If it is a beta world line, it "converges" to a future in which World War III occurs, and if it is an alpha world war, it "converges" to a dystopia.

The future of World War III is prevented when Rintaro Okabe reaches the Steins;Gate world line, where there is no such "convergence" at all.

Aside from that.

-----

Now, in the real world, we are on the verge of a serious World War III.

So far, humanity has fought two world wars.

And if we start another war for the third time because of the "egos of the great powers," we human beings will inevitably be slandered as 'idiots'.

World War III should be told in the context of a "struggle through time and space" that transcends even space wars.

I have no reason to forgive "those people" who are currently creating the same scenery on earth as the opening of Steins;Gate Zero.

By the way, there is no such thing as "research is not ruined just because a paper is burned".

If you are a researcher, you can rewrite your paper (OR patent specification) 11 times even if it is burned 10 times.

Dr. Nakabachi could not understand or even plagiarize the contents of his daughter's (Kurisu Makise's) paper.

Anyway, don't "select" Steins;Gate from NetFlix after midnight.

# It is not Steins;Gate's selection.

Quite a dystopia -- all-night weekday screenings -- awaits.

So-called prominent people who attract worldwide attention continue to engage in severe self-criticism and reflection -- apparently.

Indeed, I believe that at the end of such days, they can rise something that moves the world and inspires the world.

But to such people, the world is invisible -- to them, the world is not a spectator.

For them, the audience is themselves.

-----

That audience (they) will not offer words of praise for their performance.

Instead, they continually search for flaws in their own performance and demand higher and higher from themselves.

The performance will be even greater, higher, and more polished, and no one will be able to catch up to them.

We are just a mob of people who are not given a second thought by them, just adding their fingers and watching.

-----

I think it's a respectful act, however I'm not going to live that way.

In the first place, do I enjoy living that way? I think.

When I finish a column, when a program works the way I want it to, when an invention falls into a detailed drawing in my head.

In the presentation hall in my own head, all of me are standing at the hall with a storm of thunderous applause and cheers

It is the self standing ovation.

I like my "cheap" self to continue to be easily satisfied again and again with the heights within my reach, rather than to aim for something unparalleled in the world, based on rigorous self-improvement.

If there's one thing that I have in common with the world's most notable personalities, I have only one point: 'I don't care what the world thinks.

Today, I finished changing the studless tires to normal tires on my own.

Today, too, I am in 'standing ovation'.

My wife was about to watch the recorded live-action version of "The Promised Neverland" that aired on terrestrial TV, however I stopped her just in time.

"It was a close call"

So, now, compulsively, I show my wife the animated version of "The Promised Neverland (Season 1)" on NetFlix.

In fact, the reason for the series of PC repairs from yesterday to this morning is that I was trying to get my wife to watch the animated version of "The Promised Neverland" when the PC malfunctioned.

Hence, I had reason to "rush" the repair.

My wife said she would watch the live-action version and then the anime, but I did not allow her the order because of stop spoiling it.

I think I rewatched the last episode and the one before of season 1 at least 10 times (by the way, I have not watched season 2 yet).

Incidentally, my second daughter seems to be a "Neverland of Promises" comic book guesser.

Today, new my column is released, so I take a day off.

-----

I talked with my wife about the main theme of this issue: fear of vaccination.

Ebata: "You didn't find the vaccination scary?"

Wife: "I don't have any pre-existing conditions, and I had heard about the side effects, so I kind of thought, 'I'll be fine.'"

Ebata: "How do you think if you had had a strong allergic reaction or anaphylaxis in the past and you had had to go to the emergency room?"

Wife: "Then I would definitely feel 'scared. ' I think it's natural to feel like, 'I don't want me to do anything.'"

------

My mother was hospitalized immediately after the first vaccination, and subsequent vaccinations were stopped by the doctor, and she was in and out of the hospital and transferred to other hospitals repeatedly.

Then, in January of this year, she died of cardiac arrest.

Perhaps the cause of my mother's death was the 'vaccination'.

If I were to die suddenly from myocarditis, it might be due to 'corona vaccination'.

Or it could be the "flu vaccination" that I receive every year, or the "tranquilizers" that I take once a week.

Or it could be the "sleeping pills" that I take once a month or so, or it could be "Hokkyoku Ramen".

By the way, I am not trying to be a joke.

As Dr. Shivata discusses in this column.

(1) Some people have died of myocarditis because of vaccination

(2) Some people have died of myocarditis due to COVID-19 .

(3) Some people have died of myocarditis unrelated to the above (1) and (2)

(Please read the column "CQ Last Number" for more information on that ratio.)

If you vaccinate, you will not be able to identify any of the reasons for (1), (2), or (3) above, but if you do not vaccinate, you will not have to consider at least (1).

