Two quater of year ago, the animation "Servant x Service" has been broadcasting. That animation is based on Ms. Karino Takatsu's four-panel cartoon

With my wife's permission, we whole family, kept watching the animation every week. But my wife often got angry saying,

Don't Play at workplace! Work earnestly!

-----

Now, the animation "Golden Time" is broadcasting. That animation is based on Ms. Yuyuko Takemiya's novel.

With my wife's permission too , we whole family, are watching the animation every week. But I often get angry saying,

Don't Play at college! Study earnestly!

-----

My wife, she had been buried under office counter work in a bank, and I has been a self-supporting student during college life.

Both of us has been having what we can never afford.

"The theme seems to be dangerous"

My wife told me.

I can agree with her. It should be dangerous.

In order to live the calm life, it is said that we never touch with "politics", "baseball" and "love affaire for others".

In addition, there are several political bodies in the present, and they don't seem to deny "violent revolution".

The correct answer is to dance and sing all weathers, not to being in these issues.

-----

However I feel regret for erasing this era in my memory.

I think that the topics of this era become interesting if we can dig them, we could find something exciting comparing the era and the present.

So, I always think

"Whoever, wherever try to do, except for me

and, I pass my days.

I had used "VMware", one of virtual machine(VM) software before more than ten years.

I predicted that "in the near future, we are going to take out not a client but a sever." and it will be realized indeed.

Now I use a VM software, that name is "VirtualBox" presented by Oracle Co.. The software can export and import a guest OS with ease unbelievably.

We can take out a whole OS system including softwares, so we don't have to worry about compatibility of hardware and device driver problems.

According to the outsourcing software development, we are asking not program codes but Guest OS including the codes, absolutely.

Because, we don't care how many Guest OSs are included in a PC server, now.

-----

Yes I know well. Most people cannot understand what Ebata is writing in the above.

Simply speaking,

"It becomes natural in the IT world that residents in a same combo are likely to never say one word in their life"

The Guest OS is going to not be visited by any clients, and just waiting a client as long as their life. No one knows them and just live their life alone.

No-no, I am almost close to tears when writing today's diary with grief.

-----

In conclusion, this diary has a luck of efforts to be understood by reader at all. These things can happen.

I think I can use "personal computer" like a fish in the water.

I can easily create sentences and images and draw illustrations while listening to music, as I thought.

However, I am like a fish, on a fishing boat when using a smartphone.

It is likely that nothing I can do but to snatch on the ship uglily.

This difference means that my daily routines (the writing of reports and patent specifications is everyday) and environments that I have to repair my personal computer daily. It has nothing to do with my "effort".

On the other hand, since I can not assume the future where smartphones disappear, I have to go out with a smartphone, even if I am ugly.

I am a fish, and I have been in the water, called "PC", longer compared with the normal person. That's all.

-----

So, I dislike a person who boasts of his ability to nurture the skills developed in the period "in the water".

- A bureaucrat or a politician who has been involved in politics, and and makes a fool of people who runs populism.

I am pretty serious.

"Ashitano Joe(Joe for tomorrow)", a masterpiece manga shows the detailed scenes of boxer's loss of weight beyond our imaginations.

"Hajime no Ippo(A first step at the beginning)", a a masterpiece manga shows the boxer's precise intelligent battles (Especially, about "energy optimal allocation" problem)

They shows not "unintelligent guts" but "sophisticated system control" that makes both human mentality and physics quantify, and

"they excite me beyond bearing, as a engineer who have engaged in "control system".

So, I show my respect for all athletes, especially "boxers"

I also know that many boxers are intelligent, cool and polite (and they should act the reverse because of their business).

I can not really like a boxer who damage the "respect", who do rough behavior, ignorant remarks without humility

-----

I understand that it is nonsense to discuss both salaryman's loss of "annual general checkup" and boxer weight loss identically.

Nevertheless, when we are days before the "annual general checkup", we will make an effort as an amateur to avoid the following.(And we know it comes to be useless)

- "Donadna" as described yesterday,

- poor numerical values that are pointed out from doctors

- restraint on alcohol and nicotine

Before my father's retirement, he was the president of a small woodworking company.

The main job is a major subcontractor that is making furniture for installation in facilities such as business hotels and schools, and installing them.

As his son, when I was 14 years old, I climbed the furniture with an electric screwdriver for installation and screwed wood screws.

-----

There were two types of field personnel at the site.

For these subcontractors like us, they are “humans who command majesticly” and “people who treat them politely”.

I was a teenager at the time,

for the former person, I did "the job that was told"

for the latter person, I did "the job that was more than what I was told"

"Professional professionalism for any human being"

I didn't have tha above professional policy.

