Before the day of my daughter's physical exam, she asked me the question about both uniform motion and uniform accelerated motion.

"O.K. It is not difficult about the study. You can understand it easily using the concept of "death-leap""

I answered.

-----

Ebata:"When a fall accident happens at a building, there is an easy tip to judge whether it is just an accident or a suicide. The tips are a distance between building and point of fall, and scratches of body."

Daughter:"I am sorry but I cannot understand...."

Ebata:"Could you know that both the speed and the distance is going to be zero at the case of a free fall?"

Daughter:"Yes."

Ebata:"Even if we find some distance, the body might collide with window frames or others of the building. So the body should remain some scratches.

Daughter:"I see."

Ebata:"However, in case of suicide, the person tries to jump in air. So the body keeps the uniform motion until reaching the ground.

Daughter:"O.K."

Ebata:"In this case, the distance is far from the building and, of course, no scratches of body happen.

Ebata:「In the nutshell, in order to understand uniform motion and uniform accelerated motion, it is relatively easy to look on the object as a person.

-----

After that, I heard that she got full score of the exam, (maybe for the first time in her life).

One day I thoroughly enjoyed "Hokkyoku-ramen" after a long absence.

I could get a new book I wait and enjoy "reading alone dinner" at the corner (slightly tight), and went back home.

I am a "Hokkyoku-ramen master" to be generally accepted.

I cannot dare cause a tragic incident.

Still without neglecting caution, I tried to "held out" before leaving the wicket of the last station.

"It is O.K."

I was convinced of security and just left the wicket.

-----

When I felt the sign of the first impact, I was less that 1km from the station, beyond long stairs.

I felt a dim dull pain in the abdomen.

But, this was not virtually in the caution system with a smaller thing as an aftershock.

However, the second pain was coming after ten feet walking.

I thought this was not good symptom even the pain was not serious.

Now, regardless of our hope, we are Microsoft's "Windows OS" and "Office" slaves...I mean "users".

In the proverb dictionary, in the explanation of "the army if you win", they have to use an example, "Wining story of Microsoft Corporation", instead of the shogunate at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate and the new government army.

By the way, in this column, I wrote a little about "Nash equilibrium" and "Pareto optimal".

Many of us have been forced to upgrade our version by Microsoft Corporation, with the threatening phrase "We do not support anymore" OS and Office", though even we have finally got used to OS and Office over the years.

We use the present Windows OS to reach the so-called "Nash equilibrium", and the world is warm, cozy.

However, Microsoft breaks this Nash equilibrium, and try to be reaching Pareto optimal, as a means of "upgrading + halting support", however I am afraid that this is a Ultra Super good faith for the company.

I do not "hate" to participate in parties or ceremonies, but I am sorry that "I'm not much enjoyable".

I was not so long ago, however this my propensity seems to become noticeable as I grow older.

Even at the reception of academic societies, after eating what I should eat, and drinking what I should drink, I will leave the venue with the awkwardness (pretending to go to the toilet).

Of course I understand that it is important to meet unknown people at the party, and to have a good conversation.

It is clear that humans who neglect these activities, are disadvantageous in all phases of their life, from love, marriage, work, to promotion.

(Continuation from yesterday)

By the way

"Manuals" and "How-to books" mislead readers by omitting the entire process of failure to success.

Some of them are malicious and lead to "the misunderstanding".

As a general rule, I do not buy books whose titles include "Easy", "Easy", "Everyone", or "Soon".

However, I am also fascinated by these words, so I will go to the bookstore and browse through it.

In rare cases, even books that contain these words, I come to like them.

This is what is called "compatibility".

In this case, I try to remember the "author" of the book, not the "title" of the book.

In recent home appliances, in addition to the usual manual, one sheet of double-sided printing called "Easy Manual" is added.

But I don't think this is enough.

I want a QR code printed on the home appliance, and I want to access the video site from my smartphone.

Of course, the video length must be "within 30 seconds".

The person who purchased the product is not interested in the product specifications and know-how, but simply want to use the product.

―― with "0 times" failure

Well, I can't refute it, "Can anyone use "QR code","smartphone", and "video site easily ?"

This is next my impression after watching episode 12(final) of My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong,As I Expected Final"

-----

By the way, I forgot to say,

The most important phrase in this final episode is.

"Was there a law that you shouldn't love someone who has a boyfriend ?"

です。

それと

In addition,

"There's no way those two are going to last"

This consideration also has a considerable impact. To be honest, I doubt the actual age of her.

-----

As far as I know, cases of teenage love that have lasted for long periods is extreme rare. -- e.g., ending in marriage.

In addition, while the romantic coherent time for "messy people" is "short",

The love coherent time between "messy humans" is "terribly short".

