(Continuation from yesterday)

"Programming" can not be "fun". The words of "penance" or "guilt" is better than it.

Programming is a concrete mean of trying "dialogue with a machine (computer)" for the first time in human history,

Moreover, we have to speak by new types of languages (programming languages) that human beings have never used before.

Besides, the programming language does not allow grammar error at all. It is too hard to compare with English grammar, (Even in English, conversation is established with only word sequence)

Historically, humans have tried communicating either "love" or "violence", however neither of these can be applied to computers. So, someone gets angry with computer, and throws a computer out of the window.

For both human beings and computers, "programming languages" are only tools to mutually understand at the last minute, and

While both sides feel pain (or inefficiency), nevertheless, mutual cooperation between the two sides is indispensable, and "it really can not be helped", "programming" should be worked.

(Continuation from yesterday)

Over the last couple of days I came up with "Trigonometric Function Necessity Theory" and developed various kinds of opinions. Before long, I would like to start the final chapter soon.

I have studied that when and how

"education that can thought of as being directly useless in daily life"

has started.

This is because the government of the Meiji Restoration took action, "mass production" of human resources for (1)encouragement of new industry, and (2)universal conscription.

Simply speaking, the current education curriculum is based on

"Manual-type encouragement process to mass-produce "high-efficiency workers" or "military personnel of adaptable fighting potential" at low cost"

(It is the same in direction as McDonald's part-time customer service manual)

In fact, looking at the educational content of the Navy and the Army Military Academy before World War II, they are almost same as present education curriculum.

This is the content.

Masters, Japanese language and old Chinese language (national language, Chinese language, composition), Foreign languages (choose one from English, French, German, Russian and Chinese), History (Japanese history / Western history), Mathematics (triangulation, geometry, geometry and calculus, algebra and calculus), Physics, Chemistry, Geography and geology, Psychology and logic, Legislation and economy, Drawing.

In education hours, Especially the total of foreign languages totaled 402 frames (one frame 50 minutes), mathematics total 318 frames, A total of 269 frames of national language and Chinese culture, Physics is 167 frames, Chemistry is 100 frames,

(Of course, soldiers, shooting, swordsmanship, gymnastics, judo, equestrianism, field practice, swimming exercises are also added)

This is a human resource development curriculum for making elites as a lead of the army, guide the war between nations to victory, in order to gain the greatest diplomatic effect.

This elite education curriculum is diverted almost entirely to the present educational process for many students, who

are not elites

have no ambition of a lifetime,

have no consciousness of the national leader

Well, it is natural that many people said that (there are different various opinions, though) "Education in Japan is at the world's highest level".

Most of us Japanese are forced to compel "super" elite education with ignoring student's qualities (ability and talent).

It is natural that some million people "fall out" or "become a hikikomori" in this unreasonable elite education process. To tell you the truth, I even think that the number is "small".

However, it is true that this unreasonable elite education can make Japan one of the world's leading economic powers. (Now even, it continues to fall down)

This is because Japanese people have been educated for not only excellent "military person" but also highly efficient "production equipment".

As we get older, we lose sight of our surroundings (the world), but we can also see things.

One of them is,

"It's tempting to give a well-rounded young persons more than they can handle."

For young engineers who responded to my tough questions without hesitation, or with hesitation, I want to get somethings greedy.

"If I hit her/him, I might be able to get more their power (ability)"

So I hit them.

And, they will soon be crushed, sick, and leave the company.

-----

"I see, the reason I kept getting beaten when I was younger was because I was too good"

I have just noticed that now.

However, I, on the other hand, haven't gone under, haven't gotten sick, haven't left the company--

"Was I not too good?"

I'm falling into recursive thinking.

-----

Anyway,

We seniors need to have the courage to give up our "greed"

I can understand that it's tempting to reach out when we see outstanding young talent, but,

I think the courage to 'leave their talent alone' is what we have to have.

Today, I finally feel like I'm on the road to recovery from the "strained back" I reported about the other day.

If you've ever experienced it, you may know that a "strained back" is a serious painful condition.

Can't we do something about calling that case of severe pain "strained back"?

In Europe, it is also known as the "witch's blow," but even this is not enough.

I've heard that the official name (general term) for a strained back is "acute back pain syndrome" -- but I'm still not convinced.

Can a serious complex disease of joint sprains, muscle injuries, and myofascial inflammation be called "acute low back pain" or even "strained back" in a derogatory way?

