If I try to define "fogy", it is

(A) An elderly person with authority in an organization

(B)issues an order that is disadvantageous to the organization

If you ask me to give examples of this "fogy" in an organization, I can mention the following three immediately.

(1) If there are few participants in the event that he/she has planned, he/she will hit their subordinates

(2) He/She force subordinates to technology that has been disturbed in the industry but has not yet proved effective

(3) He/She creates a new system or equipment with suspicious effectiveness and count it as their own outcome

There are a lot of other things, but basically, it is "a heartfelt, annoying thing" to members of the organization. So we think that

"If he/she do nothing, it is the biggest benefit to the organization"

However, I can not say that to the powers of the organization.

There is also a certain effect in the "fogy".

It is a fact that "things will be moved" (even while giving a great deal of trouble to the organization) by the freakish idea of "fogy".

And "things will be moved" has an economic profit, regardless of its effect.

Basically, humans are bothersome. so if you do not trigger even such "fogy events", you will not be able to get out of existing routine work.

However, the success rate of the "fogy event" is extremely low.

There are gaps in the target market generation (that is, "nonsense"). In addition to, as shown in the above (1) to (3), it is because they are not sweating yourself.

However, I do not blame "the elderly with power".

Rather I advocate them.

Because it is correct that elderly with power is "not given the opportunity to sweat on their own".

If the elderly with power, adheres to a particular event or technology, or is stuck in the specified field, they will not be able to manage the organization.

This will be a problem for the organization.

In addition, the elderly can not hear the opinion of the young person honestly, and the young person does not have the spirit to persuade the elderly. Because it is bothersome.

In other words, "fogy" is one of the "pathology" or "attribute" that a organization should possess fateably.

Basically, there is no solution to "fogy".