I think that is one of the most satisfying ways to die.

"I'm going to die because I was seduced into getting vaccinated by a column by a guy named Ebata"

I am sure that the life that ends with the thought, will be a life of regret.

-----

I am the reverse pattern.

"I waited for the day of the mRNA vaccination like a child waiting for a field trip"

I doubt there are 10 such people in the country, but still, here is one.

I was excited just by the idea of vaccines by in silico (computer-aided design, etc.).

I thought 'bug out was perfect' with the good fortune that our country is a latecomer to the corona vaccine and is also the next in line of medical professionals in the country.

A phrase that has been used in our field for nearly 20 years is "the fusion of analog and digital," but I never thought it would be realized in this way.

Therefore, for me, it is satisfying to end my life thinking, "Was the fusion of analog and digital technology premature?"

I am well aware -- that I have an abnormal paradigm.

A bug in a program is really a small thing.

I am not surprised that the bug responsible for causing a major blackout in 1/3 of California was famously "just three lines of programming".

Because I spent three days straight checking the traces of three programs over a hundred times to find the timing discrepancies in reading the data, and

"I commented out one line of JavaScript and the program started working easily."

So, what is left is a very dirty, ugly program list with a mountain of added (and totally unrelated) variables and a huge number of printout messages written on it.

Now I have the not-so-fun task of cleaning it up and uploading it to the server so that future for me.

-----

Programming education by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) ignores this current state of program development.

And they seem to think that they can teach something that is "programmatic thinking".

However, I understand that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology says, 'That's the only way to do it'.

I assure you that if the MEXT force children to experience the realities of the front lines of program development, they will all run away.

だから、

So, I think,

"Well, if such a thing can really happen, I can say 'congratulations' from the bottom of my heart to both the child and the Ministry of Education"

Let's wait and see what happens in 10 years.

The other day, when I tried to use my credit card to send money to a store in Europe after completing the order process, I was troubled by the fact that it kept getting rejected with errors.

The location of the store was not disclosed, but it might have been "that country that is under financial sanctions from all over the world".

It said, "You can also pay in Bitcoin," so I attempted the method.

I still had some money left over from a previous purchase of about $5,000 for testing.

However, the system told me, 'The balance is not enough.

I thought this was strange, so I looked into it and was surprised to find that "the cost of remittance was higher than the price of the purchased item.

I thought 'Bitcoin has low remittance costs' was the biggest selling point.

This may not have been because of the bitcoin, but because of the fees charged by the store. Anyway, I gave up on the bitcoin transfer and canceled this transaction.

-----

(1) If retail stores are force to stop using credit cards, they are going to dry up easily.

(2) Bitcoin could be used as a loophole in payment procedures.

This was a real experience of what is currently being reported in the news.

"A manager who has led a project team with ambitious objectives" and "a programmer who can compute the data in front of him/her in any way they wants."

Which has more market value and which has a larger market size?

I have been thinking about this for a long time.

-----

Makiko Uchidate's novel, "The Finished Man," is one of the greatest "horror novels" of my generation.

"Academic background from Japan's highest academic institution and a high career at a prestigious company become the biggest obstacles to re-entering the workforce after retirement"

The story appears in the book.

Even the protagonist of this novel says, 'I'll do any job,' but the president of the small business firm hesitates to hire him at every turn.

I understand their feeling very well.

Even they would not like to be told how to run their companies.

However, I believe that seniors who want to be rehired will do what they are told, with no intention of meddling in the management of the company.

However, the people on the field make the conjecture.

Is this "reverse discrimination" or "elite discrimination"?

-----

If I were the president of a small business, what kind of senior would I want?

- humble, energetic, and even a little bouncy in some ways, like a rookie.

- Change direction quickly if someone pay attention to them, and if achieve something that leads to money without being too obvious, don't blow it out of the water, just go about it nonchalantly, and don't even try to get you to pay attention.

- Study it quietly, and if don't understand, honestly bow down to the young man and ask him to help.

- Robust, both mental and physical.

I would want such "seniors".

In the future, both newcomers and seniors will be measured by their "readiness to work," and we seniors are expected to be role models, like

Newcomers who are required to be broadminded enough to associate with people of all sorts for the sake of working out a compromise.

I think.

Which has more market value and which has a larger market size?

I do not know about market value.

However, I think the largest market is for "seniors who can quickly complete tasks that are assigned to them.

Multinational forces, including the United States, launched the Gulf War in 1991.

In 1990, the Hussein regime in Iraq launched an attack against Kuwait, which had large oil reserves. In response, a multinational force, under a United Nations resolution, launched an attack on Iraq.

