私は、今、交通システムに関する研究を担当しています。

Now I am studying about transportation systems.

その中には、自動車の話が入っているのですが、別段、自動車そのものが好きという訳でもありません。

Of course, the system includes car vehicle as the element, I am not so interested in car vehicle itself.

どのくらい興味がないかというと、

For example, I said the words

「ホンダ社のカローラ」

"Carolla of Honda Co."

という言葉が出てくるくらいです。

デザイン、内装、ブランド、何も興味ありません。

I am uninterested in design, interior, brand of cars.

ただ、自動車エンジンメカニズム、車載端末システム、車内ネットワーク、自動運転アルゴリズムなど、は凄く興味があります。

However I am strongly excited to know engine mechanism, in-vehicle terminal, network in car, and automatic vehicle operation.

つまり、視認できるものには興味がないのですが、その中身には凄く興味があるのです。

In short, I am not curious about visible aspects, but something invisible.
