I am reading "KIKEN"(the word has two meaning "danger" and "machine research laboratory", whose author is Hiro Arikawa-san.

Come to think about it, I had belonged in "KIKEN".

In this book, KIKEN means "machine control research laboratory". In my case, that means "electrics industrial engineering department, instrument research laboratory".

Sometimes my research lab. was also called "KIKEN". At that time, my brain tried to translate the word into not "danger" but "research lab.”

But I belonged in KIKEN and at the same time I was KIKEN too. It has already been a famous story.

-----

Arikawa-san has never used my experiments as follows

this story,

や、

that story,

や、

and another story (no wonder).

"Basically, schoolboys who major in engineering used to experimentalize explosions and/or fire on the verge of their house extinction."

When I told my junior colleague the above,

they shouted "You're alone." at the same time.

"Is it true? Why do we create something without destroying something?”

My junior colleagues seemed to profess regret (I don’t know the reason even now).

Recently I think there is no story like "KIKEN", "Golden time" in this season, "TORA-DORA" in several years ago.

in this real world.

These stories are just fictions.

Such a beautiful and cool juvenescence period doesn't happen conveniently.

But,

for example, trying steepish experiments, prizing beyond your reach (and dismissed), going abroad without using any languages,

"play the goat", "behave recklessly" and "run without thinking"

are good for you when you are old.

The reason why you are good is to do "history interpolation" of your life.

Added, the more you become old, the less your friends exist around you.

You don't worry about your friends who do some back research.

Your "history interpolation" becomes promoted "true" in your brain.

Congratulation!

In that event of the above, you can make a new story in your life, for example, a story to combine "suicidal attach of your first love" and "hydrogen chemical explosion".

Though whoever thinks that the story is a malicious "history interpolation", nobody checks the facts and stop it. Anyway you believe that the story is true.

-----

Unless you do "Best foot forward", like "play the goat", "behave recklessly" and "run without thinking", you cannot make any your history.

Naturally, the promoted facts also burn off.

It is not good for you.

-----

Thought I regard the person who said "you could buy your burden” as mere foolish,

"do your best" in your youth might becomes values after that.

It means, that it is valuable for you not to "do your best" but to live your life with using an illusion that you will make from your "history interpolation".

Though I think that playing game and watching animation is wonderful time for you, it is impossible to make your history by yourself.

All you have to do is to make “Real”. It is necessary to make it perfect.

-----

There are columns "personal history" in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper.

I think that it is the best sample of "history interpolation".

If someone would ask me "what are you doing in this matter?"

I could define myself that I am composed of just "history interpolation" Apparently.

The reasons are clear.

(1)They need money to make the system (even if it is outsourcing)

(2)The discrimination occurs because of IT digital divide.

(3)The ambiguity over where responsibility lies when some troubles happen.

"Sharing the patient pains or getting claims is better than thinking the annoying"

worth the cost correctly.

です。

-----

In addition, we shouldn't forget

(4)Cutting the numbers down dynamically

For example, the automatic ticket gate system of the railroad should have started earlier, but various oppositions (initial investment cost, labor union) had interfered with it for a long time.

"The system development" is surely something like destruction work for the vested interest, and it may be said that it is terrorism to destroy "the biggest happiness of the greatest multitude".

-----

I think that my occupation (system engineer) is like the wrath of Heaven, even if I understand those backgrounds.

My Stress becomes bigger because I can image a systems construction method.

"I want to send a cheer mail to Ebata-san, however I don't know how to write it."

"And Ebata-san seems to be troublesome if he becomes sour"

# I have never been given a cheer mail from women.

For such all of you, I am going to show you "a perfect cheer mail" that I had the other day, with the person's permission.

Thanks to this cheer mail, I am able to look back on my this year's activities.

====== Top of the cheer mail ======

Dear Mr. Tomoichi Ebata.

I give an email to you for the first time. I am "PN", an engineer in a machine maker.

Thank you for your introduction on your diary about my Google spreadsheet based on the Ebata-san's idea.

Indeed it is really honer that Ebata-san could give an evaluation called "superior person "to me. I am pleased when you can praise me more and more.

I have read all the column of Ebata-san's columns that ranges from "Numbers series" to "English series". I am surprised at the sharpness of all viewpoint, a flexible idea and the persuasive power of the claim, based on a minute investigation.

Especially, according to your numerical analysis trial using Fourier transform in the Numbers series to find the periodicity of number of the appearances of the diet article, I praised it highly with the engineer of the friend with saying "Ebata-san is really bright person"

I think that it is too difficult for ordinary persons to come to write the article, even if they know existence and the principle of the Fourier transform.