Public opinion in the U.S., which at the time was averse to war, was quickly galvanized by the "Nayirah testimony" to start the war.

The "Nayirah testimony" was a radical testimony given by a young girl who identified herself as "Nayirah" after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.

'Iraqi soldiers removed a newborn from a Kuwaiti hospital in an incubator and left it to die,' he said tearfully (I remember it well because it was on the news many times).

It is now known that this was "perjury" and that the girl, Nayirah, was the daughter of Saud an-Nasser a-Sabah, then Kuwait's ambassador to the United States.

"The world (including the American people) was successfully deceived by the girl's perjury, and pushed forward to the war"

(Part 2)

In 2003, the United States and the United Kingdom launched a war in Iraq.

President Bush cited the following reasons for the war, in his speeches before and after the war.

(1) Continued to possess weapons of mass destruction, including biological and chemical weapons, denied the existence of such weapons, and failed to cooperate fully with UN weapons inspectors

(2) Free Iraqi civilians from the oppressive regime of President Saddam Hussein.

However, even within the UN Security Council, France, Germany, Russia, and China opposed military intervention.

Due to the veto power of the permanent members of the Council, the UN force was not activated.

The United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries formed a coalition of the willing and launched a pre-emptive strike on March 20, bombing the country.

で、

As a result,

"Not a single piece of evidence was found that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, including biological or chemical weapons"

Because of this, then British Prime Minister Blair was forced to step down (President Bush did not step down).

(Other)

-- In 1945, the United States detonated a nuclear bomb at 3,000 degrees Celsius (half the surface temperature of the sun) over the heads of non-combatant citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

It is a common belief (in Japan) that this was the beginning of the division of the Allied Forces (Cold War) and a demonstration by the nuclear weapon states against the Soviet Union, which was invading Manchuria and the Northern Territories (contrary to the official view of the US government).

I cannot tolerate, in an absolute sense, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, especially its massacres of its own citizens.

Also, as a citizen of a country that is not a party to the war, I believe that the reports in Japan at this time are probably generally true.

But the reason I don't shout it out loud (writing columns, contributing, etc.) and stick to personal support is

"I have been continuously deceived by government announcements (propaganda) from all over the world"

I have bitter memories of the past like the above.

-----

I don't believe that "governments lie all the time," but when it comes to war (national defense), every government lies with high frequency.

And I, too, have been cheated, quite easily.

By the way, I cannot talk about "personal support" at this time.

"Why is Ebata still coding?" I think there are many people who think that.

For the past few years, I have had the program created by an outsourcer.

I've had all the items delivered to me, including the source code, however, I came to realize

"I have not been able to reuse (modify) their source code at all"

To be clear, "programs written by others" are, to put it bluntly, "spellbinding.

Not only programming languages that I am not familiar with, but also even programming languages that I am familiar with, are not

- Libraries are different,

- Program development environments are different,

- Versions (specifications) of the programming language are differnt,

In, addition, the crucial thing is that

- Coding approaches (philosophy) are different.

This point is hopelessly "spellbinding".

Once, my mentor, "Erukan" said,

"Reading someone else's program is like looking into someone else's head. it's offensive and even vomit-inducing"

I think that this is a great quote.

-----

Pain-free programming is programming done by myself alone from scratch.

However, this is a 'luxury' of such programming, given the speed of digital services these days.

I also have to admit that it is 'unproductive'.

If the programming is "luxury" and "unproductive", where can I get resources from?

The only thing I can use is "weekends" and "sleeping time".

-----

In the past, I could usually talk about the programming on the 'weekends' and on less sleep.

These days, it seems to be a 'compliance issue' to publicly state such a thing in the workplace, etc.

And I agree with this opinion.

This kind of talk is, after all, "power harassment," and this kind of bragging is infuriating to listen to.

So, from now on, I think it will become the norm that 'the work I want to do (programs I want to try, etc.) will be prepared "under the table".

-----

By the way, this "under the table" is not limited to programming. This goes for work in general.

I've always said.

"The work you want to do, do it alone, without making it public"

"Keep my eyes open for any opportunity to make it public"

These are important.

If you disclose your ideas to the organization in an unfinished state and at an inappropriate time, 'your idea will surely be crushed' -- logistically.

It is no exaggeration to say that this is an "axiom of organization".

For example, I have a service/product that I kept my idea hidden for three years, and after two years of discreetly disclosing it little by little, I finally got it to be recognized within the organization.

Now let's return to the main subject

-----

Why is Ebata still coding?" A lot can be said about this, but in a nutshell

"Because, it is easy"

I, even now, like this, but when I was younger, I was aiming to be "sociable" and seemed to strive to be a ""sociable".

with looking at my previous diary, I thought that. Directions aside.