And I haven't had it until now.

This is because a person who makes them great is "uncomfortable" for me.

I don't want to give "the job that was more than what I was told" to the person.

In the professional world, it is valuable to be able to create added value that goes beyond money.

But I don't feel the need to give the “value” that I create, to those who take the attitude of looking down on people.

(I looked into it for a while, I had already wrote the same thing before)

-----

However, I think that "a person who makes them great" has no intention to do it.

I know well that “people who I don't like at work"are often not "people who I don't like in a world unrelated to work (such as a social relationship)"

However, we must form relationships in a closed world.

So, "people who I don't like in a world unrelated to work" is meaningless.

For example, my column states "something great" without exception.

I am convinced that the number of people who feel pleasant and unpleasant is almost same.

-----

As far as I can see, it seems that the "person who is doing great" in the organization is getting ahead.

It is reasonable that a person who thinks career advancement as "value" is to "make them great".

And career advancement is generally valuable-such as organizational decision making (power) and monetary value (income).

-----

However, the disadvantages of "being great" by "being great" are hard to see, but there are definitely.

For example, like me

"Don't get in touch with him. It will be terrible"

In the long run, it will be a considerable disadvantage, even if you pass an accessory that says the shadow to the enemy.

I just finished a conference call and went down to the living room, and my wife, who was in the kitchen, told me.

"You've got a hell of a wicked smile on your face."

Well, a "meeting" is a kind of battle game.

It is a "bargaining game" with a good balance of my private opinion and public stance, mixed with laughter and jokes.

Naturally, psychological stress also occurs to a certain extent.

-----

However, there are a lot of people who can observe my expression right after the meeting was over --

"a hell of a wicked smile on your face"

The only person who can tell you this directly is my family.

I could say, that this is also "discovered" by working remotely.

There seems to be a lot of fuss about "moe characters" these days -- but I don't want to get involved in anything strange, so I'll keep quiet.

When I finish writing a column, I start illustrating it, which for me is like a "reward" for myself.

Well, I don't expect anyone to be interested in my illustrations.

In fact, there is no way that something that I draw with a feeling of "reward for myself" becomes great.

And, as my second daughter said, "Your illustrations look like something we've seen somewhere else," which, unfortunately, I agree with.

-----

For me, it's not so much 'drawing is fun' as it is 'being able to use a variety of techniques' with drawing software (I use SAI).

- I just want to cut this part out.

- I'd like to make this character bright a little.

- In this picture, I want to make it a little more black and white.

I like the feeling of being able to do things like that in a snap with draw software.

I may be surprised to find that a wrong operation can produce effects that I never expected.

- It's also interesting to pose myself, take a video, and create an illustration from the captured images.

- It's also fun to take a male character and transform it into a female character.

However, this is just a matter of "technology".

I have never considered my work to be a "work of art".

-----

I am grateful to IT (computers) for making it possible for an engineer like me, who has no artistic talent, to draw illustrations.

Ever since I started illustrating with drawing software, I have had a deep respect for not only art in general, but also for anime and what is often referred to as "moe" art, and its creators.

There seems to be a lot of fuss about "moe characters" these days -- but I don't want to get involved in anything strange, so I'll keep quiet.

However, I often wonder "Is there any respect for the creator there?

Yesterday, in the middle of the World Cup match between Japan and Germany, I received a call from a junior colleague of mine to review my column.

He is a soccer fan, so to speak, so I asked him, 'For What?', I wondered.

I told him, "You won't be able to concentrate on watching the game, so you can review it later," but he said, "In a tense situation like this, I feel more comfortable talking to other people".

Well, sometimes the response to the review did not come back for a minute or so.

-----

I sometimes think that for soccer fans, watching such a sweaty game in their hands must be 'a kind of torture.

However, I believe that the more one understands soccer in detail, the more one can look at the whole game from a bird's eye view and see its strengths as well as its weaknesses, and hence the more frustrating it can be.

I only have to shout out my admiration for an athlete's fine play, so the psychological load is much smaller than for someone who can see the whole picture.

-----

Writing this story reminded me of--

One of my American friends whom I met during my assignment in the U.S. said that when he stayed in Japan for several years, he never thought about learning Japanese perfectly.

He was a capable man, and I wondered, and asked him why, and he said

"To maintain peace of mind while in Japan by not understanding Japanese"

Well, I was impressed with that way of thinking.

-----

When I came down to the living room at the end of the Japan-Germany game, my wife was crying in front of the TV.

I was happy to see my wife happy.