In addition, personal, about the articles of the entrance examination of junior daughter, I was moved about your idea of "the dual system with both a railroad and a private car", moreover I was impressed with deep love of father to your daughter heartily with doing try and error.

I will do my best every day to be able to approach the high place of Ebata-san.

It was a private affair, but, in fact, I moved from the design section to the research section in Machida the other day.

Possibly, in Odakyu Machida Station or Honmachida store out of Mongolia Chinese noodles with fried vegetables, you can see a scene that a good young man whose look is like young Colin Firth, turn a look a man who have resembled Kevin Costner, with all respect.

In this department, everyday my boss is scolding me with a sigh for the reasons of difference in state of things of the work and its level.

I regret that I have neglected to set my aim and break my way for my student and business period.

It is the end of the year now, and a cold day continues. I hope that Ebata-san also don't upset your health and have a good New Year.

I am looking forward to reading your column coming year.

====== Tail of the cheer mail ======

Everybody, have a good New Year.

(Continuation from yesterday)

I often write the following phases down at the top of mail,

- Although I am very sorry to have you use valuable holidays,

- I'm really sorry that my management is sloppy,

- I'm really sorry, I want to have only your one hour of the weekend,

- If you do not have the time, 2 or 3 lines text and freehand material are enough for me,

- I am lost without your help.

I can describe it as natural and normal, like as the above.

The work for me is just a "process", and in the first place, I'm not authorized (that is, "downhill" in the office) to allow people to move by command alone. In addition, I do not have pride.

Though I do not have a pride, I am angry with the "rudeness" behavior, and I remember it forever.

Aside from that.

-----

a manger who can have sense of shame of making their staff work on holiday or midnight.

a manager who can pull at the staff's heartstrings and try to flatter them like the above.

However, needless to say, even if the manager has the above qualifications, as a matter of society, it is important that whether or not those operations are within a reasonable range, (the highest judgment of Showa 43, 12 and 24 Chiyoda Maru affair).

I don't know that

"to order documents to be submitted on Monday morning at midnight on Friday."

"to order a difficult task that must take a considerable amount of time at the last working day of the year, and ask for a report of the results at the beginning working day of New Year."

is whether the reasonable is not. Finally, I think that we have to ask judicial judgment for each individual case.

-----

What I can say is,

"leaving such instructions by e-mail"

is a pretty declining act.

I, who am writing "crying" or "compliance" at the beginning of the mail,

is objectively clear that "I recognize that I issue orders even I know it is an unreasonable business order",

As a result, "I'm tightening my neck."

Today, a little thought, I tried google search with the following key.

"Just one day" "Ten thousand yen"

- Just uploading videos to YouTube, you could get 30,000 yen per day!

- You could get 20,000 yen, just doing "Good"

- How to earn 100,000 yen in 5 minutes a day with just a smartphone

- how to earn 10,000 yen a day by just leaving it alone

About 2,750,000 (2.7 million) cases were hit.

-----

The fact that there are 2.7 million such pages, give me a courage

"I can still keep doing what I want to do while still for the moment"

I hope that you will continue to kindly help me next year.

On this New Year's holiday vacation, I spend a lot of time on the process of migrating from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

I think that it is already about 30 hours to spend in total.

Every time, Microsoft is changing the interface, and it is annoying. If I change this to the image of the interface of Windows 7, I will have to keep doing this work endlessly on another personal computer.

Although it is unpleasant, I am working on unnecessary services, applications and display of Windows 10, and truncated (deleted, installed) them.

-----

Whether others may user a PC for more than 30 years like me, for many people, the task of "truncating" is fear.

"So what if the computer does not work?"

It is a matter of course to think.

In fact, I have had terrible things.

- In the morning, I deleted a software, the OS would not restart,

- In the afternoon, I read the web for repair,

- After the fixed time, I confirmed the activation of the OS,

- Late night, I finished returning the backup file to the original folder.

"Work 18 hours, zero productivity"

Repeating such ridiculous failures, an IT engineer grows up - is not it?

-----

As a matter of fact, what many people expect for a PC is (1) writing sentences, (2) drawing simple pictures, (3) sending mail, (4) watching the web.

Although some people may think that it is a "mottainai" to stop the possibility of PC's ability by such "branding", this is a limited human being.

私は、

I as an IT engineer, believe seriously that

"Personal computer did not have to evolve as much as 1 mm from Windows 95"

Set it aside,

I was glad yesterday, I was skipping in my parents house alone.