But still, some things had not changed since junior high school.

It is "solitary eating" + "reading," is equal to "lunch with reading".

-----

After school lunches in elementary school ended and lunches for junior high school students began, 'lunch box with reading' was one of the finest times for me.

Enjoy eating and reading at the same time -- what a luxury!

I thought so.

Before the school week was introduced, classes on Saturdays lasted half a day.

I have always been a " latchkey kid" (a child who has no other family at home when he/she returns home and brings his/her own key to the house).

When I got home, I cycled to a nearby market to buy two croquettes and 100 grams of chicken.

And time to make "Miso Stewed Udon" for one person and read a book by Yasushi Inoue, was,

"a supreme time".

I don't think the idea of 'solitary eating is shameful' existed back then -- or maybe I just didn't realize it.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was a 'boy student'.

-----

Even today, I hear that "silent meals" are still being continued in schools as a countermeasure against the new coronas, which makes sense.

I have also heard from my sources that "children are picking up the infection at school and spreading it to their families"

Families with children (elementary and junior high school students) seem to accept this reality with resignation.

Still, a "silent meal" to reduce the "probability of infection" makes sense.

It is also significant not only for the family, but also to take into account the aftereffects of asymptomatic infection (brain fog, etc.) in the child.

-----

And I would suggest, of course, that

"lunch with reading"

です。

is.

In the field of education, one tablet per student has already been introduced.

「孤食」ができて、「読書」もできて、「IT(Information Tech.) x OT(Operation Tech.)」

It is a wonderful way to be able to eat alone, to read, to practice "IT (Information Tech.) x OT (Operation Tech.)," and on top of that, to realize "silent meal".

Eating a meal alone while reading Osamu Dazai or Yasushi Inoue on your iPad with kindle app." - that is a blissful lunch break, a "paradise lunch".

Am I the only one who thinks so?

I also change my personal email address from time to time.

I have received many different emails, but even I am afraid of emails from people who send me text messages that sound like 'I can hear God's voice'.

-----

I remember that I once created an automatic mail response system that made it look like a reply from "mailer-daemon" only to a specific person.

"There is a world of difference between 'can do' and 'done'"

I think this is common to all things, but especially in "manufacturing," it is an absolute fact.

The program's components are here. So all I have to do is assemble them. After that, It is tempting to feel as if the system has been completed.

In reality, however, the cost (hardship) becomes the same as or exceeds the total cost of conventional parts design and manufacturing.

If the system does not work, it is just garbage.

Recently, I bring my tablet to the bath to read "side story".

However, there are numerous scattered items that have been left in the middle of the story without completing it.

I can understand how a story the writer spread around, and no longer be collected or recovered, and finally they throwed it out.

Besides, 'they have the freedom to leave it unfinished' -- this is probably the difference between professionals and amateurs.

It is arrogant of me to complain as a reader, but I would like to read the story completed properly, no matter what the outcome.

However, I know that it is quite a struggle to keep writing when no feedback (praise or criticism) comes at all.

I can understand it well.

I even think that my efforts to date in "words" have been "in vain".

Well, I have tried my best so far without using any "emoticons" or "emojis," and I would like to keep up my will until the end, even if it is an unfounded will.

Dear my teenagers.

If there is an adult who says, "The basics are important in everything" -- you don't have to believe that adult

ABSOLUTELY.

-----

I am now in the final stages of a program that I have spent the last six months.

As I merge (combine) the various programs, many problems appear with breaking my hearts.

As proof, my weight is now down to 'the weight I bring on the day of my physical exam'.

-----

And now I'm thinking the following,

"The design of the exclusion process should have been more precise"

"The coded the timing of the Websocket issue should be more careful"

"If only this design policy had been in place from the beginning"

These can be summed up in one word.

"The basics are important in everything"

However, there is a problem.

The meanings of "The basics are important in everything" are,

(1) It is unclear at the start what that "basics" are.

(2) The "basics" are completely different from person to person.

です。

in addition,

(3) In the first place, "basics" are "boring" and "painful" without any more

(4) The phrase "the basics are important" is emanating from the "regret" of each individual.

です。

-----

だから、

Therefore,

"I took care of the 'basics'. That's why I am successful now, without any problems."

There is "no one" in the world who says such a thing (if there is one, please let me know).

If they are really serious, they are either "simple idiots" or "people with low aspirations who set low goals.

In any case, such a person is not an adult whom you teenagers can trust.

So what kind of adults can you trust?

"I failed at doing it this way and thought 'the basics are important', but it was just an 'It is no use crying over spilt milkl'"

An adult who has the courage to stop talking, and not impose his/her own personal "basics" on you

-----

Therefore, "basics" are garbage.

