今回、私は、「ダイエット界の『フェルマーの最終定理』」と言れている、あの2大難問

Now I tried to explain about two difficult problems from the viewpoint of mathematics , that is said "Fermat's last theorem" in the diet world,

■部分痩せ(ウエストだけ痩せる)は本当に存在するのか

- partial diet (for example, we can lose only weight of waist)

■順番痩せ(ダイエットをすると、胸から無くなっていく)は本当に存在するのか

- turn of partial diet (for example, we have to lose only bust of waist first when we diet)

の数理的アプローチに挑戦しました

で、一昨日、ようやく脱稿して、編集部に提出してホッとしているところです。

The other day, I could finish writing and submitting it with relief.

昨夜、長女に、この研究・・・もとい、検討結果を披露していたのですが、話の途中で長女から質問を受けました。

When I presented my research...calculation results to my senior daughter last night, she suddenly asked me a question.

長女：「パパ。ブラのAカップとか、Bカップって、結局のところ、何なの？」

"Papa. What is "A cup", "B cup" of brassiere eventually ?"

私：「それはだな ―― 実際パパも今回の執筆で初めて知ったのだが ―― トップバストとアンダーバストの数値の差分を、2.5cm単位で区分したもので・・・」

"That means, to tell you the truth, I could know it first in this writing, is a difference between a woman's top bust size and under bust size, and is divided by 2.5cm ..."

―― って、何で、父親が娘に「ブラのカップの定義」の説明をせにゃならんのだ ？

"Why does her father explain the definition of brassiere cup to her ?"

この娘の、母親、友人、そして学校当局は、もう少し、がんばって貰いたいものです。