-----

Why is it such a derogatory name? I thought,

(1) Incredibly severe pain that forces a complete cessation of daily activities, and

(2) The appearance of the person is so 'unseemly' that it is ridiculed by others.

(3) Basically, there is no effective remedy or treatment (only poultice).

(4) In principle, complete rest for a long period of time (from a few days to two weeks) will heal the body.

I think it is a combination of items that are extremely difficult to evaluate: "severe pain," "unseemly" "no cure method," and "healing".

-----

The first step in the fight against "strained back" is to find a posture that does not cause pain.

For example, let's say you have found a posture in which you feel no pain, sitting deeply in a chair in your study (called state A) and standing up with your back straight (called state B).

However, a slight deviation from this state (e.g., state B with the upper body bent forward at a slight angle of about 2 degrees) is enough to cause severe pain.

In order to maintain this state, I cling to the things around me (desk, bookcase, shelves), which requires me to support my entire body with my arms.

But I don't have that kind of muscle power.

Eventually, I will be in state B', which is out of state B, and I will be screaming in extreme pain.

The speed at which I move my body will be about 0.2m/second, and the average travel time from the study to the living room table will be about 3 to 5 minutes (usually about 5 seconds).

In the toilet, arm strength is important as I go through the transition state from state A to state B.

In the toilet, arm strength is important as I go through the transition state from state A to state B.

It is a daily routine of trial and error with screams.

-----

I took a thorough sleep strategy this weekend.

After getting a good night's sleep, I finally took a method of forcing sleep by throwing in a stabilizer (x sleeping pills).

Thanks in part to these efforts, the operational range of states A and B began to expand, the pattern of transition vectors increased, and the number of "screams" decreased.

At this rate, I expect to be healed by the middle of this week.

And when I'm healed, I'll probably forget about this.

So now, I am keeping this as a record in my diary.

-----

This time, however, I was horrified just thinking about what I would have done if I hadn't had a companion (wife) to put poultices on my immobile body.

Now, when someone asks me what the point of marriage is, I can proudly answer, "To get a poultice on my lower back.

But at the same time

- This pain will become a part of my daily life as my body ages.

and,

- Entering the nursing care phase where even the spouse is no longer able to help me,

I was afraid to think about the above.

It is only when I am assured of healing that I am able to endure this intense pain.

-----

I am sure that this "strained back" was caused by the sudden death of my mother and the various responses that accompanied it.

I believe this is a message to me from my mother, who has been through the hell of caregiving for over a decade.

I think -- I am convinced that this is more of a "mother's blow" than a "witch's blow".

- Talking about one's attractiveness and abilities in terms of past achievements is useless.

- If you want to assert your attractiveness and abilities, you must show them through your work and studies in the "present" and "ongoing" state.

I was reminded of an old man (retired) who once emailed my daughter about his past career.

It contained information about my job, overseas assignments, his work history, etc. - even I was "taken aback" by the contents.

Since my daughter consulted me on this matter, I advised her on how to deal with the matter (matters related to the protection of personal information) in a calm manner. After that it seemed to be resolved.

This was an matter who made me realize that.

However, it is true that 'as you become a senior, you cannot perform as well as you did as a junior.

Therefore, I understand the senior's desire to 'hang on to his past glory' and 'have others understand how great he was in the past.

-----

In that respect, I am quite happy to have a field where I can talk about my 'past glory' in my columns and so on.

Therefore, I now want to exclaim with the utmost gratitude and condescension.

"Long live the editors of EE Times Japan!"

The success(?) of generative AI businesses, such as ChatGPT, etc. There is at least one thing that can be said about the success of these businesses.

"Cramming and courtesy education are the right approach."

There is no relationship between the "production" of generative AI technology and the "use" of generative AI technology (this is important, so let me say it upfront).

However, when we learn the " production " process of generative AI technology, we can see that.?

"To become a human being who can give accurate answers in a friendly manner like ChatGPT,"?

we need to "cram" a tremendous amount of knowledge and "train" ourselves to respond in a friendly and polite manner."

Please read this page for more information about that.

Also, please refer to this figure for "kind and courteous."

In other words, "those who skip learning essential knowledge and cannot even use honorifics are 'less than AI.

As far as I know, the claims of teenagers and their parents that "cramming education reduces thinking and imagination" are delusional.

This is because the power of thought and imagination is created by "adding on" little by little to existing thinking methods and processes.

In other words, I believe 'without base knowledge, there is no way to think or imagine beyond it.