What is more important is "(1) Courage to start" and "(2) Ingenuity to enjoy" and "(3) Ingenuity to continue".

No one can tell you about these three.

You have to find it on your own.

-----

For example, I was quite prepared for the "Diary with English text" that you are reading now.

Especially, the above "(1) Courage to start" was really hard.

Thanks to this, I am able to realize every day that "the 'basics' WERE important.

# However, it could be said that our country has already been 'invaded' since we already allow other countries' military bases to be stationed in our country, but that is beside the point.

When talking about the "atrocities of the aggressor," I think it is an important matter of national security to be able to speak to the world in English, the de facto world language.

However, the percentage of people in Japan who are literate in English is "4%" according to Ebata's estimate.

Overwhelmingly low

It would be better to assume that there are no Japanese (including me) who can handle an interview in English.

I feel that "the way of information warfare" is changing in this war.

Until now, information warfare has centered on propaganda and espionage by the intelligence agencies of national governments.

This time, however, real-time (or live) information dissemination by citizens of the city has made a big impact.

I think that a situation where the evidence of the war trials after the war, not to mention international public opinion during the war, will be full of evidence, will put pressure on the rulers - well, it depends on the rulers, I guess.

(As an engineer, I think "evidence preservation and authenticity assurance technology" using blockchain, etc. will become important.)

-----

It is a bit tough to say whether the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) can write "studying English in preparation for future wars of aggression" into the guidelines for English education.

So I guess it would be the discretion of the teachers in the field.

'Hey, Nancy. Where are you going today?"'

'Oh, my God, Bob. Tom and I have a date today'

Instead of these conversation lessons,

'Give me back my daughter! Give me back my wife! Give me back my house and our land! What the hell have we done to you people! Answer me! XXXXX(The Enemy statesmen)!'

I think it would be good to just memorize these phrases.

A program I am currently working on is stuck with a serious (and troublesome) bug as it nears completion.

And, well, I'm sure you know this, as I have written about it extensively.

One thing is for sure,

"I never would have embarked on it if I didn't have telecommuting"

As such, I can be sure.

It is a blessing of the Corona disaster that I was allowed the luxury of 'wrestling with the cord for more than 10 hours in a row, until the wee hours of the morning'.

-----

I currently refer to this program by the directory name "1-9-4".

I am thinking of renaming the development code of this program "Corona" when it is finally completed (after confirming that it works).

I am convinced that this is the best code name to convey to future generations of "me" this period of mixed feelings of hatred and beneficence.

When talking to my senior daughter, there is one opinion that we always agree on.

'I can accept what people I like say, even if it's a harsh opinion.'

が、

on the other hand,

'I am 100% pissed off by everything that is said by someone I don't like, regardless of the merits of it.'

This is a view shared by my daughter, a working newcomer, and myself, a working senior.

For supervisors (including school teachers), "not being disliked" is extremely important from the perspective of organizational management.

I have read a little bit about Adler, however, his arguments were not very helpful to me honestly.

I do not know the contents of the book "The Courage to Be Disliked," but it would be a big problem if "the courage to be disliked" in the sense of the title were implemented in an organization.

That is because it is synonymous with "the collapse of management in an organization.

-----

We do not, as a rule, 'try to like someone we don't like'.

We cannot afford such huge costs for someone we don't like.

It's easier to continue to dislike someone like that honestly.

Hence, at least for me, 'when I get a work order from someone I don't like, I carry out the matters within the scope of that order and no more'.

'If I do more than what someone I don't like, he/she might be pleased' -- just the thought makes me unpleased.

-----

However, it is no problem that "the courage to be disliked" can be demonstrated somewhere away from the organization.

I agree and practice it -- or rather, it is my default.

However, those who are not afraid to brag things like "the courage to be disliked" within their organizations are extremely annoying.

I, 14 years ago, also wrote -- with the "food waste" metaphor.

Yesterday, I went to Utsunomiya City on business.

And I had to run around to some key locations to do some field work.

Cabs cannot see the area in detail and motorcycles are dangerous, so permission to use them is not granted without a tedious application process.

Then, "bike rental" is a candidate.

I was convinced that my legs would break if I didn't use an electric bike.

I called Utsunomiya City Rental Cycle and was told that all electric bicycles would be out of service within 10 minutes of the 8:00 start time.

I arrived at Utsunomiya at 7:30 a.m. using the first train and the Shinkansen, and was at the front of the line.

Still, I was very happy to be able to rent an electric bicycle without incident.

Still, while on the move, I had a pretty bad situation with my phone running out of power and a hunger knock at the same time.

Of course, electric bicycles are great, but I decided to think, 'I'm pretty cool too.

