that was devised over a month, developed over a month, and used over a month,

"You should discard it in three seconds"

It is common in the professional engineer world to make this decision.

However, that decision is not the superiority of technology, but may be determined by business connection, financial power and power.

-----

When I was in my twenties, I had a hard time accepting these decisions.

It has never been once or twice that the nontechnical and unreasonable idea of a "technical amateur" got me excited.

Under such circumstances, I think that both myself and others have been hurt considerably.

-----

Some persons are screaming "Challenging new things boldly!". However they omit the latter part of the line.

"However, in a world where I have no connection"

-----

After all, the world doesn't like change.

They will thoroughly resist changes caused by strangers who have no interest in them.

Even if they may be profitable, they will disagree if there is a risk,

Because no risk in the life is the best.

Therefore, for those who don't like change, the person who creates new value is always the "enemy"”.

-----

However, I can watch this world from the different angles.

For example,

I have been an engineer for a long time, so I'll have the opportunity to immerse my tech. in the development system.

The programs and design that I mass-produce when I work for am a weekend engineer, may continue to live in another system by the other engineers in the world.

If I am asked why I think so, I am actually using other people's programs that are publicly available.

-----

So, if you work as a weekend engineer unrelated to your business, and continue to spread your technology (source codes e.t.c.) around the world,

For this world that hates this change and can only deny new values, you can shout

"Serve you right!"

I think the motivation of OSS (Open Source Software) members is just for this "Serve you right!"

I am convinced that this is the correct answer.

The "wish" I mentioned the other day is apparently not going to come true.

My interest is going to "What percentage of "my worst expectation" will stay?"

-----

This is the presentation file I used when I was asked to give a lecture by an organization.

"Unpleasant" United States presidential election mechanism

If you are interested, please read it.

-----

Ebata: "Why is this US presidential election on November 3rd?"

Daughter: "Hmm, maybe it's Japan's "Culture Day""

Ebata: "Once upon a time, I've heard that quite a few Americans answered, 'The capital of Japan is Beijing'"

Ebata: "I think that Americans are still interested in Japan at most-even more, and I also think that there are no natives who know Japanese holidays."

"I know you don't mean any harm."

We often find ourselves in these situations.

For example,

- When I clicked on an article featured on a social networking site and it was not available on a paid site.

- When a few graduates of Japan's highest university are having a good time at a drinking party, talking about how they disrespected their home university.

I know the people I've introduced and the people I've had the pleasure of drinking with, and I know that they don't have the slightest desire to 'put anyone down' -- but it's still not a good feeling.

-----

I am a resident of the Odakyu line, and I often use the Keio line as well.

When it comes to Odakyu and Keio, there is the "attempted indiscriminate murder case".

There are some really irredeemable idiots who are saying stupid things about this incident, such as "passengers should fight back.

We know "now" that "The killer only had a knife.

The passengers could have had gasoline sprayed on their bodies and set on fire by the perpetrators, and maybe the perpetrators had 'explosives' in their possession.

Considering this situation, there is no doubt that "escape" is the best solution (even if it is localized) in that incident.

-----

The problem is the motive of the perpetrator in this case.

"I did this because I want the death penalty"

This motive makes no sense at all, and there is no way to counter a murderer with such a motive.

I had discussed this area 10 years ago.

This time, however, I thought about it from a different perspective.

それは、

That is,

"Self-development of the ability to grasp the behavior of others without malice as malice"

です。

-----

The first part of my story was "What? Do I have to think about subscribing to someone else's paid news site?" or "Is it wrong to get excited about my alma mater? I can't argue with that at all.

No amount of logic can derive "ask them to stop".

But it pisses me off -- this is a fact, and not a logic.

And these feelings are unpredictable.

-----

For example -- I know there are people who are uncomfortable reading my columns.

If it is not good enough, I think some people are pissed off not only that my column exists, but that I exist at all.

Of course, I can shout 'unreasonable,' but emotions are always unreasonable.

That's why I often remind my daughters of this.

"There are people who find it uninteresting even to talk about your stories at your campus"

"The more educated they are, the more naive they tend to be about this issue.

"So, be very careful about the topics of your conversations"

-----

Again, the victims in these cases are 100% victims, and there is no need to give any consideration to the perpetrators.

However, this type of incident will continue to happen.

There will be no fundamental solution.

"To stay away from another person based solely on foresight or prediction based on his or her appearance or behavior"

"Some people may call this 'discrimination' (for example, it is me (Ebata)).

However, we may be living in an age where this kind of ability to foresee and predict will be necessary.

Which country declared war on a country that relies on them for 90% of its energy (oil)?

The answer is "Japan".

In 1941, Japan launched a war against the United States.

The ratio of national power at that time was 50 (U.S.):1 (Japan).

-----

What I'm trying to say is,

'War, however irrational it may be, begins when it begins.'

and, in many cases

A war cannot be stopped until one side or the other is in a state of what might be called devastation."

This was a historical fact.

For more on this, please read "Japan's Decision to Start War with Four "Ifs" and One "Might"" here.

I don't know about other cases, but it seems that when it comes to wars between nations, a lesson of history is that 'lessons of history are useless'.

-----

There are many things I do not understand about the relationship between Russia and Japan regarding this Russian invasion of Ukraine.

I am not familiar with the energy issues between Russia and our country.

For example, the projects called "Sakhalin 1" and "Sakhalin 2."

Japan, in its role as the standard-bearer of the Western liberal camp in Asia, is imposing an unprecedented level of economic sanctions against Russia.

So, it would make sense for Russia to "completely stop energy exports to Japan" in retaliation (if they completely disregard contracts, illegal acts under international law, international conventions, etc.).

Even the U.S. oil export ban on Japan in 1941 was a complete breach of contract on the private level. However, there is no way that a private energy company can compete with the power of the state.

To begin with, I am not even sure what is going on right now with the withdrawal of WIPO's MFN status to Russia.

-----

I am looking forward to receiving an e-mail from anyone who can provide a simple explanation of this situation to Ebata.

If the stories I receive catch Ebata's heart, I would like to immediately adopt them in our column.

Of course, we will keep the source of the story confidential.

I remember writing once that 'I have no need for approval, but I can't stand being recognized as incompetent.

So, this is my standard of evaluation of others.

(1) To begin with, I am not interested in other people's personalities → I am not interested in other people's self-promotion, and I have no approval process for others.

(2) I am interested in other people's abilities → I show (excessive) respect to those who can complete a thing or thing.

-----

It's nothing.

It means 'my values = the standard of values others see.'

I know you might say, "What are you talking about now, Ebata?" but this was quite a discovery for me.

"Eureka!" I'm about to run naked through the streets.

-----

As you may know, I have been feeling depressed lately due to various duties and deadlines.

I kept thinking about why I was in this situation, and the result was that I was frightened by 'the fear that others may have certified me as incompetent.

Criticisms of others come back like boomerangs, just as they are, as values that bind you.

In order not to stab yourself with a knife, you should not point it at others -- but as for me, it is perfectly too late.

I have a "knife" lying everywhere in my blog.

-----

This proves I have been sorting others by "usefulness" and "uselessness."

I think I am a regular 'jerk.'

Still, I don't think of it as 'I hate myself.'

-----

'I did everything in my power, but I didn't quite reach (what I consider to be) my goal. But, well, that's okay then.'

If you have to be serious about it

Your knife will be thrust into you.

It is really.
