Recently, I write the English translations for my daily column, but I have deep reasons for this my actions.

The reason is going to open to my serialized column of 「Not loved by English」at the 16th this month.

By the way, the above criticize of this putting down with English sentences, become more and more burned day by day.

The other day I asked the editor office to offer a new column about these problems, because they were very terrible, and more over, they were interesting.

"Mr.Ebata. You are "REA-EI". You live in another world that differs from our "POR-EI" world.

Um? What does "REA-EI", "POR-EI" stand for?

"REA-EI" stands for "Real English", that means the persons who are really loved by English. The other hand, "POR-EI" is "Poor English". That is "US". We can use really poor English only.

That is your misunderstanding. I am not "REA-EI" but "POR-EI" truly.

That's it, Mr.Ebata. The persons of "REA-EI" incline to cling to an idea that "I am POR-EI". And I want the person to be blasted perfectly, and disgust us "POR-EI".

I was shocked to hear his talk, feeling identity crisis.

How do I express the collapse of my spirit?

For example, "In fact, I am a son of His Majesty the Emperor, and a prince who is the first in the succession line"

The above story including, I want to write the new column about a full of "REA-EI", "POR-EI".

-----

How do you like to read the column?

Yes. I want to write it down soon too.

A few days ago, I watched the TV program "Expanding Zero-reading. What happens in Japanese" in NHK docutainment.

In conclusion, it was an ordinal story "No reading, no logical thinking".

"Dumb"

I changed the TV channel soon.

-----

Man:" I haven't read a book for one year"

Woman: "One book each for three years"

I think that their phrases are true, and it is also right that the reason is to be using smart phones.

I am a person who robs them of their reading time (and writing this diary).

The other day, I wrote that reading is a kind of entertainment, so it is natural that they lose the time to read.

-----

What I was annoyed that the program tried to lead a conclusion "No reading, no logical thinking".

To tell you the truth,

Many people cannot think something logically, even if they read a lot of book.

The program tried an experiment that dividing students who read frequently from students who don't read firstly, make both students write a report. Finally, the program concluded "Students who often read books can make a local report".

I am very sorry that there is absolutely no relationship between logical-thinking/reporting and reading habit.

"Being logical" is going to realize by the logical-thinking and technical writing trainings and the strong intention to think logically.

If you think that you make you a logical person by reading books only, I am going to thunder out

"Don't be spoiled!"

I think "to say hello to your neighborhood" or "to talk to the opposite sex of the next seat" probably are high priority than to connect on the net space.

I finished reading "Mitsuhide's theorem" borrowed from the library earlier.

"It was really interesting"

A historical novel of the life of "Akechi Mitsuhide", including probability theory, Baise theorem, and Monty Hall problem. There is no reason why I will not read this book.

When I found it at a bookstore, I tried to buy it. However I have much money to buy it, and no space to place it in my room.

Well, I forgot it. So when I found it on the shelf in the library, I was very happy.

-----

Without using mathematical terms at all, I was astonished in the scene where the monk of the character talks about "posterior probability" to Oda Nobunaga,

Despite being a historical novel of "Akechi Mitsuhide", it was "brilliant" to omit all the scenes of "Honnoji Incident".

Especially, the part in the final chapter to solve the mystery of "Honnoji Incident" from the view point of Mitsuhide's theorem is a really masterpiece.

However, I think that "It may be easy for many readers to understand by using drawings,", however I also think that it might be "aesthetics of novel" ,not to dare to do it.

-----

This novel's "Monty Hole problem" might teach us that

If a situation changes, do something and change the current state."

(Continuation from yesterday)

I like the quiz program whose title is "Be new to Dr.Hayashi" and watch it.

This program often make a feature of "new diet method"

The "new diet method" that a professor at some college seems to invents, is going to be opened with the result of experimental trial.

Previously, I tried to search the paper of the new method, which he/she might have completed their dissertation. Unfortunately, I have never found the paper before. Of course my research might be not incomplete.

However, it is a new diet method that has already been opened by administrative mass media to public people.

If so, at the homepage of the program, it is natural that the press has a responsibility to open the information of experimental environment, person being tested, method of experiment and results using numbers.

Do I say something wrong ? (My daughters say to me "Watch the TV quietly")

-----

I would like to cooperate by all means.

I will logically guide the hypothesis of that diet method by formulas, laws, and computers, free of charge.

If they don't mind, I will be "subject" and do "replicate".

For not only me, but also the college professor and everyone, I am convinced that everyone is going to be "win-win-win"

Furthermore, if the result of that replication is "good", I will introduce the theory and result extensively in my works.

We are looking forward to the contact from the university teacher or program staff.

-----

One more thing, I have a "thing" that I have been worried for a long time.

Dr.Hayashi, who has much knowledge, wonderful logical thinking, and presentation ability,

"He will not comment at all about diet issues"

This may also be my overlook or mistake.

I am not drinking now.

However, once you read this, you will understand that my way I drank at the drinking party was not sloppy.

However,

- Drunk customers fall from the platform of the station and disrupt the diagram

- Vomitus scattered in the passage causes stagnation in human flow

That is very annoying.

Economic loss is not a hamper.

I'm exhausted when I get home, so I really want you to take it.