Today, I moderated a remote meeting of 80 members.

Japanese are said to be punctual, but that seems to be "only at the start".

"Many Japanese, when asked to give a presentation, usually fail to finish it in time"

They are too unaware of how uninteresting and boring their presentations are to almost everyone else.

I must have warned them at least five times, 'You have six minutes,' but the shortest presentation was eight minutes, and some exceeded 12 minutes.

-----

I, as the moderator of the meeting

(1) Declared skipping of question-and-answer session of a session whose time has expired.

(2) Forced to stop accepting questions one minute before,

(3) Waited for 5 seconds for questions only, then nominated attendees in a person directly

The meeting was forced with a declaration of the adoption of a method called

"The moderator's job is to complete the event on time"

A moderator who cannot control the occasion and time is as good as "not there".

-----

By the way, Ebata's column is described as 'long' in over 90% of the comments -- however, I am not

If you feel painful for "long" sentences, you don't have to read them.

To begin with, what I am writing is a column.

"Column" is a form of literature, the same genre as the novel.

The subjects my columns deal with just happen to be technology, mathematics and statistical results.

Where in the world does anyone complain that "a novel is too long"?

-----

In contrast, no one can "escape" from the organization's meetings.

An uncontrolled, lazy meeting is pretty much hell for the audience.

Therefore, it is no problem to say that a moderator who cannot control the occasion and time is "annoyingly low".

A reader of the column recommended the book, "Fooled by Randomness" -- which is interesting.

I think the introduction's sentence, "Why do people think it's their own ability when they make a profit on an investment and think it's bad luck when they lose money?" in the introduction.

I have "used" or rather "abused" the "Monte Carlo method" frequently mentioned in this book.

It is really easy to get a quick probability value answer with a simple program rather than a complicated formula.

I used to use the Monte Carlo method all the time in my columns around here, and it was really useful.

(A reader has since successfully formulated it.)

Aside from that.

As a mathematical analysis engineer, it is common sense to me to say, 'If you start playing the game, you lose at that point.

It seems to me that I have done too many calculations in the past to believe that I am the only one who can win.

I have lived a life of "if you don't play the game, you won't lose" which has enabled me to read books, write columns, do programming, and eat rice.

I think this is quite a 'win' -- although not very noticeable.

-----

Oh, I would like to take this opportunity to report on the progress.

"Random Walkers on Wall Street" Barton Malkiel -> Unread

"Learn to Earn" Peter Lynch, -> unread

Fast & Slow" Daniel Kahneman → read

"Fooled by Randomness" Nicholas Taleb -> read

"Black Swan" Nicholas Taleb → read

"Moneyball" Michael Lewis → read

"Flash Boys" Michael Lewis →read

です。

-----

In particular, "Flash Boys" is a highly praised book by Ebata that I can't tell you how many times I've read it.

# I was dazzled by how bad the story of the film adaptation was (really, that was a waste of time).

Anyway, after reading "Flash Boys," I understood on a soul level that "ordinary people trading are just going to get eaten alive.

In my current series, "The Engineer who is not loved by money", I have only 'index investing' as an option.

Well, I'll get back to this story at some point.

My daughters are, as a rule, amiable to others -- just like me.

Well, seriously.

I, at work, am very amiable.

I am convinced that I could write a whole column on the subject of "Amiability as a Strategy.

-----

It was at a part-time job where my daughter used to work that she had a problem with a senior customer who sent her an email.

Apparently, the man sent her a long email describing "my illustrious past".

She was having trouble coping and the consultation fell to me.

My daughter was being sociable with the customer in her 'business', but the customer came to think that she was being sociable with him in her 'favor', and -- well, this is a story that seems to be everywhere, not just with seniors.

Senior who wants to tell his "old saga" instead of his "current self" - this is probably the No. 1 case of harassment against young people at a drinking party.

But at the same time, it is a familiar story to me.

-----

As you know, I write and publish quite a huge amount of text every day.

And I am abusing the link (quote) of this text in emails and documents.

Although this is an act of 'I want to convey my thoughts from the past, with no explanations,' I think it is harassment enough for the reader.

-- well, readers can skip the link, so still less culpable than the senior above.

So I have ignored the fact.

Still, there is no difference in 'I want to talk about my past.

Let's admit the fact that I, am also a "senior who wants to tell the 'saga of the past'".

Seniors are poor creatures.

But I don't ask you to understand.

Because eventually you will understand.

-----

Now, in troubleshooting the above, I instructed my daughter to send the following email.

Before the advent of the PC, computers were mainframes.

It is what is called a cluster of giant calculators that sit on a vast floor.

Although the installation is similar to today's data centers, the content is completely different.

