久々に特許明細書を書いているのですが、今回は、これまでと違って、気をつけていることがあります。
For the first time in a few years, I begin to write an patent application. But in this case, I should pay an attention for me.

特許明細書の内容は、世の中のほとんどの人には呪文か暗号のような内容です。
Contents of patent application are like to be spells or cryptograms for many people in the world.
「その分野の通常の知識を有するもの」にとっても、相当な気合を入れないと、理解できません。
Even if you were "a special person who has special knowledge in the technical field", you could not understand the patent without your special efforts.
加えて、その記載方法が、古くさいんです。
To make matter worse, the application style seems to to be out-of date.
図面は原則として白黒の線図、明細書(説明分)は文字しか使えません。
As a rule, you can use monochrome lineal drawings in the figures, and normal characters in the documents.
文章にリンクを埋め込むことはできませんし、図面から文章に飛ぶこともできません。
"linked documents" is not allowed and "tab jump" is prohibited.
当然、アニメーションや動画もダメです。
Of course, you cannot use any animations and movies.

もっとも、これらの「きまり」は、悪くはないのです。
But these "rules" are not bad for us.
まず、印刷するだけで誰もが発明の内容を知ることができます。特別なツールは必要ありません。
At first, everybody can access any patent application, only to print them. No special tool is needed.
華美で派手な表現をする為のツールを使い熟す能力も不要です。
No capabilities to make full use of presentation tools, which can bring someone a surprise.
このような「きまり」があるからこそ、国民に平等な特許出願制度が維持できているのだ、とは思うのです。
I think that these rules make fair application for patent in Japan.

しかし、問題はそこではないのです。