-----

Regarding driving a car, "Don't ride after drinking" is a serious crime subject to criminal punishment by just detecting it, regardless of the occurrence of a traffic accident. (In a typical company, disciplinary dismissal will occur before conviction).

So, as a suggestion, how about expanding “Do not ride after drinking” to trains, buses and taxis?

If we do this, the food industry is devastated.

The culture of "a drinking party" will end suddenly.

However, the lodging industry may be revitalized.

It's interesting when it comes to saying that "a drinking party accompanies accommodation".

It may also help increase the share of the tourism and alcohol industries.

However, this may be just moving the problem to another location.

If we are thorough up to this point, an accommodation facility that says "do not come after drinking" may also appear.

I have already told you that it would be really bad to do something like the Prohibition Law.

-----

However, if only one drunk customer affects thousands of traffic infrastructure users, they can be regulated, I think.

It's difficult to adjust this.

It is naturally unknown for what reason I will die in the future.

However, at this point, I can name a few that have a high probability.

"Swallowing pneumonia"

です。

-----

In the past year, there has been a large number of cases of aspiration, which is the accidental ingestion of saliva or food into the trachea.

In terms of frequency, 100% within two to three days.

And the duration of aspiration is becoming shorter and shorter.

When food or other substances enter the trachea, the reflex function to expel the foreign substance from the trachea is usually activated by choked.

Aspiration pneumonia refers to inflammation in the lungs caused by foreign substances that could not be expelled due to the slowing down of this function and remain in the lungs.

It is caused by a decrease in the swallowing function of food due to weakening of the chewing strength and the muscles that move the tongue as a result of aging.

Although I am not yet in a position to be included in the category of the elderly, I can still feel the decline of functions due to aging every day.

-----

No matter which generation you are, you will feel yourself aging.

Even my daughters (a college student and a high school student) are saying that they are getting older.

Well, I have said similar things in my 30's and 40's.

Aging is a natural phenomenon.

There are two patterns of feeling that you are getting old.

(2)"Day by day, step by step"

"Aspiration" fits into the pattern described in the (2) above.

The drama "Delicious School Lunch" is so funny -- it's already crazy funny. I'm laughing so hard.

In connection with the movie "Samurai Sensei," I looked for a movie starring actor Hayato Ichihara, and this "Delicious School Lunch" came up immediately.

In any case, the concept is amazing.

A teacher who says, "I love school lunches. It's no exaggeration to say that I come to school for the lunches.

It is no longer an exaggeration to say that this is a new standard for gourmet dramas and a paradigm shift in the image of teachers.

This weekend, I watched Season 1, the movie, and Season 2 all at once, which is an unusual way to get hooked.

-----

When we talk about "school lunches" in the Ebata household, it is interesting to see that there is a generation gap, and of course, regional differences even within the same generation.

I didn't have a chance to eat the "rice", but my wife seemed to eat it as usual.

I was also surprised that I did not share the concept of "soft noodles" with my daughters.

Looking back, I used to get excited on days when "Curry Noodles" and "Oboro Miso Noodles" were delivered

On the other hand, I was less excited about the raisin bread (my wife said she was more excited).

On the other hand, thanks to school lunches, I learned (1) "Happousai" are delicious at "Gyoza no Ohsho" that , and (2) there are truly delicious breads in the world at "HOKUO"

Looking back, I think school lunches were the "key sentences" in English education, the "solutions to two-dimensional equations" in mathematics education, and played the role of "national standards" for the food culture of the Japanese people.

Aside from that.

-----

I've had enough of tedious human relationship dramas such as internal factional struggles, romantic relationships, and emotional reunions.

"I live my life as a teacher only for my own desire (to eat school lunch)"

"Students, schools, and colleagues are only means to that end."

What a refreshing way to live.

What we lack today is the spirit of selfishness that says, "As long as I am good, I don't care about anything else".

In this drama, morals, relationships, common sense, and other such things are all just noise.

In addition, the setting is wonderful, as the purpose behind the noise is "school lunch," something that can be scoped out on a daily basis.

We don't need to go out of our way to set goals that are hard to obtain.

This drama also gives us the courage to say, 'We can find things that make us happy in our daily lives".

-----

So I recommend you to watch "Delicious School Lunch".

If you think you haven't laughed in a while, this is a good place to start.

This is a cheat sheet for an English presentation by an engineer who doesn't love English.

I think -- this is a typical style when we Japanese fight using English.

つまり

That means,

"Don't be cool"

I was honestly surprised to see my second daughter grumbling,

'I don't have a boyfriend to spend Christmas with.'

I had selfishly assumed that such a paradigm had long since "ended."

-----

About 20 years ago, I released several columns about Christmas.

The following column discusses the significance of spending time with the opposite sex at Christmas.

The following column is a review comment from a firm's senior member regarding the above column.

In addition, two years after this, I also released a diary criticizing the "instrumentalization of Christmas."

In any case, it was undeniable that I was highly interested in Christmas.

-----

Now, 30 years later, I cannot hide my amazement that the paradigm has not changed.

I am deeply aware that the lament (or curse) that "there is no one of the boyfriends or girlfriends to spend Christmas with" will probably be passed on for the next 100 years or more.
