今更、言うまでもないのですが、仕事において「一生懸命」は基本的に評価対象ではありません。
Needless to say, "Working with heart and soul" is not a evaluation object basically.
「一生懸命」は、結果(アウトプット)の内容から、その経緯(プロセス)が「推測」されるだけです。
Only the process of "with heart and soul" will be estimated with contents of the output.
アウトプットなしに、「一生懸命」を客観化する方法としててっとり早いのは、
Easy ways to objectify the "with heart and soul", without the outputs, are,
(1)自己申告 ―― 『私は一生懸命やっていました』と自己主張する
(1)Declaration by myself --- I declare that "I have done my best"
(2)残業時間 ―― 『私は、これだけの時間を費していました』という物証を残す
(2)Over time ----- I leave an evidence that "I have spent time for work"
の2つくらいしかありません。
I cannot think others except for the above two.
で、上記(2)の「一生懸命」の客観化は、「残業」「長時間労働」という形で表わすしかありませんでした。
Above all, according the above (2), we have no way except for "overtime work" and "long working hours".

ところが、近年の「働き方改革」によって、「残業」が否定される風潮にあります。
However, the recent "Work Style Reform" activation, is going to make "overtime work" and "long working hours" deny.
結果として、「一生懸命の客観化」の一つが、使えなくなってきています。
As a result, we don't come to use one of the method of objectiveness of "with heart and soul".
勿論、我が国においては「自己主張」は美徳とされていませんので、事実上、「一生懸命の客観化」は抹殺された、といっても良いかもしれません。
Of course, in Japan, "declaration by myself" is not virtue, so as a matter of fact, I think that the objectiveness of "with heart and soul" has already sealed.
すると、「アウトプット」そのもので評価される世界になるのですが、評価しやすいアウトプットであれば良いのですが、世の中には評価しにくいアプトプットもあります。
So, we have to evaluate "output, itself", however, there are many outputs that are difficult to be evaluated in the world.
例えば、数学、アルゴリズム、オペレーティングシステム、あるいはインフラ保守(電気、水道、ガス)のような、専門性の高い分野の業務は、評価がしにくいのです。
For example, math formula, algorithm, operating system and infrastructure maintenance(electricity, water and gas) are high-technicality, so they are difficult to be evaluated.

実は、「一生懸命の客観化」には、もう一つ、方法があります。
To tell you the truth, there are another objectiveness of "with heart and soul".

It is a "breakdown" (sick in bed, hospitalized, and fatigue death)
