The first computer I had used in my life was in college computer center.

I think that I was second grade.

The computer was composed of TSS (Time sharing system), and was enormous valuable resource in those days.

The college student use the computer resource for several ten minutes in a year, and the sequence calculation time was in 70 seconds.

It was a true story.

In those days, few students had used the computer seriously. In my case, I would have use it if my friend had not advised me how to use it,

I was really great student, because I had tried to verify the experiment result with the computer calculation.

What my trial was to check the difference between result of experiment of thermoelectric couple and the calculation (You don't ignore such a complicated story.)

Just before 70 seconds was passed, I wrote down the output number and I enter the number to the computer again. I retried again and again.

After many miry burdens and failures, what should I say when I could find the perfect matching between two.

It was an ecstasy.

-----

When I see a person who enjoy a game by Smartphone on my way home,

Oh, never waste that CPU power,

I become thinking what I don't have to think.

How would you use your CPU power for the time-scale simulation of contaminated areas of the nuclear accident?

Yes, I do understand that I am saying something meaningless.

I continue living a life at the country house with father from the first day in this long holidays.

With four PCs which I brought into the country house, I work in various ways in the time of the gap of cooking, washing, going to hospital, and shopping.

When I go to the recycling center to throw away large-size refuse, I record the sound of N Spes (NHK Specials) from Youtube and hear them in my POD.

I continue working with housework while hearing N Spc. of Holocaust in Cambodia, the Cultural Revolution, Siberia detention, Fleta, declining birthrate from yesterday.

"Not bad"

Only the sound is all right. I can practice the English hearing at the time of English interview.

About the interview by Khmer, Chinese, Russian, I cannot do anything without the subtitle in fact.

-----

Now I am cleaning up a stockroom of the country house.

For both yesterday and today, I packed boxes with anything at the stockroom and kitchen, and other rooms, and I carried the boxes into my car and threw the boxes into a disposal center in the country.

I found a beneficent company which accept old PC free of charge, so I sent two sets of PC to the company.

Finally, I used more than 30 boxes.

For the first time, I have a turn an officer of my neighborhood association.

As you know, an office of neighborhood association is likely to more depressing than that of PTA.

Of course, I also feel depression, however, it is a kind of "prison time", when I live anywhere.

But I feel easy, because I become a "press officer" in the neighborhood association.

I flatter myself that I am a top mass-producer of dummy texts in Japan,

In addition, no problem happens even if I ask someone to make Web site maintenance.

To begin with, I can edit my web site by native html language (No experiment of Web make tool)

-----

The other day, I went to a kick-off meeting of the neighborhood association for the first time. (I had submitted a commission since now.)

I come to think

"This association might be good for me"

Because,

"All persons who say something, can explain their comment shortly and compactly

I have known in my life,

"A person who speak longer, is poor"

"A person who cannot speak concise, is dummy"

And I also know that the older they are, the more terrible their speech becomes.

On the other hand, the persons who said in the meeting, speak their comment shortly and compactly, so I come to think that

"I have to change the recognition of neighborhood association"

To tell you the truth, I think that many of head of junior, junior high ,and high school are "poor" and "dummy".

The presentation of teachers, especially ,management class of them, are depressing

In the place of entrance ceremony and graduation ceremony, which are big stages for them, their tired speeches are beyond saving.

I think that the tired speeches are for their age, and I also have to be cautious about my speech.

It would seem that that is my big misunderstanding.

-----

From now on, I will tell you some stories of this association, and finally I confirm that I will show you one of two conclusions, as follows.

"I had been a great help"

か、

or

"I had destroyed the association"

because of past disasters of mine.

(Continuation from yesterday)

The contents of your folder inside of "Golden Week holidays"

you put it in the "Recycle Bin".

In addition, I will strongly recommend

to completely erase it so that you can not be revived

By the way, now, in my "consecutive holidays" folder,

- completing restoration of the town interiors

- Neighborhood Association Website Reform

- construction of a neighborhood association mailing list server

- building a family home watching system (New system using SORACOM device)

- contribution of contributions requested from a certain academic society

- manuscript of the May series (at least to the drawing)

- domestic housework, outpatient support, visitor response, repair, maintenance

Moreover, unless it finishes during this consecutive holidays, the schedule after that will collapse with rattle.

Although it can not be helped,

"I have not estimated my own performance by myself"

I think only.

So far, I have moved from Chubu → Kansai (student age) → Kanto.

Among these, I feel that there are many DIY shops in the central area.

After a little research, it was as expected.

My (prefecture) of hometown is proud of the number of DIY stores in Japan.