On Windows 10, Meadow (GNU Emacs 22.3.1) on Windows 7 just works by copying the entire folder. In addition, MinGW compiler also worked perfectly (although setting environment variables was necessary).

SKKIME is as you wrote in this.

So, software that can run without registering in the Windows registry is "Nice after all".

If these three can be moved, I can do anything later, for me (or I don't care).

- And, I am as usual.

-----

My father-in-law passed away, and my father passed away, In this year's parents house, neither Shimenawa nor Kagami-mochi is decorated (One article says that 50 days after funeral has no problem, but because it is troublesome for me to clean up)

Nevertheless, the next day will not come until I live today's day,

I live everyday like that way.

Everyone, Have a good year.

(Continuation from yesterday)

The "1984" type of smartphone-managed society has already been completed.

It seems that some people are worried that the nation controls the information of the people, but I think there is no problem.

Such a phase has already been completed.

-----

When we got a PC or smartphone,

when we no longer have questions about criminals being tracked and arrested by surveillance cameras,

we have implicitly permitted society to disclose our personal information.

This surveillance society is the one we have chosen.

And we cannot return to a society that does not assume PCs or smartphones.

-----

If we cannot return, why not start moving in a direction that we destroy the life of "molest" who commits criminal acts in public?

Public institutions (government, local government) cannot create such a system for "monitoring sex offenders" because of human rights issues.

In fact, what the police are doing is getting images of railroad companies, retail stores, parks, etc. to identify criminals (well, maybe you use tools).

If there is no public institution, we can move on our own.

In other words, it is the establishment of social wisdom that monitors dozens or hundreds of smartphones of persons who are performing molestation.

----

This is "collective violence" bearing the name of "justice."

"It was so interesting and scary"

The simulation of the Japanese government's response to a possible Taiwanese emergency was very realistic.

By the way, when we say "simulation", most people think it is computer simulation, and in fact, that is how it is described in the Wiki -- but this is not correct.

Simulation is "an attempt to recreate a hypothetical situation and respond to it in a way that has not been done in reality".

The simulation in this program was "Taiwan Emergency".

People with experience in security-related legislation, former senior officers of the Self-Defense Forces, and current members of the Diet played the roles of the Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Chief Cabinet Secretary.

The former top official of the Self-Defense Forces has prepared several hypothetical scenarios of a Taiwanese contingency, which were delivered to the situation in real time, and the cabinet members discussed and made decisions on the spot.

There are (as I understand it) two conditions for this simulation

(1) While adhering to the principle of "diplomacy for peaceful resolution through dialogue," invoke the right of self-defense in the event of an emergency.

(2) However, the use of force and other actions (evacuation of residents) must be carried out in accordance with existing laws.

The first stage of the scenario was that an independent president would be born in Taiwan → Chinese forces would begin assault and landing drills + land troops would be assembled in the coastal areas.

If China attacks the U.S. military, Japan will be able to enter a combat situation through the "right of collective self-defense".

Now, the question is, at what point do the conditions for triggering "collective self-defense" come into play?

When the U.S. military prepares for battle? When U.S. forces are under attack? When the U.S. military launches a counterattack? When the US forces request the SDF? It is natural to think that there is a time lag between these activation times.

So, the SDF has a plausible argument that since time is needed to move the SDF, joint operations with the U.S. military will be meaningless unless it is clear at what stage the right of collective self-defense can be activated.

-----

As an amateur like me, I apt to think

"Why don't they just move the Self-Defense Forces when the military exercises by the Chinese military start?"

But the Self-Defense Forces is an organization that can only operate under the law -- well, all law-abiding nations under civilian control operate that way, though.

The SDF is tasked with the defense of our country.

From a legal standpoint, the correct stance is to say, 'I don't care what happens to Taiwan.

Because Taiwan is not a military ally of Japan.

Since the right of collective self-defense is activated only when "U.S. forces" are involved, the SDF cannot move even a millimeter when U.S. forces are not doing anything, however,

The real feeling on the ground is that the right of collective self-defense is meaningless.

And this case is also consistent with our common sense in our daily lives.

For example, in a company, if you are working on a project and you don't start working on it until it is approved by the executives, the project will not work.

The normal way of operating a project is to prepare the project until it is just about ready to move, and then wait for approval when it is ready.

This is not to say that the Diet was incompetent.

The use cases of the right of procedural self-defense were discussed in the "Korean Peninsula Emergency" and "Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz".

The "Taiwan contingency" was not in the scope at that time.