I am convinced that this hero and heroine catastrophe (the first one) occurs while in high school, and

That's why the possible strategy of the other heroine is clear.

"Maintaining friendships that won't break up.

She chose a really clever strategy based on a long-term view.

-----

In my case,

even if I hear her boyfriend bragging and complaining about it,

even if she reported her matchmaking to me.

even if she says no to my proposal,

Nevertheless, I adopted the strategy of keeping the position of "friend" -- that's all.

-----

Of course, you can't be "single-minded love" in such a strategy.

This is because love is an energy-consuming behavior, and "output value x output time" is a constant value.

Hence, 100% "single-mindedness" is not a good fit for this strategy.

So, "0.7-mindedness" or "0.5-mindedness" will be better than "single-mindedness".

Other energy can be allocated to "hobbies" or "work" for the time being, like portfolio.

And people who are "single-minded" tend to get taken advantage of in a good way (such as the so-called "Mr. Keeper").

On the other hand, keep in mind that this strategy is also about "daring to act (or appear to act) in that role (Mr. Keep)

-----

Well, the biggest difficulty with this strategy is that you have to measure "love not being fulfilled" in your plan from the beginning.

One of the biggest barriers is the acceptance of this probability-based relationship strategy by teenagers -- and that's the biggest barrier.

This weekend I was supposed to be working on the structure of my new book, but I found myself struggling with docker.

I tried to reproduce it in an environment that worked three years ago, but it "didn't work".

So I tried to find out why it didn't work, and found that only about two people in the world had encountered the same problem.

(To be precise, "the number of people posting that trouble on the Internet is two.)

The best thing to do when encountering such a problem is to "give up".

This is because it consumes an enormous amount of time and has a high probability of not being resolved.

If it is your "job," you may not be able to escape. However, if it is a "pastime" or a "hobby," it is essential to "escape" as soon as possible.

-----

However, there is a psychological effect that interferes with this rational behavior -- it's called "sunk cost".

Sunk cost is the cost of not being able to recover an investment.

The sunk cost effect refers to the fact that the effort, money, time, etc. spent will affect future decision making -- the inability to exit while continuing to incur a deficit.

-----

The most common sunk costs are "exam wasters" and "qualification wasters".

"If you're an unsuccessful comedian, it's your own fault. However, "The cost of maintaining a fast breeder reactor is said to be 55 million yen per day, and the cost of decommissioning it is 150 billion yen.

Of course, they have been funded by our blood tax.

Today, I will not talk about the pros and cons of these.

However, if we were politicians, we can imagine how scary it would be to make the decision to "throw away" something that has cost us so much.

And, well, frankly speaking, researchers can be called a "sunk cost machine".

-----

So, even if it is in the category of "entertainment" or "hobby", my existence itself is a "sunk cost" as I lose time on weekends.

The other day, the movie "The Ten Commandments" was broadcast on BS, and I recorded it.

Ebata: "I recorded 'The Ten Commandments' for you to watch if you are interested."

Wife: "Hmmm, not interested."

Ebata: "It's easier to understand than reading the Old Testament."

Wife: "Why do I have to understand the Old Testament?"

I thought, "Sure, that's right," and I agreed.

I thought "Japanese mythology" would be the first thing a Japanese person would think of, but then I thought about it and said, "No, no, not really, we don't even need that either."

I wondered what the benefits of knowing the contents of the Old Testament would be, and I thought that if limited to current issues, it would only improve the outlook on the "Palestinian problem."

-----

I find the "New Testament" more interesting than the "Old Testament".

However, reading the "New Testament" all the way through is unnecessary. It is enough to connect the contents of the New Testament with related anime, movies, and comics in bits and pieces.

To begin with, the contents of the "New Testament" were decided by the editorial council (Council of Nicea) 300 years after the death of Jesus of Nazareth through discussion and voting by the various denominations.

The New Testament editorial meeting was essentially the same as the meeting that decided on a new manga series for Shonen Jump or decided to discontinue the series.

When I think about it, Protestant Christianity and its "biblical supremacy" that began with Luther's Reformation doesn't hit me either.

"How can a book (the New Testament) compiled by a conference of men be the "Word of God"?"

Not to mention Catholic Christianity.

By the way, I know that Buddhist sects are the same as doujinshi circles.

Of course, I respect the activities of the Comic Circle so much that I appreciate all the religions of the world -- except for the idiotic cult groups and fundamentalists -- as well.

If you ask, 'Then is "theology" a meaningless discipline?' it seems that it is not.

"Theology" seems to be a philosophy, a logic, a jurisprudence, and, depending on one's point of view, a science or a mathematical (proof of) science.

If I have a next life, I would like to study "theology" (this life seems a bit too busy for me).

We don't need "Old Testament," "New Testament," or "Japanese mythology.

Therefore, you may pass through today's diary.
