I remember the days,

Popping an apple and a bottle of water in rucksack, and pitching a set of ski goods in my car, driving to a sky place,

Who gave me what kind of incentive was ? 。

I wonder why the coffee and the chilly hot dog, that cost was three dollars only , was so delicious.

When The other days, I saw the phase of dangler "the happiest food in your life",

I cannot remember any food in my life, except for the coffee and the chilly hot dog.

Now I live in days of justification by faith.

Recently, I often hear phrases "Technology that Japan boasts to the world" in a bookstore and TV program.

Whenever I hear the phrase, I have a great feeling of wrongness and disgust.

Previously, I calculated a ration between humanities department and sciences department in Japan, when I investigated school expresses in Japan.

It's almost 7:3.

The ratio of humanities department might become high, because not all of the student graduated from sciences department become scientists and engineers.

Now I am writing this daily in a commute train, and I can find almost 30 persons in this cargo. So, there are only nine persons who work for science field.

There seemed to be a fatuous novelist who made a great contribute to the lowering of mathematics in Japan, taking stupid his wife's comment seriously.

I seemed to upset my health and tool a day off on my futon.

Afternoon of the day before yesterday, I felt sick. As soon as feeling vomiting, I decided to go home.

In this year, last week, my wife and the junior daughter has already been hit, and the symptom was terrifying.

"Only three seconds after vomiting reflex"

It is really "no time" to come to the restroom.

While putting this stuff away using mask, vinyl glove and bleach, I thought "this cold is hard-case"

That aside.

As soon as coming back to home, I asked my wife bucket, plastic bag, towel and something to drink, and collapsed onto mu futon,

In spite of many pieces the futon, I could not stop feeling cold. After that, body temperature became hot and I reduced the futon. That was a typical situation that I could not "body temperature adjustment".

I knew it is a disease, but the problem was, whether just the cold or the flu.

Even if it was the flu, I had to give up going to the office for this week, however, it is not serious problem for me.I am not likely to bear the suffer from the flu for many days under the high heat of 39 degrees .

I dislike any pain and suffering thoroughly. Even if I know that the disease is going well in a few days, I come to think "I want to die". I am an owner of wimpy guts.

When a young audience asked a question,

"I think that Mr.Ebata has been programming about numerous AI technologies, so would you tell me your recommended programming language?"

I almost said

"It is "C/C++""

but, I made it back,

"I think " Python" is good for you. Because there are many implementation examples of AI technology and the libraries"

At that time, I realized that I became

"a good adult"

I am afraid that it is difficult for smokers to understand that this violence smell of tobacco smoke to destroy my joyful meal. And I give myself up on explaining about it.

I think that many smokers think "I have a good smoking manner", and I can agree with them from the view point of "passive smoking".

However, according to "smell of smoke", it is a different story.

"Smell of smoke" is --- I don't know the mechanism --- terrible intense.

For example, I cannot run away from the smell through all commute walking, by just an existence of leading smoking person, 200 meters apart from me.

This case might occur because of "good smoking manner", in another respect.

The other day, I read an article that the restaurant that deal with separation of smoking areas, loses sales.

I can understand it.

For me, I don't get a seat near a smoking corner, because I cannot stand for the smell.

If no seat apart from the corner, I leave the restaurant.

The article said that younger cannot keep working in that restaurant.

Sweeping a smoking corner is likely to be a "torture in gas chamber" for them.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has changed its policy to accept "the possession of a smartphone more than elementary school students".

When my daughter's school permitted it, I was forced to give them, despite "they do not want my daughter".

It was "for me" instead of "for children".

Recently, restaurants target of "one-person seat" have been highlighted.

At ramen shops and grilled meat restaurants, I know that one-person seat have been familiar before. However, now the seats are coming up to family-friendly restaurants.

"One-person seat at family restaurant" feels something contradiction, but if there are enough needs, even a family it is matural that the restaurants will take the seats.

I've written a lot about what I've loved about a single meal.

