2014-11-21 "Bigdata must die" [長年日記]

At the last lecture, I said "bigdata must die".

I introduced this phase to the audience as just ice breaker, but it was a provocative subject in these days.

-----

However, some phrases are omitted indeed.

The whole phrases are followings.

- Not setting of the business target,

- believing that something good is going to appear when tampering with bigdata,

- being danced by buzz words in the field,

- gathering data that is lack of mandatory items, is left the extra ordinal values, is not normalized, and is like waste product and raw garbage with corrupt smell,

- building enormous data in front of me , that need more than twenty minutes for data loading,

- believing that surprising data trend that have never discovered since now is going to be discovered, really,

- Foolish executives.

- You must die.

A friend of my friend told me that he has extracted just the two words "Bigdata" and "must die".
