そこで、本日は、夏休みの自由研究に関しては、「ネタがない」どころか、「ネタを選択するのに困った」という私より、いくつかのネタを提供させて頂きます。

Today, I am going to give you some themes. I have had no experiment of troubles against "Independent research". Moreover, I have had experiment of troubles against choice of the themes.

ちなみに、この「自慢話」をすると、娘たちが、殺意の目を私に向けます。

Incidentally, whenever I tell my daughters this brag, they always turn their gaze on me with intention of kill.

■同じ新聞社の8月15日の新聞を、過去に遡って集めて、終戦に関する記事が掲載された「面積」を調べる。

- Check and calculate paper spaces, where articles of Armistice Day are over several decades of one Newspaper Company.

■違う新聞社の本日の新聞を、集めて、終戦に関する記事が掲載された「面積」を比較する。

- Check and calculate paper spaces, where articles of Armistice Day of today's several newspaper company.

■上記に関して、どのような単語があり、それらがいくつ使われているか(原爆、自衛、玉砕、侵略(と侵攻))を数える。

- For the above, check what kinds of word and how many times are used (for example, Atomic bomb, Self-defense, audacious attack, foray and inroads)

または、「日本航空123便墜落事故」で、紙面の面積を調べても良いです。

- On the other hand, you could change the theme from "Armistice Day" to "The 123rd flight Japan Airlines crash".

これをグラフで表記するだけでも、そうとう意義のある研究になるはずです。

I believe that this research is going to be meaningful even if you show just the change by charts.