It is similar in appearance to a supercomputer, but differs in that a supercomputer is not a general-purpose computer (equipped with a general-purpose OS and general-purpose language).

-----

Japan was once the world's leading mainframe powerhouse.

This was largely due to the work of the then Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).

At the time, the world wanted IBM mainframes.

The same was true of Japanese industry and universities.

However, MITI thoroughly "interfered" with this.

'It must have the same performance. Then buy a Japanese mainframe.

Well, in this way, the Japanese mainframe industry continued to be protected, and the market has grown to the point where it rivals that of IBM.

Now, it seems that our country has recently embarked on a policy of protecting "homegrown quantum computers".

I am watching this move with great interest.

I used to do a series of articles on quantum computers for about six months.

My view at the time was,

"Quantum computers are still in the research phase"

A year and a half has passed since the last issue of the series. Have there been any new technological developments that have entered the practical stage?

-----

According to news reports,

"The government is planning to establish four new research and human resource development centers, including at Tohoku University, and has set a goal of 10 million users of quantum technology by 2030."

They are very specific.

Of course, I have no reason to oppose a policy of protection for "homegrown quantum computers," whether in the research or practical stage.

-----

My concern is not with the researchers, but with the government.

A "homegrown quantum computer" would require a huge, long-term budget, on the order of 20 to 50 years.

I am concerned about whether they can continue to budget patiently enough to withstand this.

The most likely scenario is that,

"If the U.S. and China back out (or give up) on the development of quantum computers, the government will immediately terminate the budget."

In the past, they have had a proven track record.

Like the drama "The Housekeeper Watches",

I saw it, ma'am -- the government threw away the Sigma project, the Expert System, and more recently, the domestic semiconductor project, and ran away.

-----

If the above project had continued, the Internet and the current AI could have originated in Japan..... No, that's not possible.

But, honestly, I think that Japanese researchers are not 'crazy' enough.

As such, I think I also have a short duration of enthusiasm for unknown research -- just like the Japanese government.

I feel pretty using this trial, and hang out three times daily.

I am doing better at pull-ups than hanging, and I can now do about 10 pull-ups in a row by hitting my head against the ceiling, pulling 5 cm away from it, and flailing my legs to gain momentum.

And after the pull-ups, I move on to hanging, which is honestly more painful, and I can't hang for more than 20 seconds.

I wear rubber gloves for construction work and hang on, but after 20 seconds, my grip becomes unbearable and I fall off.

I have learned that this grip strength problem is a common problem for people who are doing muscle training.

So today, I went to Amazon and bought something called "Power Grip".

I am not interested in muscle training, but I discovered something new: 'If there is an "iron bar" in my field of vision, I kind of want to hang on to it.

Solo camping (camping alone) has recently become popular.

When I was a young man, I used to post a set of camps on my motorcycle and go touring.

And people who have "never been" camping, or sometimes even people who have "been", tend to forget the following.

"Tent habitability is the worst"

It is usually either as hot as a sauna or as cold as the open air.

Naturally, we cannot get a good night's sleep.

The next day, dragging my lead-like body, we have to move on.

I once went on a touring trip to Hokuriku in GW, but I reached my physical limit on the second day and had to stay at a business hotel on the third day.

I was exhausted and convinced that if I continued on my motorcycle trip, I would 'cause an accident'.

-----

In the first place, we humans are a species that has evolved by abandoning the idea of living in nature, building houses, cities, and means of transportation.

A reckless desire to return to nature, without preliminary training, can be deadly.

I strongly recommend that you make your solo camping debut only after you have done the camp enough times with an experienced person.

To the worst case, you may become a "hermit" who decides that "home is best" for the rest of your life.

-----

Wandering around the world (mainly in Asia) with a backpack on my back - that was "me on another world line".

With many sacrifices, I have arrived at the "current world line" where "home is best".

I used to think that the best invention I had seen in my lifetime was the peeler.

However, the year before last, it lost the top spot to "mRNA vaccines".

The top spot remains unchanged, but a new competitor to the runner-up, the peeler, has appeared on the scene.

It is "Power Grid"

-----

This is amazing.

My hanging limit time has increased from 20 seconds to 60 seconds.

I found that the "Power Grid" can support my weight not only by my grip strength, but also by a band wrapped around my arm, so that I can hang on even with a weak grip.

However, the bars in my room are very narrow between the ceiling and the bars, so the elastic (rubber) that wraps around the palm is difficult to wrap around and takes a lot of work.

The body must be lifted high enough to get the elastic to wrap around the palm, so we are now using a stepladder to get closer to the ceiling.

-----

And I thought this could be the ultimate weapon to save elementary school students.

"kick over" ---- It is one of the techniques of bar exercises, which I have determined to be 'the ultimate in foolish education' and physical education harassment.