-----

Since I was a child, I made some wiring work, water repair and garden maintenance, as well as making shelves and desks by myself.

I felt that my surroundings were similar.

When I was in junior high school, I climbed the roof and set up the antenna.(When I tried to set it up at home recently, I was stopped by my wife.)

I believed that "It would be a story of a rich man living in a big house" about "calling an electrician just for television wiring”

I heard the story of my wife's parents, and I knew that I misunderstood.

-----

I am excited when I approach a DIY shop.

When it becomes a huge DIY shop, the excitement is further increased.

Basically, I go to the DIY shop to solve the problem when something goes wrong.

However, when looking at the goods of the DIY shop, another solution comes to mind, and it is also so much fun.

-----

The tools displayed in the DIY shop also entertain me.

I have mentioned it before-

- The "electric chain saw" has turned a huge garden tree into a piece of wood in less than an hour,

- "Hydraulic jack" lifts the car of my family lightly, and the replacement of the snow tire will be completed within 30 minutes.

The cost performance is overwhelming when I ask the contractor, and moreover, these tasks are fun for myself.

-----

However, I also know that these are not "fun" for everyone.

For me, shopping malls are just stores, except bookstores and restaurants, and amusement park is just a stress generator, unless it is waiting for 0 minutes.

So, this time,

"Next to Tokyo Disneyland, a Japan's largest DIY shop will be added and making it possible for mutual access."

I would like to try about the 100th proposal.

I think there are certain needs, but how about that?

I received an e-mail from Mr. S, who is my programming mentor and has read the diary yesterday.

The following is a summary of the email ((I have not given permission Mr.S , but I think that he will give it to me)

- "Isn't" Excel "enough? (by Ebata) ”I thought it was exactly this.

- I also think teenagers (under college) should not write programs.

-----

In addition,

- I try to make my children study only matrices and calculus because they need to be in any world.

I was impressed with this last sentence.

"Without matrix and calculus, there is no way to understand the world"

This is an absolute truth that overwhelms any great philosophical or religious dogma in the world.

-----

Let's get back to it. only Excel can cover a great deal of computer calculations.

"Operate with Excel! Scientific calculation that can be done up to here"

"First artificial intelligence, AI to learn while experiencing with Excel"

These two books are very helpful to me when I wrote the column,

Mr. S introduceded me, the following two book.

"Understanding machine learning, super introduction, AI models and algorithms understood in Excel"

"Deep Learning Super Intro to Excel [RNN / DQN Edition]"

The great thing about these books is that even if I can't understand mathematical formulas, I can "see" the motion of calculation just by looking at the motion of Excel.

After that, when I read the formula, "Ah! That kind of thing! !! It is good that I can understand.

In other words, whether you are a child or an adult, the height of psychological barriers to understanding mathematical formulas is lowered to zero.

-----

Yeah, I was burning with a sense of mission.

In order to make Japan a world-class

urgently and selfishly

Just thinking about it for ten seconds, a mountain of mind-numbing tasks came to my mind, and I'm feeling depressed even at this very moment.

------

Yes, that's right.

In the modern Olympics, "Olympics" and "terrorism" are like a standard set menu.

(Let you search for "Munich Olympics.")

I (we?) seem to have forgotten about this issue. Well, I don't think that's true for the police who are in charge of security.

Anyway, the threat of terrorism is not lowered just because of the "corona disaster".

If I were a terrorist, I would definitely target the Olympics, where it is difficult to set up a security system.

-----

I can only imagine the "stomachache" of those involved in the management of the Olympic.

I feel quite guilty about myself for saying what I want from a comfortable position.

Russia is currently under a condemnation resolution from the United Nations.

In the past, Japan withdrew itself from the League of Nations (1933).

Russia is under economic sanctions, but it is the world's energy resource producer and China is a (de facto) ally.

In the past, Japan was also subjected to economic sanctions from all over the world (100% economic sanctions since 1941).

In addition, our country's energy production was only about 10%, and our only allies were two European countries (Germany and Italy), neither of which was an energy supplier or had transportation routes that could accommodate energy (*).

(*)To my surprise when I looked into this issue, it seems that Japan was producing quite a bit of crude oil at that time.

-- Yet, the people of our country at that time endured four years of war

If it had not been for the air raid on Tokyo, if it had not been for the atomic bombings, if it had not been for the Soviet Union's unilateral abrogation of the peace treaty -- maybe they would have endured for a longer period of time, I think.

Incidentally, public disillusionment with the war occurred only in the last six months of the war, when air raids began to become more frequent, and until then, government approval ratings had been relatively favorable.

Support for government during war is "high" -- this is pretty much common knowledge (e.g., suicide rates improve horribly).