-----

The second stage of the scenario was the "blockade of the sea around Yonaguni Island by the Chinese military + launch of an attack on the Taiwanese mainland.

At this stage, joint operations with the U.S. military will become possible, and of course, the Chinese military will also be able to attack the Japanese mainland.

The SDF will not be able to fulfill its mission of self-defense if it does not have a complete interception system in place against an attack from the Chinese military on the Japanese mainland.

Furthermore, they found out that there is "no law" to support the SDF in evacuating residents in response to such a military attack, even though the law must be applied to evacuate residents.

"Why don't they just evacuate them based on the Disaster Relief Act?"

And, like me, some people in ministerial roles thought that this was an unreasonable interpretation of the law.

It was very impressive to see a person playing the role of a cabinet minister, opening a collection of legal texts and discussing them.

I was watching the program, muttering, "I know that feeling".

-----

Conclusion.

I wrote here that I have no idea about the current approach to "programmatic thinking (tekishiko-) education" in programming education.

Perhaps one of the ways to do this is through education using simulations like this one, I think.

However, I also think that this "simulation education" will be difficult to create the subject matter and the method (human or computer) to judge the situation.

"If you can brainwash me(Ebata) properly, I will be a very strong ally."

This year, I could realize the phrase deeply.

-----

This year I will be working on a study of a thing called "social relational capital".

It is also known as Social Capital.

Social relational capital is a term that refers to the "trust" we have in others, the "norm of reciprocity" expressed in terms such as "give-an d-take, and the "network" that is the bond between people. It produces a 'collective cooperation' that is difficult to appreciate in the marketplace.(*)

Simply put, "social capital" is "neighborhood associations," "Bon dances," and "rice cake pounding contests.

-----

Now that I think about it, I had mentioned this "social relational capital" in my "neighborhood association" talk.

However, I could not imagine myself giving a presentation in front of many university students, saying, "To put it bluntly, 'social relational capital' means 'neighborhood associations,' 'Bon dances,' and 'rice cake pounding contests'.

-----

To begin with, I have not been actively involved in "social relational capital" at all, even if it exists.

In particular, I have criticized the "neighborhood associations" (by old people) radically.

So when I told my wife about this (the research I'm working on), she said

"Is there anyone more unsuited to this field of research (social relational capital) than you are?"

Still -- if the company orders me to do so, I must investigate, examine the mechanism, and do research on how we can turn this into an "economy", even if it is "social relational capital".

Because I am just a businessman.

The quickest way to make myself believe something I don't believe is to "put myself in a situation where I am driven to do so.

-----

"If you can brainwash me properly, I will be a very strong ally."

I would like to tell the religious organizations and their members with my greatest level of criticism and condemnation this year.

If I had to pick the biggest incident of the year, I would say that I became depressed.

I have written a lot about this in my diary, so I will not explain.

Anyway, the phrase I now hate the most is,

"If you are willing to die, you can do anything."

And I am deeply offended by the fact that there are so many low-life people in this world who spout phrases like this without a second thought, who do not understand even a millimeter of the true nature of this disease.

I want to yell at them with the biggest and loudest voice I can muster (including my own in the past), "There are situations in this world where it feels 'absolutely cheaper to choose the process of dying than to continue living,' and the diseases those situations create."

OK. Please remember that I, a "calculation geek," drew this conclusion based on my results and rigorous calculations.

I am also shocked at how easy it is in today's society to "create such a situation" or "get involved in such a situation."

I want to make all the people in the world understand, by force (even if I have to beat them), this desperate fear of "not being able to move my body," even though I have something to do in front of me and I know how to do it all.

-----

This year, I understood at the soul level that suicide caused by depression occurs entirely independently of the person's intentions, abilities, qualities, experiences, and everything else.

This was a tremendously powerful experience and probably the most potent weapon I will ever have.

-----

Also, this "depression" is no good, no matter how much "understanding" there is around you. All of you are helpless. No one's words can reach my ears when I am in this state.

What saved me this time was my wife's "compulsion"...or rather, "ability to do it," as she repeatedly told me, "Tell your boss at work what's going on. She repeatedly told me, "I don't care what the outcome of the situation is.

Words like 'it seems hard' and 'it seems tough' did not affect me (at least on me).

The only way to "help" is to "physically help."

Being 'in touch with their feelings' does not mean 'helping.'

-----

One example.

Even If you say to someone about to fall off a cliff, "Hang in there," that person will eventually fall off the cliff.

Only when you get to the point of "bringing the rope and pulling them up" can you say that you have "saved" him.