I wrote the followings, just looking for it.

However, I noticed that

I have not been a minority

The trend of "meal alone" has big market share where family-friendly restaurant could set up "one-person seats".

Somehow, I feel like being betrayed by the world, however, this is just my feeling.

However, I am wondering whether "the person" of "one-person seat" has a mind of "one person mind" like me.

Even when I was asked from a junior,

"Which is better to eat rice with me" or to eat alone while reading a book?"

I wonder if they can answer

"Don't be silly. Do you think that you can beat the book? "

in front of the junior with the same mind of mine.

When it comes to declaring a state of emergency, I think "martial law" should be on the menu.

If "martial law" were to be declared, of course there would have to be Self-Defense Forces personnel with tanks and small arms at the scramble intersections of Shinjuku and Shibuya, standing on their heads and glaring at the citizens on the street.

The Self-Defense Forces -- that would mean mobilizing security forces, however,

In Japan, there has never been a "security mobilization" actually issued.

In order for this to be triggered, it would have to be at a level where Otemachi is on fire or the SDF base is under missile attack.

This is not a card that the Cabinet can easily play.

When people on the street talk about "loosening up" in interviews, I feel somewhat uncomfortable.

In the first place, I think the people at the TV station are interviewing the wrong people, and I think the people being interviewed are nonsense.

For me, I would run away immediately if this kind of interview approached me.

If I don't run away and answer...

"Yes! I'm loose. That's why I'm here. You don't have to ask me any lame questions either!

I will respond as such. And I'm ready to appear in the evening news footage, have my name and address exposed, and go to the flames.

I mean, if they're going to interview someone, it's me, I think, who spends more than 15 hours a day doing simulations and coding on my PC at home.

My next corona vaccination (3rd dose) is this Friday.

Now I'm thinking, 'Oh! No!".

I, Tomoichi Ebata, am a "working person" during my working hours on weekdays, but I am a "private person" outside of those hours.

And, on Saturdays and Sundays, as a "private person", I generally invest almost all my time in researching materials, creating charts, writing columns, and simulations.

I've heard from various sources that the third adverse reaction is going to be terrible.

If I have to spend this Saturday and Sunday dealing with adverse reactions, my writing for the March column will be in serious critical condition.

Looking back...

The first time, I was not aware of any adverse reactions.

The second time, I had difficulty walking at times during the next day and the day after that.

In general, I think that my wife and I had a mild adverse reaction.

So I'm sure that the third will be minor -- however,

I am continuing to practice to give a one-hour lecture on AI technology in English for international students.

The basic rule for international conference presentations is "practice 30 times in advance," but as expected, I cannot spend 30 hours in a one-hour lecture, so I use the time to take a walk, take a bath, or use the restroom.

I am currently working on "creating a city on the computer identical to an actual town.

I will spare you the details, but if I do not complete and move this, I will not graduate from college.

This process melts away the entire weekend.

It's a horrible and annoying process, but there's no academic content. Even if I could tell you all about the hard work.

What is troublesome is not "freely designing a city" as in a game but "building in" a city that exists in reality.

Fictitious settings such as "warps" or "doors to anywhere" are prohibited.

When I was working for the company, I thought I could create a prototype system in a much shorter time, but now it is as slow as a "turtle.

I thought again, 'Why is it taking so long?' and realized an obvious fact.

"I've been putting the hard work on "others"."

Others" are, for example, colleagues in the company or software subcontractors.

I had the overwhelming support of such people, so I would have been able to build at the "speed of light" compared to today.

However, I am the sole creator of the system, which is the subject of my research at the university.

Naturally, the speed would be like that of a tortoise.

I have often described myself as "working hard on my own," but there is only so much one person can do.

Even though it is a virtual city, it is a real challenge to create this all by oneself.

This city, will it be completed -- there are days when I can't sleep because I'm so scared to think about it.

This may be a "retaliation" for my presumption that I was doing my best on my own.