I am not sure if the Power Grid can be successfully applied to "kick over", but if it can be used successfully, I am hopeful that it will provide relief to children (including myself, once upon a time) who are struggling with "kick over" in one fell swoop.

The fact that anyone can do "kick over" with the use of aids is enough to diminish the value of "kick over" and erase the significance of "kick over" from the educational field.

Anyway,

"There seem to be many adults in the world who want to insist at all costs that "children who don't play outside get bad grades"

But, as I wrote, I am really sick and tired of the "children playing outdoors" cultures.

I wonder what kind of people are talking about "respect for diversity" and "emphasis on individuality".

A "shut-in" or "communicative disorder" - to accept such a child as he or she is is called "diversity.

Today, new my column is released, so I take a day off.

-----

My work these days is "solitary".

No, I don't mean 'work is lonely'.

The "shut-in" itself is not a problem, since I have been confined to the laboratory for the last 10 years and went straight from the Corona Disaster to working from home.

On the contrary, I am of the category that was able to perform with the Corona Disaster.

Well, that's beside the point.

-----

The target (one of the targets) of my research this year is "loneliness".

Loneliness is, of course, a problem in itself, but recent studies have shown that the negative impact on society caused by loneliness is going to be serious.

Well, I can't tell you more about the job description -- however, the amazing thing is that,

"It is me that one of the people in charge of this research

In my family, I seem to be treated like the 'opposite vector of loneliness'.

I think I "like being alone" more than I "can stand being alone".

"Eat alone than go out for a drink"," "Study alone with mind map rather than brainstorm in a group," "Tennis or skiing rather than baseball or soccer"

I'm at the point where I wonder what on earth the company is thinking -- it may be "thinking nothing at all," but I sometimes wonder if it might be "thoughtful HR".

Because a man like me, after retirement or the bereavement of a loved one, will soon be "wandering around in the darkness of loneliness,"

If a guy whose life default is "slapstick" is unable to perform as well as he does now due to a physical or brain disability -- I really think it will come very, very quickly.

By the time the poison of "loneliness" has reached my entire body, it will be too late" -- this is my envisioned future.

-----

Perhaps this year I will write a patent specification with "loneliness" as the "problem to be solved".

After all, I have even written patent specifications, presented at conferences, and submitted papers using a system that utilizes "anger" and "frustration".

I don't think anyone is more knowledgeable than I am about how to utilize "negative emotions" -- the dark side of the Force.

-----

This series of articles is a study work on how to successfully convert the "dark side of the Force" to "money (cash)" in my retirement.

The important thing is that if I don't do it before the 'loneliness' poison turns, it will be completely too late.

I am quite impatient.

It is true.

I wrote down in my notes what I wanted to do during this holiday weekend, then, there were a tremendous number of things to do.

"Why do I (we) put such excessive demands on myself(ourselves) during the holidays?"

Is it a "holiday illusion," so to speak?

The time we are given and the abilities we have, do not jump during the holidays.

The only advantage is that 'emails and phone calls don't come to us'.

-----

I have been coding deeply since the first day of GW.

Three buses equipped with my artificial intelligence (technology) are moving and working together, mutually calculating their routes hundreds of times per second and continuing to pick up and drop off residents of the city (which I inspected last month).

On a web map, of course.

"Cute little guys"

I am looking at them with smile.

My wife also looks at the moving icons and says they are cute, however I think that her viewpoint is different from mine.

I once tried to help a man who had fallen and was yelled at, 'Don't do anything unnecessary!

It was quite a shock, so I remember it.

However, I too am of the nature that I can't honestly ask for help from others, so I can understand the mind a little bit.

-----

A few years ago, I saw a man lying in a train station.

Everyone seemed concerned, but did not seem to reach out specifically for help.

As a rule, I am on their side, but I still crouched down near the fallen man and said a few words.

"If you wish, we can help you. Which is better for you?"

I have decided to "ditch" anyone who refrains here.

I do not offer second chances.

This is the "Ebata First & Final Call Protocol".

Incidentally, at that time, the man asked me to 'call the station staff,' so I called the station staff and just walked away.

-----

私は、

I always ask, at least once, the following questions.

"Shall I give you a seat?"

"Shall I call an ambulance?"

"Shall I get you some drinking water?"

"If you need help, I will give it to you."

"If you need help, I will give it to you."

However, if they 'decline' on their own terms, I will walk away.

(If no response is received, the decision will be based on the situation)

-----

However, an exception to this protocol is made with regard to "a person attempting to commit suicide by jumping into a train station".

If she/he does not comply, I will stop them, even by force.

"If you're going to jump in, make sure it's the next train after the one I'm on."
