Recently, in Japanese animation and manga, there are many works that deal with "another world".

In the "reader's point of view", I think that it matches the need for "Escapism".

However, when I think of this from the "maker's point of view", I can come to see another aspect.

(1)If they draw them in the extension of the real world, it makes it easier for the hero to take unexpected and unusual action.

and

(2)If they keep the relationship with the real world, it is easier than creating a different world concept from scratch

I think that it also contributes to make the reason of "easy" for the creators.

Of course, I think the design of the different world is rather difficult.

Not only Japan but also literatures of "another world" have been everywhere at any time.

Religions are representatives that deals with "another world" itself.

That aside.

Recently, I watch recorded overseas dramas during making and having lunch every weekend.

In foreign dramas, various concept dramas continue to appear in order to make unusual stories, and they make me happy.

- Secret organization by super genius group (Scorpion)

- Asperger's Syndrome Doctor (Good Doctor)

- Former fraudster criminal investigator (Mentalist)

In the old one

- Country novelist aunt (Aunt Jessica's casebook)

And recently

- Criminal investigation by the devil who can use magic power (Lucifer)

has appeared.

Of course, it is a rule that we don't say "if he is the Great Devil Lucifer, he will be able to solve any case on the spot"
