キリスト教、イスラム教、仏教については、若い頃から、色々な本をよんで、ざっくりとした知識は持っていると思っています。

About Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism, I think that I have rough knowledge by reading various books since I was young.

しかし、身近な「日本の神様」については、私、全然知らんなぁ、と気がついたのは最近のことです。

However, recently I noticed that I do not know about familiar "Japanese gods".

そして、ある日、

And one day,

―― 随分、もったいないことをしているな

"I do a lot of wasteful things"

と、気がつきました。

I noticed that.

なぜなら、日本の多くの地域は、一番近いコンビニエンスストアよりも、もっと近くに「神社」があるからです(オーナー不在の、小さな神社も含めて)。

Because in many parts of Japan, there is a "shrine" closer to the nearest convenience store (including a small shrine without the owner).

「日本の神様」についての知識があれば、これらのコンビニ・・・ではなく、神社について、深く楽しめるハズ、と考えました。

With the knowledge of "Japanese gods", I thought that I can enjoy deeply about shrines.. not convenience stores.

で、私が何をしたかというと、―― マンガを買いました。

So, what I did is that I bought a manga.

「もぐらと奈加ちゃんが日本の神様にツッコミ入れてみた」

"Magora and Kana put Tsukkomi(complains) in Japanese gods"

この本では、「日本の神様」について、小学生の女の子が、鋭いツッコミ(変、矛盾、不合理、等々)を行いますが、その、いちいちが、大変説得力のあるツッコミなのです。

In this book, the primary school girl whose name is "Kana" will do sharp tsukkomi (strange, contradictory, irrational, etc.) about "Japanese gods", and they are very convincing Tsukkomi.

『神様(の成立や行動)を批判する』という切り口で、日本の神様への理解を促す ―― これは凄い本だ、と思いました。

In criticism of "God (of the history and behavior)", this book makes us understand "Japanese gods" and really a great book.

著者である、"もぐら"さんに、最大の賛辞を送らせて頂きます。

I will send the greatest tribute to Mogura-san who is the author.

特筆すべき点は、「日本の神様」 ―― ざっと、800万ほどいる ―― の代表的な神様に限定して、その譜系を記載した、見開きのページです。

Noteworthy point is a two-page spread with the correlation diagram restricted to the representative "Japanese gods" from roughly eight million.

これは、暗記して、一生覚えておく価値のある相関図です。

I think this is a correlation diagram that is valuable to memorize and remember for the rest of my life.

私は、すでに、この本を100回近く、読み直しています ―― 毎日、風呂の中で読んでるので、すでにボロボロです。

I already read this book nearly 100 times - I am reading it in the bath everyday, so it is already terrible.

で、今回、羽田に戻るフライトまでの間隙の時間を使って「出雲大社」に行ってきたのですが ―― もう、私は大興奮でした。

So, I went to "Izumo Taisha" with the time of the gap to flight back to Haneda this time - I was excited a lot.
